If u want a fast weapon red rust scimitar is good aswell

yo guys, i have a str build as of now, and i am in drangelic castle... i am confused what sword to use? right now i am switching between bastard, claymore and mastodon sword, i don't want ultra greatsword as its slow as hell, something fast... claymore is doing the job quite well, i still haven't upgraded it to +10, i don't wanna waste my titanite slabs.... what sword you guys recommend...
and i've heard good things about sun sword also? it is good. How to get it? I am doing a blind playthrough, so depending only on lore is not solving anything for me....

Sun sword is a quality sword does best with points in both strength and dexterity
U get it by devoting 20 sunlight medals to the heirs of the sun covenant

When u enter the room drop down there is a zombie who rings the bell which is hidden under the stairs u can kill him and the pyromancers wont spawn

What is best place to get summoned by white sign? I want to rank up in sun covenant to get the miracle and sword. Sl 150 SM 42 lack and in ng. I think ng guys can coop with ng+ if they are in SM range
Will do coop also if anyone wants to do
Best place i found was the double dragonrider fight u will get summoned a ton of times

Get clear bluestone ring +2 by killing skeleton lords on ng+ or using bonfire asthetics its pretty much the best ring for a caster

500 kills :S damnOnly arena matches count for ranking up. Each win gives +1 point and a loss is -1. 50 points for rank 1, 150 for 2 and 500 for 3. And if you lose after getting to rank 1, and get below 50 points you lose your rank. This is the only covenant where rank is not permanent.
Its just too tough to rank up fairly in arena. Too many eustus chugging Havel gears Lol. Its better to play without trying to rank up, have fun trying different gears and improve skill. You can get cracked red eye orbs if you win. Use them and invade for more fun. That's what I have been doing. Just got 99 orbs few days ago, its time to invade
but not played for past few days. For weapons try long range weapons like spears, reapers and halberds, some of them have nice R2 attacks. Twin blades and lances also look cool. I never tried any of them though. I only like swords. For swords If you haven't used already try trusting swords, really good weapons for Dex builds. Have a trusting sword in left hand and a katana on right, nice combination. Espada ropera and estoc are best if all. Personally like estoc because of R2 attack. There is also a boss trusting weapon, didnt upgrade it but i think it does good damage too.
Will try one of the rapier thx for the suggestion

Dont know abt lightning spear but u can get three copies of great lightning spear in one playthrough

Yup a lot of npc's have been buffed like lucatiel,benhart,pate,etc

i will not infuse.
dex for close range fights and int for medium to long range.
what about manslayer, murakamo?
Donno about those the only ones i have used are chaos blade,washing pole and blacksteel katana

about to start my ng+ playthrough.
bored of faith build, so will respec to dex/int.
will have 40 dex and 40 int.
suggest some weapons and staff for this build. also, best sorceries in this range.
one more thing, does anyone playing on ps3 have some spare twinkling titanites?can trade with some other thing.
I would suggest go either dex or int coz if u infuse weapon with magic the dex scaling will be reduced and if u dont infuse it there will be no scaling for int
The best dex weapon is blacksteel katana IMO

If u want hexes as well i guess the sunset staff or black witch staff(which casts all hexes,miracles and sorceries)is a pretty good alternativeUse hexer hood instead of the witch hat it also gives +1 int and +1 faith stat bonus.
Guess going for staff which does more damage is better like he said. But staff of wisdom can't cast dark spells right? Im using amana staff, but problem with amana staff is it does less damage when you are hollow.
Im waiting for mugenmonkey character builder. Can make nice builds once its done.
Its the santiers spear u get it in doors of pharros another one of the many things in this game which are OPI f**king hate them.
Anyone here tried using this spear (forgot it's name), when it's normal its just like a plain ol spear, but when you break it (500 durability, takes a while) it's moveset changes and it gets that of a twinblade, spear AND halberd. And then Mundane it up to wreak sh*t.
I think you get that spear in one of the Memories.
