lol thank you for mentioning this. will have to find some private time to watch now

Btw, check out Orphan Black for another show with many good female characters.
Ok, will check out. Right now I am binging on GOT..
-
Was watching Orange is the new Black but it is so bland. I got to like 6 episodes in and just gave up.
Really???
I looooove that show. Finished both the seasons. It has the best female ensemble of cast and characters ever on a TV show. Really nice. ( though second season is more bold and nsfw)

Don't feel sad,Brother!!!
This is life.....& luck is not always shining
Well even I have had a rather traumatising past one year involving someone......someone I think I loved
I won't go into the details as there is really no point.......coz words never help me
But as there are so many ppl here.....I only want to ask one thing
& see whats the general opinion/experience/suggestion about it
Is there any such thing as true love?!?
As in like two ppl having a connection......beyond explanation, social or practical boundaries
Two ppl knowing that they are walking towards a doomed fate of separation but still can't stop but walking towards it?!
Yes, Love exists. And the connection you mentioned can be felt even beyond the boundaries of romantic love. True love feels natural, effortless. Just like breathing. It just flows and it may or may not be mutual. Whereas connections are mostly mutual. They can be felt at a soul level..the feeling of eternal knowingness. Connection may lead to friendship, love or any other bond between people.
Unfortunately true love is at times confused with possession, obsession. But when you truly love someone , you surrender, you get selfless and you don't possess but protect. It's a positive emotion and mostly inspires not destruct.

Guys (and girls, ermm megz) I'll tell you what happened recently because this has me confused about female mentality. Sunny knows some bits about it but there was more to it.
About two weeks ago I went to a pub with friends, one of my friends went out for a smoke and started chatting up this girl. After 10-15 minutes or so she came in and sat down on the table with us, I started talking to her and then found out that she loves playing video games, doing cosplays and that she'll be going to comic con next year, she told me that she'll be cosplaying as an Assassin and that she's eagerly waiting for Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. Then I found out that some of her life goals were exactly the same as mine, ie. visiting Antarctica and climbing Everest on an expedition, this gave us more to talk about. Since she was pretty well travelled and lived in many countries as in she was a Ukranian who grew up in Australia and had been living in UK for past 7-8 years, she had a very interesting outlook on things. Even better I found out that she had an interest in movies, politics and economics and since I love talking about those we spoke on that as well. We spoke for well over 2 hours straight and our friends seeing how both of us were too busy to pay attention to anything else decided to let us be and left. At the end of the night we exchanged numbers, she called a taxi for me and we gave each other a big hug, she told me she'll see me around and then we left.
So far so good right? Nope Murphy's law strikes back !
I text her about 5-6 days later mentioning that it's me and I had a great time with her, and that I checked out that movie she mentioned which I found very interesting...I got absolutely no response to that. about 5 days after I sent that text (it was this Tuesday) I gave her a call which she didn't pick up either so I left a voice mail mentioning that it's Praveer and that I wanted an opinion of hers on something (the something being a silly question and an excuse for her to call me back)....and what do you know? no response !
I'm just confused as what could possibly have led to this? It's not like she was drunk, throughout the entire conversation she just had one glass of wine that I bought for her.
And I doubt it's possible for us to accidentally bump into each other as she does Law and the law department is in an entirely different area of the campus than the Science department. I'm just incredibly bummed out because I thought it was going to go extremely nice and well considering how well that evening turned out to be.
Hey Praveer,
Missed you man! Thought you are finally out of the heartbreak zone.
Anyway, first of all, really sorry to hear that you lost what looked like a 'god sent perfect match' for you. See we girls are simply complicated. And this girl as described by you seems to be a dude. May be she found you interesting to have a conversation with over free wine and that's that. Raat gayi baat gayi. If she is really that cool she will in fact won't think highly of you if you act or sound needy.
Your heart would give you hazaar reasons to believe that she is not intentionally ignoring you but if she has not replied to your text, call and voicemail..it's obvious that she does not want to keep in touch. Take it in your stride. Leave her on her own. If you do see her again, say hi and act normal.. Not needy, not complaining , not weird.. Just Normal!
Just chill!

Uff! Terrible pic. Why didn't you use better camera MT?

Bad news: So I fractured a bone near my toe and couldn't walk much for the last week and a half and still can't walk that well.
Good news: I get handicapped parking (amazing parking slots with plenty of space and nearest to the buildings) right through the end of the year and free street parking too

Get well soon buddy.

Hahaha.. Enjoying the reactions on this page.
Guys, the ideas listed there are crazy and even stupid, but marriage at times takes the fun out of your relationship. Romance is all about revisiting old memories, doing things for your loved ones that you don't do always and everyday and just acting fun and young and silly together.
Happy marriage requires a lot of work and devotion and anybody who claims otherwise is either superficial or insanely lucky. As for Karwachauth, it could be seen as a old times ritual, expecting women to be hungry and thirsty and worship her husband but for me it's just a day where you can take time out to introspect at your relationship ( works when you are hungry and want to take your mind off food) , celebrate your marriage, celebrate your womanhood , and appreciate all that your husband does for you .
Similarly , husband can surprise their spouse by doing something more than just gifting them Saree or jewelry by doing any of the things I listed up there or anything else that makes this day special and memorable.

Good News: Russel Peters is in town..
Awesome News: And hubby is taking me for his show.. Woohoo!!

Those are Instructions for MT.
No wonder MT stays away from this thread..

Alright then..
1. Give your wife a dozen roses—with a creative twist. Give eleven red roses and one white rose. Attach a note that reads: "In every bunch there’s one who stands out—and you are that one
2. Prepare a warm and fragrant bubble bath for her. She is hungry and thirsty and need some rest and pampering.
3. Kidnap her! Blindfold her. Drive her around town until she’s thoroughly lost. Then reveal your destination: Her favorite restaurant, or maybe a romantic inn.
4. Take leave from work and spend the day watching your wedding video, wedding album and cherishing the bond. You can also watch romantic movie of her choice
5. Buy a lottery ticket. Give it to your wife with a little note attached: "I hit the jackpot when I married you!"
6. Call a local radio station and request a special love song to be dedicated to your wife. Make sure she is listening!
7.Every once in a while, kiss her hand with a flourish. Note: The proper way to kiss a woman’s hand is to lower your lips to her hand. You don’t raise her hand to your lips.
8.Get the whole "family of products" in the fragrance of her favorite perfume (bath powder, soaps, cremes, candles, etc.)
9. Play the game of monopoly with a few new rules. Change boardwalk into backrub, and Tennessee into take your shirt off. Every time you pass go, you get a kiss. etc.
10. And most importantly, tell her she is beautiful. Do NOT EAT infront of her when she is fasting and even if she is grumpy and irritated , hug her, kiss her and pamper her.
Have fun!!
