    Hey Guys recently bought a Sony Bravia 32inch D-Series now im a noob at this can anyone tell me how do i fix my PC to it and will i get full screen? My PC is a standard P4 machine with onboard grafics card.

     

    Just use a normal VGA to VGA cable from your VGA port on the back of the on board graphics card to VGA port on the back of the TV.

     

    Alternatively you can use HDMI-DVI cable. I think since you have onboard graphics and P4 you will just have a normal VGA port on the back and Not a DVI port so you will need to use DVI-VGA convertor.

     

    Once you have it hooked change the display setting to 1360*768 for a 720P resolution.

     

    In case you have 1080p tv the resolution is 1920 * 1080 but that depends on your graphics card and this resoltion is attainable with HDMI-DVI cable and video card...

    You really need to play some of the other games on the DS in that case.

    Graphics.. yes.. the PSP is better. But graphics do not make a game.

     

    Anyhoo.. he was asking about the DS lite and the GBA.

     

    @Chaztin

    DS lite is better than the GBA on both counts. However if you pick up the older fat DS, you can play GBA cartridges on that as well.

    I am avoiding to gv him PSP coz he already has 2 of them ( both fat though ).

    ^^ will do ... the reason im asking for a 2nd hand card is that these damn things get outdated very quickly and i feel spending too much on them is a waste of money ....

    Ya Chaz is right that is the place for all your computer needs love there modding kits...ordering Sound Activated CCFL and Bluw LED Cabinet stands wanna make the system look a bomb....

    Dude!

    The region problem is only to do with movies and not with games on the PS3.

    Any region games can be played on the PS3

     

    but for Blu-ray , there are 3 different regions and for Movies only PAL will play on your PAL console

    Yes...no PAL dvd or PS2 will play but usually 60% of movies you buy in india are region free(All regions) and NTSC support also.

     

    So that should not be a big worry but yes when buying a movie just look at the back side of the cover and it will have it written there if it says pal dont buy it.

     

    NO PS2 game from india or PA will work until it says NTSC/UC in PA.

    Another question guys, if I burn PS2 backups on Moser Baer DVD-R's, will they work perfectly? Also, how much do Verbatims cost?

    Ya burn them on the slowest speed of your burner....

     

    Verbatims price not sure should be 15-16 bucks

    There won't be any custom duties involved only if you are in Delhi or Bangalore as a local dealer of Dell is present there. In other places you can have to pay custom duties upto Rs 6k. This is what the Dell Customer Representative told me while I was purchasing the Dell XPS Notebook.

     

    Is it i highly doubt it....Dell is doing business in India now and i dont hitnk import duties will be involved and even if they are that will be in your invoice....better to check with them though...

    That's good then. I hope any custom duties won't come into the fray? I was thinking of getting a Vaio but I think I'll definitely go for Dell, more value for money.

    I bought a monitor for them took 10 days as it came from malaysia.

     

    So best bet i think will be 10 days.

     

    go to www.dell.co.in and make your system. They will then send you a quotation and some one from sales will call you and you can get all the details :)

    Athek mate, could you sort me out a good Dell config too? My budget is max 55-60k, I need a laptop which is generally for normal use but can play games without a hitch too. Not Crysis-esque games, but games that require a good graphics card and about 1-2GB RAM.

    Hi Firewolf either you can go with the gaming rig i sorted out on top i think it is 64K around 4k over your budget.

     

    but you can maybe remove the Screen to such a high resolution and go for normal screen which will decrease the price by 3k i think.

     

    Alternatively HDD can be scaled down to 160 from 250Gb or video card can be the 128 Mb one(not recommended though)

     

    I think your best bet will be to scale down the hard drive and get the above config. :)

    Bad News: Aint impressed by Touch either busy putting apps and modding it :)

    Ya and by modding i meant more of personalizing it like changing carrier name and stuff... :)

     

    ouch....did u edit ur post ? i was talking about psp modding ! I thought u said u know someone who can do it for 500 bucks !

    Oh ya i saw that i replied to a pretty old date :D

     

    Ya i know someone who does it for 500 bucks in Blore he has modded mine and a friend...
