im using Kilpsch Synergy Sub12 650W Subwoofer nd i really dnt no wat settings i should use..? educate me pls

 

 

 

was too lazy to try multiroom. we got built in speakers in our bedrooms in the ceiling(but they suck monkey balls) some wiring work needs to be done and ill try then otherwise i shud get really long cables to connect to the other zone. its got 5.1 ch zone 2 and 2.1 ch zone 3

 

Ive searched a lot for the sub coz i really dig bass. the best thing i saw was in Jamos, but the Sub alone cost around 95k. i bought the Polk audio DSW somthing 600 , downfiring, single 12" driver if i remember. it weighs about 30 kgs. its 500W RMS continuous output ( 850 rms dynamic. many brands display the dynamic output) and guess wat it costs only Rs. 27k and its amazing. its got minimum frequency of 20 hrtz u get to appreciate low frequency bass like in lots of hip hop.

And the sub settings depend on the type of the sub. first thing u do is to give it the right placement in the room. if its down-firing(the woofer/drive is underneath) u can place it anywhere in the room. if its side-firing u need a corner or a wall(the drive faces the wall) the overall best place for any sub is a corner of the room or about 1/3 distance from the corner. keep it away from open doors. u just need to find the right plance by moving the thing around and listening and finding out on ur own. and get a gud cable. make sure u got a gud stabliser, they can blow up.

and about its setting first press the reset button on the sub. then increase the level/volume from there. dont increase the level too much. lplay a song while doing it. increase it until the bass is good without any booming sound. and in the a/v reciever settings i use +5 db setting for the sub. hope that helps. i got more info if u need

A/V Reciever - Onkyo TX-SR 875 . its 7.1 ch with 250 W per channel @ 6 ohms , thx ultra 2 certified, supports all latest stuff like dts hd dolby, true hd etc, complete HDMI upconversion from all sources, multiroom function and loads of other sh*t. it rox. my piece was like the 4 th in hyderabad

 

7.1 Speaker System - Polk Audio RTi series. ive searched for about a full month for this lol. been to all outlets in hyd and researched a lot on the net. they are the best thing u can buy in that price range. It cost about 1.2 lak. it will beat the crap out of other sh*t priced at over 5 laks. the frequency range and bass are the best. the 3-way 6-speaker Tower speakers are like 4 and 1/2 feet tall . And the subwoofer @ 20hrtz min frequency @ 600W rms kicks a*s and costs only 26 k. Im surprised at how gud they are every time i turn them on. And im not the one whos easily satisfied
