I don't think many people know that it's an Evil Dead reference.

The serpent hunter's flashy moves only work against Rykard. That's the "gimmick".

The graphics and atmosphere are great, but otherwise it looks just about okay. The zelda glider looks really goofy here, and Red Hood's combat seems quite clunky. Will wait and see how it turns out by release day.

Watched DS2. Not a particularly great movie, but a really fun ride nonetheless. The movie is at its most enjoyable when Raimi's having fun with its horror elements. I absolutely loved the part where Strange I actually now find myself craving for a long overdue re-watch of the Evil Dead trilogy. Also, have to really appreciate the MCU here for building such a rich film & TV universe. Even though many of their movies are cookie-cutter, they've still managed to cram together sh*t like witchcraft, sorcery, mysticism, aliens, gods, super-soldiers, spies, robots, time-travelling, multiverse, and what have you while still maintaining coherence. Definitely not an easy task.

To think, this was initially supposed to come out in Jan 2021.
-
Yeah, it will have to come out on streaming or blu-ray first for that to happen. And that's gonna take a couple of months :\ These are pretty niche movies which probably can't find much of an audience here. If anything, this comment made me go seek it out

A remastered version will apparently have a theatrical release later this year. So you might wanna wait for that.

Amazing visuals and music! Hope they release the trailer in HFR too. This has kinda given me the urge to get back to HFW. Well, it's available to watch in theaters in the US But on a serious note though, it's not available for us yet. We'll have to wait a couple of months I guess.

Yeah, IMAX would be the safer bet. 4DX can be quite hit or miss. I'm willing to risk it because I absolutely loved the 4DX implementation in Ford v Ferrari, and I'm hoping this will have a similar (if not better) experience. Also, I don't have an option for IMAX I'd say go for IMAX first, and if the reviews for 4DX are good, then go see it once more

Yup. Seeing all those reactions from the cinemacon premiere has got me even more hyped (more than even for Doctor Strange).

Yup. Definitely one of the hardest boss fights in the game. Also, there's a place that you get to later on where you can choose to fight three of those motherf**kers at once The one in Caelid is much, much tougher
-
Yeah, that boss-fight's a bitch. It's that little cubbyhole of an arena that makes it more annoying than the boss itself. You fight the same boss later in bigger areas and those fights aren't nearly as frustrating. Also, if you liked this boss-fight, you'll love Putrid Tree Spirit in Caelid

Have you tried two-handed jump attacks and charged attacks? Also, if you have a moonveil katana, its weapon arts do significant posture damage.

My favourite piece of music from Skyrim. Still gives me the chills after all these years.

Putting it like that sells the game way too short. There are many huge open-world games out there (some of them with much bigger worlds) but most of them still dwarf in comparison when it comes to depth and scope. ER pretty much rewires your brain on what you can expect out of an open-world game.

It's not just because of GoW. The combat is indeed weak and shallow. It single-handedly made the game a chore to finish towards the end.
