Key features for Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Rise and Fall include:
GREAT AGES: As your civilization ebbs and flows, and you reach milestone Historic Moments, you will experience Dark Ages or Golden Ages, each providing specific challenges or bonuses based on your actions in-game. Rise triumphantly from a Dark Age, and your next Golden Age will be even stronger – a Heroic Age.
LOYALTY: Cities now have individual Loyalty to your leadership – let it fall too low, and face the consequences of low yields, revolts, and the potential to lose your city to another civilization, or its own independence. But one civilization’s loss can be your gain as you inspire Loyalty among cities throughout the map and further expand your borders.
GOVERNORS: Recruit, appoint, and upgrade powerful characters with unique specialization bonuses and promotion trees to customize your cities, and reinforce Loyalty.
ENHANCED ALLIANCES: An enhanced alliances system allows players to form different types of alliances and build bonuses over time.
EMERGENCIES: When a civilization grows too powerful, other civilizations can join a pact against the threatening civilization and earn rewards, or penalties, when the Emergency ends.
TIMELINE: Review your civilization’s history at any time with the new Timeline feature, a visual journey through the Historic Moments that you encountered on your path to victory.
NEW LEADERS AND CIVS: Nine leaders and eight new civilizations are introduced. Each brings unique bonuses and gameplay, as well as a total of eight unique units, two unique buildings, four unique improvements, and two unique districts.
NEW GLOBAL CONTENT: Eight new world wonders, seven natural wonders, four new units, two new tile improvements, two new districts, fourteen new buildings, and three new resources have been added.
IMPROVED GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS: The Government system has been enhanced with new Policies and additional improvements have been made to existing systems.

Steam crossed the 17 million CCU mark yesterday (almost made it to 18!)

Finally finished it. And gotta say the break year really helped it out. The world is the true star here without a question. Everything from the geography to the clutter is both breathtaking and at the same time accentuating either the story or the theme of an area. Exploration is damn fun, just riding (or flying as senu) is both fun and rewarding as most major landmarks have a light puzzle element that lends itself really well to the pace of exploration.
Story itself is pretty decent as these things go with great performances by the major cast, but again being what it is, a Ubisoft sandbox, the pacing eventually losses steam. Its here that the side-quests pick up the slack, the new quest system (very reminiscent of Witcher 3) is for the most part executed in a proper manner with some really inventive questlines. But again the Ubi-sandbox rears its ugly head with a lot of unnecessary friction by adding quests that span multiple regions for no other reason than to pad out of the more barebones quests you will eventually come across.
Combat, while certainly a step up from the previous animation based system is mostly adequate due to the lack of immediate combat modifiers and lack of diversity within major mobs (some of the Boss fights are fun, mostly for the boss specific gimmicks rather than the challenge) and the gear system feels very forced in order to shoehorn in GaaS features. While not as offending as most AAA offerings in this regard, it still feels a bit out of place.
Taken as a whole though, this is probably one of the most enjoyable AC games since Black Flag. Even if it is not the revolution some excepted, its vast Egyptian landscape certainly inspires wonder

A grand total of ~15 crashes in just under three hours of play.
I had 3 system crashes yesterday while just tinkering in the settings menu (hadnt even gotten into the game), it stabilized after i upgraded to the latest nvidia drivers. Smooth sailing since then, but the steam overlay still refuses to open.

For some reason the steam overlay wont turn on. Performance wise its as well optimized as DOOM.

yupp, got in a couple of months ago.
