I don’t think we should be happy & feel relieved once this wave subsides
Not!! one!! bit!!
Not happy but relived, yes definitely.
Though need to start preparing for next wave, we are playing real time gears of war horde mode.

This thing will keep popping up, few months back we were in a better shape and UK was struggling with lockdown, now it's reversed.
The biggest gripe is that we had the use case, but we did not plan, Anyway no point hitting the dead donkey again and again. Hopefully government is ready for 3rd wave.
How do the numbers look today, yesterday were good but it was monday, today should give a better picture. Mumbai seems to be doing good.

Damn look at our B team, it's pretty much capable to play any A team
Just a little weak on pace department, but then you don't need much pace in Sri Lanka.
IPL has really helped find so much talent, and i guess some members who won't play much in A team should be moved to B team squad to make it stronger.

When I could go super easily, I didn’t want to.When I wanted to go, then there were no good offers. Then I tried seriously 6-7 yrs back to get Australian PR but I fell short on points.
India was so liveable even until this March, in 2 months things have gone to sh*t.
They will get better bro, hold tight, stay safe till then!!

You aren't alone.
For quite a while I was very bullish on India and Indian education, that's why I didn't take up my bachelor's abroad.
Also regretting not going for MS which would have made it miles easier to settle down abroad.
I will probably jump on the next opportunity I get, hopefully my employer provides an opportunity in future.
Try buying a bike or a car in singapore, and singapore is a no go for me before it even makes to the list
Ok i guess we have digressed enough, but a good change from all depressing news on the thread.
Let the depressing news roll.

Those 2 reasons alone are good enough for me. My parents are also fine going there. By 2025 hopefully corona is gone and I am out of here
I wish you and your parents a very good life
Just now, psinide said:I know what you mean. I also prefer shorter stints abroad. Life has its own perks in India apart from the support from family.
I can already see it, with a few of our customers exploring possibilities of having some portion of the workforce on-site
Big perks, even i am good with smaller stints, can't settle in that place man, an outsider is always an outsider.

Take family with you. That is my plan.
Nope, dad won't go and as i said i personally also don't want to go that much. Except cleaner air and better traffic control, nothing excites me about being abroad.

You had option to move to Canada and Singapore and you stayed here?

Ya because i still am not sure if i want to move, even if made an offer today, I would still think multiple times. The family support i have here is tremendous, and same way the way i am support for my folks. Not everyone wants to move out.
4 minutes ago, Right said:Now they will offer, but remote :|
Nope, you will have options open up soon, if you are good at what you do, they will now want you onsite more then ever then being remote. Give it a bit of time.

For the first time in the history of my life i am regretting turning down offers to move to countries like Canada, Singapore and Japan. This pandemic has just got out the worst from fellow citizens, what would government do, you can't have one policeman behind every single family in the country. People have equally failed this pandemic as much as the government.
Might as well take up the next offer when it comes around.

At present, there's only two vaccination center for 18+ at Kolkata.
Every time I look at the cowin site, both those centers are fully booked.
Can someone please link me to a telegram/email group, which would notify when new seats are available.
Also, would it be safe to visit these vaccination centers now, when the cases are at max .Or should I go after 2-3 weeks. By then the no. of cases should decrease.
Wait it out, you might somehow struggle to get first dose and if you get it, you will struggle even more for the second and he worried at same time. Not to mention the chances of contracting the virus itself is pretty high right now.

Hey guys playstation 5 is available for order on Amazon and Flipkart now, both FK and Amazon have issued an statement that we have enough stocks, so don't worry.
any connection of above to vaccine drive in India is purely coincidental.

One series I really wanted to play along with halo, which I never did. Maybe I will play halo one day as it has the complete remake edition, but this I doubt. Looks nice of what i have seen.

I think most kids will recover fine at home, as they are more resistant to respiratory illnesses. Though they will be superspreaders.
At this point don't think we can predict anything, the least this government can do now is be ready with health care. Hopefully what you say is true, and only way to stop kids from becoming super spreader is to get the vaccine ready. If kid gets it all at home will get it.
I just cancelled my Dec 2022 plans too, hopefully Dec 2023 if i am still alive.

I hope they get kids vaccine before that, and work on healthcare. Anything related to Kids can make anyone do crazy things, it will be the end of days if they are not prepared.

I would pick KL over Mayank & Ishant over Siraj. But why have they names 20 players ?!?! Isn't the squad supposed to be of 15 players..
KL will be a backup only, he is only going tp make it to 11 if players are injured.
With covid bigger squad allowed, as any new member to join need to go through quarantine and stuff to get into bubble.
1 hour ago, DinJo said:Bc we should pick Bhuvi and Deepak Chahar they are made for England pitches especially Chahar could be very difficult to deal with. Won't go for Jadeja as there would be hardly any assistance to spin would rather pull in Vihari to strengthen the batting since would probably get out in first 4 overs.
Probably the biggest test for Rohit and looking at his stance and footwork don't see him passing through this phase easily also Mayank has been really dicy after last tour of Australia might go with Gill
Jadeja in current form is better as a batsman then Vihari/KL/Mayank/Gill Combined
No way he can be dropped.
Ya Ishant over Siraj probably or Shardul maybe he can bat too.

I think Ashwin proved his worth, would be extremely unfair to drop him. This is where we miss a player like Hardik, god knows how many centuries he need to be fit. That said better to keep him fit for T20 WC, we will need him with all the slow players on top.
Pretty much the team ill also go with.
No ranji games for Bhuvi, he again got injured in IPL once already. That might be the reason.
If pitch is fast bowling friendly and has no assintance to spinners, ill play Washinton Sundar or Shardul for Ashwin.
Sundar is very handy as a batsman.
