    This weekend I saw 3 movies Back to Back..

     

    1. 15th Park Avenue: People who know the term schizophrenia, use it sloppily.. I have seen the patients and their loved ones and I couldn't help but get numbed by this movie. Aparna Sen's sensetivity comes out in each frame.. And the "Wow" acting of Konkona, Shabana and Waheeda ji. The film shows brutality of life, illness, gang rape, anxiety and rejection of lover, care and struggle all in a beautiful narrative. Bhutan brings it's own peace and tranquil to the film's plot. The ending, is left to the viewer ti imagine and patch. It's a movie that didn't make me cry but did leave my heart sinking for a while. I give it 8 on 10.

     

    2. Whatever Works: This film is about physicist Boris, forever telling everyone what a genius he is and believing that life is “cruel, dog-eat-dog, black chaos”.Not a great deal happens in a film which is very dialogue heavy and feels like a play, but there’s some snappy banter and funny observations. It’s not classic Woody Allen, but you are left entertained by the dimension of relationships be it 20 marries 60, or melange tua or man finding his Gay fantasies in 50 or just chance stroke of luck in love as you try commit suicide.. Basically, whatever works!!

     

    3. Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind : Most imaginative and impressively executed film through the minefields of male and female relationships. A shy guy with a pen and drawing book and a a blue-dyed boho chic who makes little distinction between her every thought and the words she speaks. Their conflict, their love, their compulsion to erase each other and their attraction to hold on. As they decide to erase each other from their memories the surreal thrills hinge on an 'am I awake or dreaming' mix up! Oh God.. it's a movie I need to watch again to understand and interpret the many hidden and missed contexts. Jim Carrey and Winslet..both with their peak performances.. The director who must have gone mad just while editing such a tough script. All in all, something that absorbs you, make you think, feel and question the the self-preserving amnesia of a broken but hopeful heart.. I give it a 9 out of 10.

    I don't get it. What's the reason you got yourself an SX4? It's being advertised all over television as a man's thing. :mellow:

    I bought my first SX4 when the car was launched in 2007. The advt. said, men are back.. I loved the way it looked, very sturdy &stud among verna n city.. so I found it very manly.

    I bought SX 4, cuz I like to drive my man wild...

    Looking forward to buy a hatchback for myself in a couple of days...So i checked out Maruti Ritz...i felt it was kind of nice...So what you guyz think is it a worth buying car....If there is any other car you want to suggest, Please you are welcome..

     

    P.S., The car which i'll be buying will be for my personal use as well as for my parents to use.We are a family of 3....Also my budget is very constricted i.e., 5 lakhs....can increase budget a bit..

    Guys, I'm looking to buy a new phone for my wife. Requirements are:

    1. Should be sturdy. It's going to endure a lot of short falls and maybe even bites (courtesy Shantz Jr.).

    2. Excellent battery life. Lots of calls through the day (Around 3-4 hours of calls). Should last at least 1.5 days with this.

    3. Should look good, support high capacity memory cards and good music quality

    4. Good camera

     

    Price no bar. Any suggestions?

     

    PS: So far, only things that have hit me are Nokia C5 and Samsung Wave 2. Are they good options?
