I'll wait for the special editions to be unveiled and priced(properly) before pre-ordering.
-
Who from here has already posted a comment about the PC version on that article? I posted:
"PC version, or WE RIOT"
-
There is going to be a f**king riot for the PC version. Get your weapons ready. Spam the comments with it.

The face of that model in the artwork looks like I have seen it somewhere before.
-
What do you mean by that??

What do you think he means?

Reliance haven't contacted me yet

Any updates?
BTW, back in college. And the speedtest:

Go for the OCZ Vertex4 over the latter, the Marvell MLC and controller are a class apart from the controller based offerings.
Benchruns --> SAMSUNG 840 v. OCZ Vertex4.
^^ Above benchmarks show that the SAMSUNG SSD based off their own MLC design is faster than a greased weasel in the benchmarks but the Vertex4 catches up where it is needed (4K random read / write performance), also I have no idea how reliable the former's controller and MLC are (being so new).
Hope this helps, Cheerio!
Thanks. I have around $710 in Amazon store credit. Original plan was to use 200 on SSD and rest 500 on a GPU. Now that I'm getting a GPU in April-May, don't know how much longer I can hold onto those 500 if they drop something irresistible on BF. And I guess importing a GPU without someone to take it with him defeats the whole purpose of it, as the total cost again comes real close to Indian pricing.
And my brother can always give me 200-300 bucks when needed. So it's highly likely that I'll buy something else too on BF. Maybe not PC related.

BTW, I somehow feel more comfortable with the Samsung brand for storage devices(read hard drives). Never heard of OCZ before looking for a SSD>

^Though I'm pretty sure DD-WRT should support that in any router with USB.
-
^^ I think all routers with a USB port on it should support that feature OR no?
If so, then why would ASUS advertise the hell out of it?
-
I'm getting either Samsung 840 series or OCZ Vertex 4 series(both new launches). Hopefully 256GB. Both are at $200 now, but should go for a $20-30 discount at BF.

The router has a very special feature called download master, it allows one to download directly to a ext storage device without keeping the pc running, try it

Oh, that I know(without that name of "download master"). Have never felt the need to try it. Why don't you look for some impressions of that feature on Google?
PS: Is that feature available in DD-WRT too?
-
What do you mean by "download master"? I haven't put it to too much load, except sharing internet among around 10 of my hostel neighbours(2 wired, rest wi-fi).
-
ASUS RT-N13U is a great router. It goes for around 3k, and supports DD-WRT very well.
-
Same customer care says that too. It's available in your area :\
And i am getting disconnected from BSNL too. Just 2days :\ more. Then won't have Internet like for few weeks :\
Edit : Also, i have a strong feeling that those guys going to say the same thing to me. " Sorry sir , not possible to have a connection at this place " :|
I heard that they once tried giving broadband in my area, but some local lafange stole the cables, right from those poles. And now they don't provide it. Bihar ka kuch nahi ho sakta.

Reliance haven't contacted me yet

You said that you'll contact them today?
-
^^ Tell Amazon to mark it as a gift, this is to further make sure that no one acts like a 'ghanta' at Customs.
Till Q2 2013 you can expect AMD HD8*** series to out, not so sure on nVidia's response. This is because nVidia yields on moving to new manufacturing nodes is miserly at best of times.
Well, Amazon doesn't ship SSDs to India, so this will be my first SnS purchase. They'll charge $10 for shipping, plus customs, if any. Will certainly be worth it imo.

@Death Stryke - Great TV. Only drawback, it does'nt play NTSC Drives unlike its competitor the Samsung 6-Series
You meant to say NTFS.
-
Oh....
I hope Reliance guys come home (or either call me) tomorrow and bring me good news that 4mbps plan is available in my city.
Me also waiting for the good news.

^^WTFISDISSHEET

Nice photoshop do bro
It can easily be true on a university/office line. As I posted a screeshot on last page, I got 57.2 mbps on ACTUAL download from Rapidshare on Firefox, from the college net.

XMP routines between Sandy-Bridge and Ivy-Bridge.
So there is no way around this, except buying both Sandy bridge-based, or ivy bridge-based CPU/motherboard?
-
The cpu only supports till 1333MHz
I think Sandy Bridge CPUs officially only supported 1333 MHz, but could run 1600 MHz RAM just fine.
-
so ALPHA17 if I buy 3rd gen intel my ram is automatically down clocked to 1333 or it is because of cpu or motherboard??
Is gigabyte good never used it always used intel stuffs!!!
That RAM downclocking doesn't happen AFAIK. Where did you get that info?
-
That Gigabyte mobo is cheaper than the comparable Intel mobo.
