1 bad series, recognizes decline and retires to make way for youngsters

    Pure match winner.
    Thank You Ashwin :majesty:

Now for the other 2 to take cue.

True, But I don't think BCCI will allow them to retire anytime in the near future, till the time Indian public finds god in a new player. That's the harsh reality of Indian Cricket, People worship these players & If they retire the viewership declines hence the BCCI & Broadcasters want them to play little longer.

PS: This is my point of view :fear1:, Can be wrong too.

  2. T20 Team looks so good after Ro-Ko retirement. This is what we lacked in T20, the players who could score at 200+ SR. Now we have 3-4 match winners in the team. T20 team should always have been of fresh faces, Don't know why the management picked big names in the team. I am sure this team will win the next T20 WC in 2026 which will happen in India.

Meanwhile ODI/Test team should be different, Sky should not be included in the ODI's, Let him be the T20 Captain. Also Jaiswal should not be included in the T20 Squad, He belongs to the Test/ODI category along with Ruturaj. S.Iyer - KL can still be included in these formats as they can play well in the middle overs.

Gautam should be the first one to be shown the door in that case. We've gone from hopes of a competent showing in Australia to struggling against a far weaker team at home.

I don't think so. Rohit & Virat both have not been delivering since long in red ball format. ODI's they are fine but Tests they are not upto the mark. Look at Smith/Root/Williamson they are way ahead of Virat in test performances recently.

Draw also gives points, right ?

Also, south africa and Sri Lanka will play each other.

So, we can lose the Australia series by 1 match and still qualify ?

(Given we win next match vs new zealand and win 2 matches vs Australia)

I mean draw's will give points but won't give us a sure shot spot. 4 Wins will give us sure spot. 3 wins will have us looking at the other team results (Nz Vs Eng) & (SA vs SL)

We have been outbatted and outbowled in our in conditions and backyard.

Batting was so pathetic in the 1st innings.
Ashwin having 2 bad games in a row :wallbash:

I won't say our bowlers failed. It's more like our batting has failed in 2 out of 3 innings so far in this series. Bowling has been okay.

If we loose to australia also then i think this will be the last nail for Rohit's captaincy.

If we lose this series (Which most likely we will) & End up losing in Aus then surely Rohit & Kohli will be shown the door as we know how Gautam is. Also we need 4 wins out of 6 (2 Nz & 4 Aus) so if we lose both series then we will not get into the WTC final.

better still you only play T20I till 30-32 if you are an all format player. If you only play T20I then no age barrier, anyway everyone plays T20 as IPL.

Though 50 overs format should just be scrapped.

    :ranting: :bash:

  7. Test/ODI: Rohit, Jaiswal, Kohli, Pant, KL, Pandya, Jadeja, Ashwin, Siraj, Bumrah, Chahal, Kuldeep, Gill, S.Iyer.

T20: Abhishek Sharma, Samson, Ruturaj, I.Kishan, SKY, Rinku, Riyan, Washington, Hardik, Arshdeep, Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana, Jitesh, Tilak, Bishnoi.

Only Hardik Pandya fits in both setup. Sky should be just kept for T20. Arshdeep also only for T20. Rest these T20 players are mostly new and can be switched with newer talents if they don't step up.

  8. BCCI Should draw a line between ODI/Test Players & T20 Players. Will help with the workload management and also brings in the variety.

Gill Should not be a part of the T20 setup I feel, Also Jaiswal Should not be included in the T20 setup as he is already playing 2 formats so doesn't make any sense to have him in T20 even though his approach is truly T20 style but still. Even I feel that Bumrah should be rested for the T20 Series and only included in the T20 Wc's, He is too injury prone so it's better to let him rest in the shorter format. We have too many options now, We can afford to juggle around and manage 2 parallel teams. Should just keep the youngsters in the T20 setup.

Guess we are witnessing the end of pakistan cricket

Cant believe how bad they are.
Dont think i have seen a player as overhyped as Babar Azam

True, Losing 2 test matches to Bangladesh that too at Home is just unacceptable from a team like Pakistan.

    Retired :P

Yeh kya poochh liya bhai ... :(

Our FIFA journey ended with the last iteration of FIFA i.e. FIFA23. I thoroughly enjoyed every season of FIFA since joining the IVG, 14 years. Danny bhai @TheDribbler used to host tourneys back then. There were a couple of seasons when we had more than 50 different FIFA players in our IVG tourneys. I still have data of all FIFA tourneys [from 2010-present] and I might calculate and make an all-time table, would be interesting to to see the number of games we have played :D

We had a lot of active FIFA players between FIFA10 - FIFA13. Most guys were still teenagers  so they had plenty of time for gaming. And, then once they started working, their gaming activity was cut down drastically. Numbers started to go down after FIFA13, I was also not around for a 2-3 years after the birth of my son, not that I was breastfeeding him :P but still it was hard to find time and energy for gaming. Once he grew up and I came back, I found very few active players. And, the IVG had seen a decline in general as well. I tried my best to keep the scene active to bring people back to IVG the way I could. Nothing can survive for long without reproducing and the FIFA community didn't produce enough new players. I must say that the login issues didn't help either. :(

I started organising those prediction contests and the FPL just to give people another reason to come back (or stick) to the IVG. It's just my way of contributing towards helping the IVG grow (or sustain :fear1:). The contests/tourneys I organise here, making & updating tables, they take a lot of time, but I am happy to do it if it can help bringing even 2 people back to the IVG. I don't know many people on the IVG outside of the FIFA circle, but I love this place. I actually thought it was gone for good when it was down for 3 months. :( I hope it keeps floating...

    Here's a table from FIFA12

    FIFA12 End of Season Stats

There are some people I don't remember at all and then there are some I can never forget. No. 16 is our dear friend Rahul [laughordie] @RahulOfWar

There are some more names I found in other tables... @Stevie G @Sanwal@rad2689@Cash @Sudhir
@boltonfan Dharmin [forgot his IVG name]  @MadridistaLove@KeanoAakarsh Dalmia, Sparsh Dalmia
@india-skro@arjun_sasukeNavdeep [born to rule???] @Rosh@zeeman11@rockstarnetDanny bhai @Man In The Box@VanillaDuo@SchneideR

@VelivolusDas Sunny dude ka IVG name bhool gya :P @hope @Parvinder SinghAjay [elvj???] @SarwaanM@ash_ @Angad. Angy??  @Nemo Obaid bhai,

@zophar Rakesh [Dark Knight or something???] @dabba I can see @TAZ's name as well [I remember his name from Cricket World Cup] but I don't remember him participating in FIFA tourneys

I used to play FIFA 10-11-12 IIRC, Also played in a tournament not sure which one. :fear1: Got good beating from everyone so left Fifa for good :giggle:

    Hey Guys,

Is anyone using any Web3, crypto or Defi project for personal/business? I want to understand what bottlenecks are you facing with that particular project and what would it take to push your use-case 10x?

    @Shantz @Felix the cat @TAZ

No Bro, not using any:). I could be of some help if you can elaborate your use case or DM me.

  12.

Ruturaj, Jaiswal, Washington Sundar, Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk) , Axar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Ravi Bishnoi.

Bench: Tilak Verma, Ishan Kishan, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan

Perfect playing 11, 4 Batsmen, 1 Wk, 3 all rounder, 3 Bowlers. They should not make any changes now to the squad till the upcoming T20WC. Let's see what these youngsters will do.

  13. I feel from now on, we need 2 teams, totally separate. One for T20’s only with different coaches, support staff & players. Other ODI + Test again different coach, staff and again totally different players from t20 team. If one team goes overseas it takes 2-3 months, and you end up playing 3 t20’s, rather than that have 2 teams touring different countries that way workload can be reduced and play more format oriented games.

This team is perfect for another 2 years for odi + test. Build totally new T20 Young team and nurture them for future. We select ipl players then give them 3 matches, then bench them, how can you expect them to win you matches when they play 3 games in 6 months. we need youngsters team for T20 and play at least 20 games globally touring UK, Australia, NZ, SA each year And avoid playing SL every 6 months.
