When is the India release date?
I think it's June 6. Same as the US release date.
Tom Cruise movies are always fun to watch.
92% on RT.
And it's got reviews like these. I'm totally hyped for it now.

Edge of Tomorrow is getting very good reviews. Granted they are still early reviews, but I did not expect them to be so good

You shut your wh*re mouth..

Fassbender is boss supreme.

Back from dofp. Amazing movie. Still doesn't top first class but comes as close as it can get to it.
Great storytelling and characterization. Sentinel scenes were Very Brutal!!
Fassbender was a total badass. He's just perfect as Magneto.
And even I found some of the deaths very brutal for a PG-rated superhero movie. I'm not complaining though

Good to see all the First Class love here. That movie was genuinely good and all that without Wolverine taking up the spotlight.
Yup. It also had an amazing, goose-bump inducing theme track.

Watched DOFP. Thought it was a good movie, nothing exceptional like First Class. 3D was fantastic though.
Also, did anyone catch the How to train your dragon 2 trailer shown before the movie? The 3D in that trailer frigging blew my mind. June 13 can't come soon enough.

Just came back from Godzilla and I loved it!
I actually loved the fact that it was shown mostly from a human point of view. It really puts the enormous scale into perspective. It's something which I felt was lacking in Pacific Rim (which I loved too btw). Though I knew the jaegers and kaijus in Pacific Rim were supposed to be gigantic, I don't think I was ever awestruck at the scale. With Godzilla I was! Some of the shots were just breathtakingly beautiful!
Oh and the roar is just magnificent!
But I was a little irked that the humans didn't seem to react to it. I wanted them to at least try to cover up their ears. I thought it was really deafening!
I think that a movie like this works best when you give it your full attention so it can immerse you into its world. That is when the human perspective works IMO.
Also, I knew before-hand about how the movie cuts away when it looked like there was going to be a throw-down. It might be the reason why I wasn't bothered by it much.
Just FYI, I loved Cloverfield too. So take my opinion whichever way you will

Goddamnit, now I am genuinely debating if I want to see it at the theaters. :/
If you think you are ever going to watch this movie, then watch it in a theater. It just wouldn't be the same when you watch it at home.

End was fantastic.Yup.
It's also the first movie to be shot with IMAX 3D cameras. It's gonna be amazing

Cap america was fine in terms of darkness. You need to watch Hansel and Gretel Darkest movie in a theater. Thor 2 also.
Are you sure about gravity being post-converted? Its my favourite 3D movie experience in a theater.
I watched Hansel and Gretel in a theater and I don't remember it being dark.
The darkest for me was Deathly Hallows 2. Some of the scenes were so dark I could only see Voldy's head floating in thin air

I'm speaking from personal experience when I say that darkness really does depend on which theater you watch it in (though I think there are a few movies which are brightened up during post production so they don't look too dark in 3D). The 3D effects like depth on the other hand depend on how good the post-conversion of the movie is or if it was shot in 3D.
And yes, Gravity was post-converted.

Depends on which movie you're watching. Most movies (especially the Marvel ones) are post converted and don't look good - too dark, no depth etc. Some which are actually shot in 3D like ASM2 look great. I think Godzilla is shot in 3D if I'm not wrong.
Actually quite a few of the recent post-converted movies were great in 3D. Pacific Rim, Gravity and Star Trek 2 come to mind. Even TASM2 was post-converted. But I do agree that a movie shot in 3D looks better when compared to a post-converted movie.
Regarding the movies being too dark, I believe it depends on the theater you go to. I watch all 3D movies in Cinepolis and IMAX now and I have yet to see a dark 3D movie there. I didn't find Captain America 2 dark either even though it lacked depth (a trait common to all Marvel movies).

Maybe not worth mentioning but I sure as hell remember many of the scenes even today. The craziness was off the charts in that movie. In a good way.
And speaking of inchoherent, just watch sucker punch if you haven't. Something trivial happens, suddenly its a war zone lol. I would even say Man of Steel but Snyder was somewhat restrained to unleash his true charisma because maybe he respects superman. The dude has a serious obsession with Green Screen. Take that away and he won't be able to direct sh*t.
I personally can't wait for Batman vs Superman. Hyped as hell for that one. Him ruining Batman is going to just rock my world.
I have watched Sucker Punch. It is a bad movie overall, but it has some great action sequences.
And about the warzone scene you mentioned, it just means the movie's script is incoherent, not the action scene itself.
-
Oh I do like over the top action movies. I love flicks like Shoot 'em up which know how to present brainless, silly, switch-your-brain-off action on the screen well. Unlike Snyder and Bay who don't know jack sh*t about shooting a good action sequence without using slo-mo, CGI or making 100 cars explode in the background just for the sake of it.
And it's fine if you like their brand of "action". You may even label people who don't to be conceited or think of yourself as having a "diversified" sense in films. I just think that people who like Snyder's and Bay's worthless mess have a god awful taste in the action genre.
Peace.
Though I enjoyed Shoot 'em up, I can't remember it having even a single action scene worth mentioning.
And who cares if Snyder and Bay use slow-mo or CGI or whatever the f**k they want as long as we get to see a great action sequence?
Also, which of Zack Snyder's action sequences did you find incoherent? I'm seriously curious.

^^ Excellent film. Probably the last great non-Ghibli/non-Makoto Shinkai full length anime feature..

Also, the soundtrack is just epic

EDIT:
Anyone watched this movie? If so, how is it? I've been planning to watch it for quite a while now.
-
how is occulus as a movie though ? i've heard praises.
I highly recommend it.
A very well crafted movie which constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat after about a half an hour into its runtime.
Just don't expect it to scare you a lot though.
9/10 from me.

Is it exclusive to nvidia graphic cards? I couldn't find it in the graphics options.
What Joe said in the above post.
BTW, I used this preset and reduced the brightness to 4.
-
Assassins creed 4 is gorgeous
It looks even better with sweetfx IMO.

Yeah you shouldn't miss Eva Green.

hehe yeah

-
yup as usual....love making scenes were censored.
I'll skip watching it in a theater then. I don't wanna pay to watch a butchered movie.
Thanks

Being able to play as Bruce Wayne doesn't sound too interesting.
Will wait and watch what they come up with though.

Though I did find the video quite funny, its concept is pretty baseless.
Took the liberty of copy-pasting the below youtube comment which more or less sums up my opinion.
I really do not understand how this is supposed to mimic True Detective. The whole bit is him spouting complete gibberish that is incomprehensible. The only thing that would make this skit make any sense and be funny is if the actual words the actors on the show spoke were not actual words but "gibberish" Or if the audio track on the show was f**ked up. Since this is not the case on True Detective, The only thing that this skit shows is what very well written and intelligent dialogue sounds like to retarded people. I get what they tried to do here but it is just a huge fail. -
Watched 300 Rise of an Empire - The movie is more about story this time and less on action. Overall a pretty good movie, Eva Green was fantastic. Get ready for another 300 movie ....sequel coming up for sure

Were any scenes cut?
-
Now that is what you call a test match.....tough as nails to the very end.Thoroughly deserving win to the Aussies. Good fight put up by SA as well.Kinda sad to see such an awesome series come to an end though.
And normal service resumed by Australians

Indeed

-
Not really surprised by Smith's decision. It was probably the right thing to do. He hardly scored any runs and would have anyway been dropped after this test. Saved himself the blushes I reckon.

Yup. It always feels like the guy gives it his all in every role he plays.
Anyway, it looks like The Raid 2 is releasing this weekend. Great news if true. This weekend was looking barren in terms of new movie releases.
