  1. Do people remember the transition from GI to IVG? There was a falling out with vinitwins and he decided to hijack the domain name. I remember there was a thread with suggestions for the new name. Wasn't a fan of IVG name back then but now I think it was the right call
  2. I do remember the April Fool's joke about IVG selling off. That was epic! And it resulted in some epic meltdowns lol I joined the 360indians back in 2006. I came across the forum while trying to find a way to buy a grey market modded 360 because it hadnt launched yet. I think the forum was created because Sam or some other guys were banned from the official Xbox forums.
  3. The old proboard forum is still up https://360indians.proboards.com/ I came across this back in 2006 when I was trying to figure out how to get a grey market modded Xbox 360 since it hadn't officially launched in India. Fun times. I remember Umang once made a thread asking KC to be banned because KC erased all of his likes
  4. Here's my first attempt at the E3 gameplay on Hard. Used Share Factory to edit the video so was able to speed up some parts. The game looks awesome in HDR but it changes the colors during video capture.
  5. Completely agree. I really didn't enjoy UC4 gameplay that much. Enemies were bullet sponges and the level design was not that great. There were only 2-3 scenarios where they tried to create wide arenas but it didn't really work with the gameplay. Stealth was clunky and the moment you went loud you would enter the run and gun loop which is not that franchise's strength. I really enjoyed TLOU1 gameplay on Survivor (which should've been the default) and on harder difficulties and the gameplay really worked with the wider level design and this game is that same experience but on steroids. I love love! how open the combat arenas are and how much freedom they give you. The combat is tense, full of consequences and a lot of fun. Add the resource management on top of it and it becomes so satisfying. I've been playing on Hard and end up killing all enemies before checking for supplies and story notes. The loop I follow is - - Prepare and craft stealth items (silencer and arrows) - Start with stealth to whittle down enemy numbers. This includes molotovs and trap mines. - Go loud with rifle/shotgun/revolver to finish off the remaining - Scavenge for supplies before moving on The level design allows for f**k ups if you get spotted. The prone and sliding through narrow gap mechanics really help with reentering stealth. But this also means that it takes a lot of time to progress through the game. Have played 20 hours or so and have only reached end of Seattle Day 2. But I'm loving it! I understand ND wanting the game to be accessible, but they're doing a disservice to their gameplay by not recommending that people try the harder difficulties first. I felt the same way about TLOU1. If you're not liking the story and are playing on an easier difficulty, I can imagine that this game would be a chore to play.
  6. Wait till you get to Seattle. It surpasses RDR2. The foliage and lighting is glorious, especially in HDR

    Half-Life: Alyx

Yes. Build is complete. Got the Oculus Quest and been playing Alyx for the last week or so. It's so awesome to be back in the Half Life universe. The amount of interactivity in the game is insane. Really enjoying it. Also, the story is quite interesting and it seems to directly tie back to the events of HL2 and the episodes.
  9. One of the friends has an iMac. So PS4 was the common platform. We tried GeForce Now but it was not a great experience. Stadia is surprisingly streamlined. I think the tech works and is well designed. They need to rethink the business model though.
  10. It's quite decent. My friends and I shifted to playing Destiny 2 from PS4 to Stadia. Because the load times are almost non-existent and there is no perceptible lag

    Half-Life: Alyx

PC components are around $800. Quest for $399. Already had a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Yes. Index is quite expensive and also completely out of stock. Also, the PC requirements for the index are higher because of the higher refresh rate. So to get the most out of the index you need to spend more on the PC as well. The choice was between Quest and Rift S. Went for the Quest because the experience with Oculus link is very similar to the Rift S and you have a whole bunch of other benefits with it being wireless.

    Half-Life: Alyx

Building a PC for the first time in almost 20 years to play this. Waiting on the graphics card and the Oculus Quest. Should have the GPU in a couple of days but the Quest doesn't ship until April 24th. So now I wait..
  13. 4k 60fps on PC 4k 30fps on Stadia Pro 1080p 30fps on Stadia free
  14. What a great movie. Pity it's only 3 min long.
  15. Guys asking Dhoni to hit need to chill. If he's gone we 100% lose this. Let him keep the wicket on the other end and allow Jadeja to win this for us
  16. You're assuming Sony would want to have it part of PS Plus. Why would they want to give exposure to a game that might entice their own customers to move away from their platform in the future?

    Days Gone

The game has mediocre written all over it. The gameplay, the graphics, the characters, the dialogue.. everything seems B grade. Can't believe this is a first party title. Sony has had an awesome streak of first party releases. I think this game will end it.
  18. This game is meant to be played on the hardest difficulty without the detective vision thing. I really enjoyed gun play, the melee, the whole hide and seek aspect of the gameplay with very limited ammo. I'm sure that's how the game was initially designed and meant to be played but they copped out in the end and added the easy mode with detective vision.
  19. The only thing I liked in the trailer was the music. R* used to be the masters of trailers. I think they've missed a step with the last two trailers. GTA 5 released 5 years ago and there definitely has been an open world fatigue since then. This game can't just rely on a good story. There need to be new gameplay elements to keep the game fresh. And they haven't shown any of them. It'll be a disappointing game if they simply use the open world model of the first RDR with a new story and better graphics.

    God of War

Switch off the threat indicators and listen to Atreus warn you about where the attacks are coming from. I switched off the HUD completely a third of the way through the game and my combat improved so much. You're forced to pay attention to Atreus and enemy placements. I'm so much more aware of where the enemies are and where the attacks are coming from. For the spoilered enemies, you should take care of with ranged axe attacks and Atreus. Create space from the more slower enemies and take down these pesky ones first. Atreus will warn you if someone is about to attack you from off screen. Also, the game looks so good without any HUD elements, no Kratos or enemy health bars, no noisy threat indicators. Been playing on hard and really enjoying the combat.
  21. Ya. Not sure why people are thinking it's Marston
