Yup. It's not like everyone's suddenly going to start building gaming PC's just because a few exclusives went multi-platform. Many people buy consoles just to play multiplats like FIFA and CoD anyway.

FTFY It's kinda obvious where they got their inspiration from when you see that they've hired Akira Yamaoka and had him compose Silent Hill-like tunes again Also, the game's got two worlds, one of which seems to look a lot like the otherworld from SH. It really couldn't be more obvious.

Of course I'll have to upgrade. Most of my PC has served me really well for 8 years already and I'm sure it will serve me well for a year more at least. That is some bang for buck value there (more so when you consider that my PC still plays most games much better than PS4). The base PS4, which released 7 years ago, can barely achieve native 1080p30fps on new games. So it's not really a "guaranteed performance for 8+ years" on consoles. And Medium-High settings =/= Medium settings. I play with most settings on High and a few on Medium, which still provides more graphical fidelity than consoles do for most games (barring the resolution) and I still get higher framerates (if not a locked 60). Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was you who predicted that next gen consoles might cost 800-1000$. If so, then you really need to calm down with these wild estimates. The 1650 had a launch price of 149$. Suppose Nvidia hikes the price by 100% for 3050 (which is unlikely but still). Then the cost of 3050 would be 300$. Then suppose our country goes crazy on the taxes and the Indian price is double the US price. Then the price would still be 600$, which is around 45K INR. Double that whole thing again just for shits and giggles and it still falls short of your estimate of 1 lakh+.

Man, PC gaming has such a bad rap with people thinking you need to spend lakhs and lakhs on it. IIRC, I assembled my PC for around 55-56K (including monitor and KB/mouse) back in 2012 and then upgraded my GPU for around 22K in 2015 (could've sold by old GPU for a small sum but gave it to a cousin). I'm still using that same PC and play most new games on medium-high settings at 1080p and they still look and play on par, if not better, than on my PS4 Pro. I can't go above 1080p on my PC though but I prefer higher framerate over higher resolution anyway. There's obviously a big price difference but I must've recouped that at least a few multiple times over with how absurdly cheaper games are on PC (more so for someone like me who plays a lot of indie games). I'm not trying to downplay consoles because they do have their own benefits. My point is that you don't always have to buy the absolute top tier components and game on the highest ultra settings on PC. Your PC does not become obsolete if it isn't able to do that in a few years because it can still hold its own for a long time. I'm, of course, speaking entirely from my own experience.

Yup. I've heard The Meyerowitz Stories is great too but I'm yet to watch it.

Yeah, even I found it very annoying initially but that changed as the movie went along. Adam Sandler's character was still a piece of sh*t but by the end, I kinda felt bad for the guy. It's weird but maybe that's a sign of a good screenplay.
