    So Im wrong about that...I see u had a laugh about it

     

    So did I when the whole world got GTA 4 on the 29th while everyone here was bitin their nails...confused about when the shipment arrives.

     

    And now MS's thinkin of windin up 360 ops.....looks like the only gaming us Indians will be doin is by importin @ premium duty from abroad.

    Woudnt give a rats @$$ anyways....merchant navy ftw !!

    I have noticed something that my controller doesn't vibrate at all during the game even though the vibrating part has been enabled

     

    any ideas ?

     

    Do u have the normal $ix- axis controller or the dual shock one ? as far as I'm aware it hasent been launched in India yet,

    Sometimes u can notice smoke commin out the windsheild, happens when he's smokin pot :)

     

    The minor details have been handled well.

    I am in about 4 hours and here's more of my impressions. There's definitely some thought gone into the story and dialogue and characters this time around - I just hope I don't have to eat these words in a couple of weeks. the voice acting is amazing. But the character models (other than Niko) suck. I would expect these char models to be on the PS2, but Niko looks to be set in the HD world. So many radio channels and I couldn't find anything worth listening to - this is surprising because I loved the talk shows in VC and SA, and I am liberal with my music choice. Also, given the fact that this game is supposed to be set in NYC, that city has one of the best choices of radio. But that's something I can live with.

    But there are some brilliant touches - I like the car handling, the GPS, that irritating voice. I love the cellphone. But best of all I love the city. This is NYC the way it was meant to be. I could almost recognize places. The architecture, the houses. the cobbled streets, the horrible drivers. They're perfect. Small touches like places in the sidewalk so people in wheelchairs can climb up from the road - that's amazing!

    It's GTA - true to its core. But the one thing different from the other 3 - this game's got good dialogue. More later.

    PS. 10/10??? Don't know about it. Did R* pay truckloads or are we just missing something? Others care to chip in - but no spoilers please.

     

    I concur about the radio stations, maybe 1 or 2 worthwhile, but nothing to live upto VC / III / SA standards, lazlo was amazing in GTA III, he still has his own station but not as funny imo

     

    I'd say 8/10 overall

    9/10 GFX

    Story 7/10

     

    Nevertheless many improvements at the same time, good game for newbies to the GTA series.

    played an hour or so...too little to really judge....but not having seen the screenshots or videos/trailers before hand, i didnt really know what to expect....but the 10/10 score had raised my expectations, and so far, i havent been wowed

    So true.....I'm 52 % thru now, still I'm a bit dissapointed, I expected much better.

     

    Now doubt the gfx are amazing , the 'euphoria' engine makes ragdolls look amazing....But...just not what I'd expect in a GTA game

     

    GtA 4 ( the STORY Line) imo is way too serious than I wouldve wished for ...not as funny as the previous games

     

    For me--

     

    1. GTA SA

    2. GTA III

    3. GTA V.C

    4. GTA 4

     

    off course GTA london and GTA were classics ( I got GTA the day I bought my PS1, by pure chance)

    50 % through the single player mode

     

    I'll have to agree with some of the points made out in the " shortcomings in GTA 4 post"

     

    Instead of a capitalist environment liberty city feels more of an Utopian one, since therz nothing to use the money for.

     

    The American dream makes no sense so far bcoz therz no Rep system or anything even after half the game and killing some major gang-bangers, pulling of a bank heist gone bad and everything I'm still getting calls from Lil Jacob to peddle coke to make a few dollars while I'm earning 6000 $ + in the current levels

     

    There is a lack of choice for clothes, all Kate's concerned about is how bad I look in a suit.

     

    There are some gfx errors in the Ps3 version, not major but still their are a few.

     

    The cover system is Flawed to some extent, pressing the R1 on the PS3 controller when the player is a few steps away from a cover spot seems to fly behind the cover spot instead of sliding or sneaking. Also sometimes the player hides behind the wrong cover spot instead where u want it to be exposing u to direct firing.

     

    The AI is a much welcomed improvement and the Police are also better concerned in stopping violence, but its too easy to shake them off.

    dude yu must be toking bout no-legit games.. not the originals... are yu ???

     

    yea most his stuff is copied (PC, 360) , but ps3 games are legit, since therz no way to play back-ups on a retail model.

     

    Well ther'r only 2 Planet M's here and the game titles they stock make me puke.

    PS3 Downloadable Content Confirmed

     

    As we all know, the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto 4 will be getting exclusive downloadable content sometime after the game's release. As of now though, nothing has been announced for the PS3. Well an article in the latest version of PlayStation World Magazine states that the PS3 will indeed be getting downloadable content. This information comes straight from GTA 4's senior developer, Jeronimo Barrera. No details were given, unfortunately, but that alone is still good news.

     

    Everything after that is purely speculation. The article talks about two possible scenarios, one being that Microsoft only paid for timed exclusivity and the PS3 will eventually be getting the same thing. The other, more realistic scenario, is that the downloadable content will be in the form of PlayStation Home unlockables. Considering that almost every game from here out will have some sort of Home-integration (most being game-themed wallpapers, furniture, etc.), that does make a lot of sense.

    Well hes not exactly a distributor but he gets 0-day stuff the same day as pallika

     

    he's got a shop in 22 right across the bus stand its called " Bombay Video games" ( 1st floor btw)

    A dealer in my area says he should get the ps3 verion tomm....

    Anyways, keepin my fingers crossed

     

    If its the 5 K import, i'd rather wait till the 10th when my exams get over
