Ok now I’m wondering if I did a mistake getting this on steam because of the dualsense features

You can get it refunded within 14 days of release and with less than 2hrs of playtime.

  2. Man, this game is so far ahead of anything I've ever experienced in gaming. It's so immersive that when I remove the headset after a fairly long session, I actually have this weird out-of-body experience where my own hands don't feel like my hands anymore

Also, I've been grabbing and throwing any glass bottle I can find using the wonderfully intuitive gravity gloves for an achievement (and also because it's satisfying as f**k). It had become so instinctive to me that when I grabbed a glass bottle IRL, I had this strong urge to fling it across the room

And speaking of glass bottles, it feels insane when you see the liquid sloshing around inside them with realistic physics.

The level of detail really can't be overstated. Even the ingredients and sh*t on the backs of random soda cans are legible.

Brilliant movie, right up there with Shawshank Redemption (90s had some brilliant gems)

Both based on books written by this deranged looking mofo.

  4. Borrowed a friend's Oculus Quest 2 and started playing this.

And HOLY FCUKIGN sh*t I do not have words to describe how awesome this game looks in VR. The awesomeness was almost too much for me to handle. My jaw hit the floor and just remained there.

Playing it on Ultra fidelity and the graphics, the physics, the interactivity, and the level of detail are just mind-blowingly bonkers! It feels like I've time-travelled several years into the future where sh*t like this is actually supposed to be possible.

And I don't know what black magic Valve has done, but I didn't feel motion sick at all even with continuous motion enabled.

Can't wait to play more tomorrow.

  5. Went in with low expectations for Love and Thunder and was still kinda disappointed.

I actually enjoyed the first two-thirds of the movie. Many of the jokes didn't land, but the ones that did gave me a good laugh. And I couldn't really fault the movie for much as it felt like a Saturday morning cartoon and wasn't taking itself seriously (something that was par for course).

But then the last act came about and all the heavy-handed direction and screenplay chinks came to a head. I actually zoned out a few times because of how boring it got and how little I cared about anything that was going on.

There were moments that were supposed to be serious and emotional that the movie just does not earn. So I was just left staring with a blank face.

Maybe more run-time would've helped. But as it stands, the movie just feels very disjointed.

And this is coming from someone who loved Ragnarok.

Ohh and Russel Crowe stole the show BTW.

Because good writing can make KRATOS SMASH an even more enjoyable experience.

Writing's the best it's ever been since they decided to give Kratos some depth and showed sides to his character that one would otherwise not have seen. And it looks like they're taking that further in this game.

If a mere conversation about homosexuality (that's not even out of place) can affect your enjoyment so much, then I guess the games just aren't meant for the ultra-sensitive among us now.

I personally don't even care about the character of Atreus that much and play these games so that I can have epic battles with gods from different mythologies as Kratos.

Why do you care about what's organic and what's not when all you care about is KRATOS SMASH? I'm sure you'll still get plenty of that.

Sounds like that "organic" bullshit was you just making up an excuse to skirt around the real issue here.

There's a difference between that organically happening, like how Cory basically drew inspiration from his own life to come up with the concept of a Father and Son story for the reboot as he had become a new father himself around that time, and people forcing it into everything they work on, regardless of whether the story needs it or not, which is what a lot of writers in America, including the guy in the screenshot I linked above, seem to be doing these days.

I don't see how it can't be organic.

With Atreus now being a teenager and Parenting being a running theme in the reboot, I'd say it would be completely natural for homosexuality to come up in one of their conversations. It could be a nice character moment for Kratos even.

Nah, equating sh*t we don't need in a God of War game with sh*t we don't need in a God of War game.

Send a list of sh*t you don't need to Sony next time. I'm sure they'll listen to your invaluable opinion.

  10. Watched The Sea Beast on Netflix last night and enjoyed it a lot.

The third act was quite sloppy and wasn't nearly as impactful as it wanted to be. And there were some interesting things in the movie that I felt could've been explored a bit more with a little more runtime.

But it was still a fun-filled adventure with luscious visuals and some surprisingly good characters (especially Jared Harris's).

    Definitely worth a watch.

I like the one from Dishonored. The lyrics are much darker too :D

This game slipped under the radar. Reviews look good but it says something about the game being harder than usual

It's not a whole lot tougher than other games in the series.

Going for the plat is an entirely different story though. That will definitely make you pull your hair out.

@STICK3Rboy How does the save work before quitting? I thought checkpoint are saves and quit it after playing like 15 mins but the game starts all over again...

Yeah, you can't save mid-level. Checkpoints are only for respawning after deaths.

But OTOH, the levels aren't very long.

Death Stranding is Kojima's best work.

    And a masterpiece!

I really love Death Stranding, but it comes nowhere close to being as good as MGS3 which remains Kojima's best work IMHO.

It was an all around fantastic package with an amazing story and characters and some of the best boss battles ever. These are areas in which DS is utterly lacking.
