  1. Just a couple of hours in and I'm finding it hard to put the game down. I'm not being able to get as many finishers in as I'd hoped but I'm really enjoying the combat as well so far.

Why can't it be the weekend already? <_<

A Quiet Place - A nicely made thriller. Starts off a little slow but post the interval, it's very intense. The entire audience in my theater clapped at the ending. Highly recommend this gem. Chk it out ppl.

Yup. It's a very well made thriller. I felt it was pretty similar to Dunkirk in that both of them are survival thrillers with little to no exposition or even spoken dialogue for that matter.

But while Dunkirk failed at creating nail-biting tension (at least for me), A Quiet Place absolutely shines. Great sound design and a great movie overall (despite the pretty generic ending).

  3. I wish the gameplay in this was more....meaty. The game felt to me like a series of short co-op minigames for the most part.

Still had good fun with it though and the ending was great indeed. Also, the fact that you only need one copy for online co-op as well is definitely appreciated.

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War moved up to April 27th. The first half of the two-film superhero story will open a week earlier than scheduled.

Deadpool 2 on May 18th. Solo: A Star Wars Story a week after.

Infinity War's Indian release date was already April 27th :P

Also, that moment when you realize all 3 of these movies belong to the same parent company..... :|

  5. Yeah, that sense of wonder each time you see a new colossus and that feeling of achievement you get when you finally manage to kill it is gone.

I'm playing on Hard and I still feel like I'm just bulldozing through everything. But I guess that is expected when you're on your third playthrough.

Not taking anything away from this remake though. I think it's pretty fantastic and I'm loving the 60fps framerate in performance mode. Newcomers will have a ball of a time with it.

Wish I could just erase my memories and play this for the first time all over again *sigh*

  6. I thought all that great build-up would lead up to something that would be gloriously cathartic, which I felt wasn't the case.

Still, I didn't think the climax was bad or anything and I definitely didn't feel it took away from the movie as a whole. It was just a case of me, as a viewer, expecting something quite different from what the writers were going for. Happens.

Yup, loved it. And I liked the ending, usually these kind of movies have this kind of ending. A pretty gripping movie from beginning to the end.

I thought the climax was a bit....tame. Was kinda expecting something more eventful. It's probably just me though.

  8. Watched The Ritual on Netflix and loved every bit of it. Well, except maybe the climax, which was kind of a let down for me.

Still, the movie was pretty f**king great up until that point and it actually reminded me of The Witch at times with its air of mystery and quietly unsettling atmosphere.

It also has some beautifully shot locales and some very excellent sound design (gotta love it when a movie knows how to create tension with sound effects alone).

I'd say it's definitely worth watching.

I had tickets for Black Panther today. Overslept and missed it. :wallbash:

lol funny how pretty much the same thing happened to me with Shape of Water over the weekend. 300rs down the drain :\

Anyway, watched Black Panther. Don't really have much to say other than that I thought it was pretty ordinary and forgettable. Meh.
