    Thinking if I revert to patch 1.3 if it would solve my problem.

    The EXP Bug ist present since the release. I've started over (completely new game) last weekend with the unlock Patch 1.02 (PC - GOG - Version).

     

    Till now i didn't have a problem and have gotten EXP...

     

    Im in Novigrad and continiued the main story (Pyres of Novigrad worked fine). Now i've started the next Mainquest "Broken Flowers" (Questlevel is 11 - i am at the beginning level 13) and at the beginning it worked. I got 500 EXP after talking to Z. Then you should talk to 5 women. You normally get 150 EXP each, i've talked to the first one and got 150 EXP.

     

    Then i've leveled up to level 14 - and i've gotten immediately another 300 EXP again (don't know why, according to let'splays on youtube this shouldn't be the case).

     

    From this point on i didn't get any exp for talking to the 4 other women. And i didn't get the 800 EXP Bonus for completing ""Broken Flowers".

     

    This is a huge chunk of EXP you miss there... And this is only 1 Mainquest - perhaps half an hour.

     

    I have the feeling that its a problem with your current level at this point, since it worked fine till level 13. As a reminder - the questlevel is 11, so you are within this 6 level cap (for getting exp).

     

    Perhaps this helps solving this problem.

    If you are talking the Bloody Baron line, did it when I hit 11. I dislike Wraiths, intensely.

     

    If I am not wrong the recommended level for that quest is 6? Game gives zero xp for completing quest(s) that are 4-5 levels below your current level.

    I was more interested in the equipment you are using. Not the skill-tree build.

     

    Can you begin from a save where you have not taken the quest. I had failed it as a Level 4, decided to come back to it later.

     

    You can use the Merchant MOD.

     

    Oh! Wait. :giggle:

     

    Level up your Axii sign level, should help you while haggling for monster deals and other times as well.

     

    Also, just completed the Baron's quest. Absolutely zero XP gained apart from the one gained by slaying monsters. Will advise waiting till the next patch for things to be rectified

     

    Level when you did that quest?

    Unable to download DLC?

    I downloaded 2 fresh DLCs, played game for a while, then came back, and I can't load saved game. In gog galaxy configure menu i have only temerian armour and beard/haristyles dlcs. How can i fix it?

     

    edit:

     

    If you still have this problem, locate dlcs files, and install it manually, then launch game after installation is completed. Worked for me, but there's still no checkobx for any of that dlcs in gog galaxy configure menu.

    :rofl: How would I have known so early about the consequences?

    Stop picking fights at Inn. Innkeeper will stop selling gwent cards if you do. I think you should stop worrying about side quests blah blah.....do the main quest. To unlock whole Novigard you need to do that Triss Merigold mission.. AFAIK, some side quests will disappear if you do not do them immediately (you need to discover them first) and if your level is low (cons of exploring too much), you won't be able to do them. That Bloody Barron quest is like what? level 6? No use of doing it when you are level 9.

     

    Heck! I have only explored 20% of Velen (top- left side) and my next stop is Novigard.

    As for the PC version, it looks just like the console versions just with a higher resolution and a lower-form of HairWorks in effect.

     

    And how will the PC ultra compare to consoles?

     

    You will be able to find some small differences like Nvidia Hairworks for example but they are very demanding graphically so you must have a strong machine. It’s not a political thing to say but in the future you will be able to turn on Ubersampling that killed the Witcher 2 at release and now it will do the same, so we don’t want to unlock it now. The game looks better but has absurd requirements.

    Skill is 27 but crow weapon scaling is A which is highest right now, and once I get the last blood stones it will be S, which means you'll be almost invincible while dodging. Those big axe dudes don't scare me anymore :P

     

    Blade of mercy is useless in defiled chalice dungeon.

     

    My fav 4 weapons-

    1)- Burial Blade.

    2)- Holy blade (2h)/ Axe

    3)- Chikage

    5)- Blade of Mercy

     

    Left hand weapon-

    1)- Evelyn

     

    An upgraded Chikage is the best right hand weapon in the game.

    You don't need to buy the hunter chief emblem to enter the Cathedral Ward plaza.

     

    After defeating blood starved beast go back to cathedral ward and enter the door on the right. Now once you're at the healing church workshop go right and drop down the hole. Enter the building and roll your way down.(watch your step! EDIT: as "awwwww_snap" said there's also an optional door halfway down that takes you to another secret area!) Once you reach the bottom enter the door and keep going. Eventually you'll reach the inner gates of the plaza area. Now you can unlock the gate in question using the lever. I assumed this was the official path, but I've seen a lot of people not even know about this and waste there echoes on the optional hunter chief emblem key.

    Should I focus on strength/skill or vitality/endurance?

     

    Build- Military veteran- hunter's axe.

    Current level- 16

    Vitality- 13

    Endurance- 12

    Strength- 14

    Skill- 14

    Bloodtinge and Arcane- 7

    Professional or Veteran?

    Best starting weapon? Has anyone used the Saw Spear? I've heard people say how poor the Cane is for the first boss.

    Should I keep my starting weapon and level it up or buy a new weapon asap?

    Build type- Skill build.
