  3. Its true that they are a good strike partnership but i still feel that Drogba is a better holder and certainly has better vision that Anelka when it comes to being an all-rounder at the top of the box.

yeah, drogba is a totally different beast. DD has it all, i mean physicality, speed, technique. Anelka has beter finishing though, hell best finishing imo.. at par with the man born offside.

  4. THE NEW BLUE BROTHERs

    Blues-682_926094a.jpg

the partnership that is Drogba and Anelka

ANELKA: When you start thinking during the game 'I won't pass it to him because I'm fed up of him scoring all the time' things quickly become complicated. In any case I never played like that.

Q What faults do you find in each other?

DROGBA: Mmm... his heading is not very good. And sometimes he can be irritating giving the impression that it's too easy. He knows he's very fast so sometimes almost stops before accelerating again and risks losing the ball as he's waiting for the opponent.

    :(

  5. without lampard n drogba even ull not as strong

    lulz..

no bro, the situation is not comparable. Agreed lampard and drogba are our 2 main pillers but we are not as dependent on them as liverpool are on nino and gerrard.

To cite the most recent example, chelsea did not concede a single goal and won all 3 matches we played w/o drogba in the CL this season. We have essien, ballack, deco (lol yeah), malouda, joey and a certain golden boot winner of last PL season apart frm the big two.

I am not mocking but just saying that liverpool have a really weak squad and that is what is keeping u guys frm making a serious challenge. I still honestly cannot understand how Robbie Keane situation was goofed up. Gerrard is a high quality player, torres is atm the best "pure" striker in the world but after that who ??

Its just something the manager has to take into consideration. but please can some one explain me how did Keane fall out with pool ?? I mean it was set up so effin' nicely. I was honestly scared for a while after thinking of nino-keane partnership with gerrard feeding them :)

  6. i dont hate man utd. i am just a bit bothered by the fact that a million fans-kids wud read that and think its right and just to go on doing such fouls over rival teams. I dont know about u all but personally i feel its a moral responsibility of the official website to keep such things in mind while approving any articles.

  7. WTF..!!! Is this for real ?? I am in complete shock of how this could be allowed to be put up on an official team's main site on the front page:

    http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...2660&page=1

Read the last paragraph on the first page.

The only good thing Mr Atkinson did was book Drogba for getting kicked in the chest by Jonny Evans. Essentially Drogba was booked just for being Drogba. And I have to say I’m all in favour of

Seriously this is totally maddening. I mean ok if its on any random footy boards but on the official website ?? shame, real shame manchester united. Drogba for all his antics never lashed out a career threatening injury to any player. sh*t.. that Irish c*nt in the making.

apparently Drogba fouled Evans leg with his chest.. right

  8. Espnstar not showing Sunderland Vs Arsenal Game on 21st..

Some beach soccer is being telecast instead..

This is the second time that they are not showing an arsenal game !!!

it will happen one more time dont worry. I read somewhere that espn star have a clause that of the matches they will show (big 4 teams) they will not give LIVE telecasts of 3 matches per season. M glad that chelsea's 3 are over and the rest will be shown LIVE for this season :console:

    EDIT lulz liverpool :P

  9.

take your call, now i see it, it really looks malicious. what was the need of evans snapping his leg at drogba's direction ??

I was wrong in saying that evans did not win the ball, sorry for that but that kick looks even more dangerous and 'intent-full' in slow-mo. and drogba got the card ?? :scratchchin:

sh*t, i am really worried about Drogba now, dont want any injury to him.

  10. the smile on Vidic's face :P

:scratchchin: last time he was at the bridge (in playing squad) he did not have teeth to show

and yeah i too am eagerly awaiting match with arsenal. If anything that will show if arsenal have really improved or its the same case as last year of making merry with small teams and failing in the big matches, hope its the same.

As for the match last night, i dunno, i mean apart from the obvious joy that i got frm seeing my team won, i dont think u can call such matches boring even from a neutrals' perspective, there is a place for both kinds of display, the silky smooth football and the rugby like over passionate stuff we saw yesterday. U cant blame us too, things were bound to get ugly after our 0-3 drubbing last time and united too with their 5 man midfield made it clear of not wanting to play "arsenal waali football".

    It was fun though.

  11. @vanilla

i understood your idea of drogba's momentum, i am just saying what ever the case is a but a boot to a players' chest is a foul which so ever way u look at it, the foot should nevr be at such a position and if it does not win the ball its a clear foul. But lets just end it here.

PS: What the f**k is up with Arsenal. :scratchchin: With the kinda football they seem to be playing i fear it is very difficult to predict which way the title might go.

one injury to either gallas/vermealeen and we are looking at Senderos. Sorry arsenal fans but u know its true.

  12. momentum shomentum.

momentum is there when u give a sliding tackle. its all up to the timing.

u miss the ball and u have done a foul.

evans did not get the ball, got drogba of what was already a dangerous play- foot at eye level-clear foul. and ref did goof up there, like other times as well. I am pointing out that incident to show that the ref was not totally favoring us, not judging Evans' intentions.

read the prev post above urs, yankee

  13. Also drogba got kicked on his chest because of momentum, not

that is seriously the most retarded thing i have read in a long a*s time.

momentum eh ?? does it justify evans kicking him ? agreed (cant be sure but to humor u) it was not evans intention, still it was a foul, dangerous play and he should have been given a red and we a penalty kick. Same logic goes when a player gives a two footed tackle and misses the ball, momentum gets the man and also the card.

As for terry-valencia and the FK, i have admitted that the ref was poor for both sides and we made the most of the 'debatable' decisions we got, we still had to put the ball in the D and then in the net.

Also, a defender leaning on a player is not equal to a man jumping and giving a kick to another players chest, i will like to see if you will give the same momentum logic when mascherano has a mr.miyagi moment and kicks rooney's ribs. I will be very upset if Drogba has suffered some damage, good thing there is an international break.

As for ur precious Rio, oh comeon.. I aint no angle. I will always  rival teams.

  14. Valencia totally raped Cole

ehhh what ?? i am sure u posted that in the heat of the moment but Valencia raped cole ??

Valencia was pants, absolute pants going forward.. cole each and every time bundled him. I think what u ment was Valencia kept cole quite in attacking which is true.

We did not play with a winger and o'shea-valencia really did not allow ashley to bomb forward and credit to them for that.

Granted the ref was helpful to us TO AN EXTENT, a few free kicks here and there but we still had to deliver the goal, it was not like a penalty or a wrong card. I am sure you saw that karate kick drogba got in chest and instead of evans getting carded, drogba got one (one of the worst ref decisions i have seen btw)- so it was not as if the ref wore blue.

The title race is gonna be very close this time and its good to see we getting some favor from the men with the whistle for a change.

My applause to man utd too as they played well, much better than expected, but at the end we had it in us to pull it through.

Also, JOHN ********ING TERRY! ONLY ONE ********ING ENGLAND CAPTAIN! YOU WATCHING RIO?!

    :)

    peace peeps :P
