Me. Not looking for Pixel anymore.

Most probably S22+. Ultra might be too expensive and overkill.

If the base and Plus version also ends up being this expensive then will probably just get a mid-range phone to sail through.

No point in paying this much money.

I gave up on Pixel phones when Google did the same to India. I have a couple of friends who imported the Pixel 6 Pro. Comparing that with my S21U, the fingerprint sensor sticks out like a sore thumb. The camera quality is comparable, we went on a trip recently and Pixels 9/10 times had good 1st time pics while mine had 8/10. The 'Single Take' feature can have some interesting results sometimes.

I'm looking to upgrade to the S22U as Samsung have a decent exchange plan and I get an annual handset reimbursement from my org :D

    "rather than competing for consumers..."

Sony always had a lead on MS Gaming on market share. The only one squirming for subs are MS, Uncle Biden is not talking about Sony :roflroll:

MS did go ahead briefly during the 360 era. Since then MS has been blundering up until Game Pass. Their approach now seems to be platform agnostic and subscription focus. All these acquisitions keep adding value for the GPU subscribers and will help bring in more subscribers.

Sony's version of gamepass, if it does come out, will have a gargantuan task of beating GPU. They will need to focus on non-MS owned IPs/franchises to be added to the library on a monthly basis. That leaves what - EA, Take2, Ubi, Konami, Capcom, Square Enix amongst the notable ones left. Out of these, only Capcom, Konami & Square Enix seem likely to release titles on Sony's 'gamepass'. EA/Ubi/Take2 make enough money through their games, and to get their releases on a subscription, Sony will have to pay an arm and a leg. There are ofcourse, Sony 1st party games, but these are not annualized garbage (and I'm thankful for it). Sony's 1st party studios take their time and release some quality games. I'm concerned that this quality might get affected due to the pressure of having a decent game released at least each quarter.

On the matter of anti-trust, I'm actually surprised the Acti deal was not flagged. I'm sure MS's army of lawyers will have run through all scenarios and they have made the announcement after they were absolutely sure about it going through.

It took just two months to go from Phil Spencer being "disturbed and deeply troubled" by a report about Bobby Kotick's Activision Blizzard to Microsoft's CEO praising Kotick's leadership and "commitment to real change."

Hence the acquisition does seem "random".

Thanks, I had forgotten that point in my list:

    • Activision workplace culture

I don't why its difficult to differentiate between a business deal and a press release about toxic workplace culture? Also, the payout that KotDick will get will have been in his contract as an exit clause, just in case you plan to bring up the payout he'll get as part of of his expected exit as another 'bad' thing in this deal

that's cool and all, the games are amazing.... but, do you have a PS5 and did you play those games? :)

    Lol....

And calling Activision Blizzard & Bethesda 'random' acquisitions...

I mean I knew there will be some beautiful nuggets in this thread on how these acquisitions will be bad. So far we've had:

    • Xbox has no games
    • Xbox has monopoly
    • Xbox is killing AAA games
    • MS has killed gaming consoles

    Talk about grasping at straws....

Bro, you talk like it is not revenue loss for Activision/Xbox if they remove those games. I bet majority of the revenue COD is getting is also from PS.  It is not as easy as turning COD exclusive then wait for the millions of PS players to just buy the xbox for the same.

Yes, don't think they would make these well established franchises exclusives. The annualized cash cows will continue to be multi-plat, but will be day-1 GPU titles imo.

Finally.. Use them with Xbox too all the buttons works perfectly they don't work on PS5 that well.. there is an App on the PC which you can use to tweak the equalizer to your liking...

Install Steelseries engine on your pc

Connect the dongle to the pc and turn on the headset power

    Tweak settings as needed

Sweet! Do the equalizer settings work in USB/PS5 mode as well?

What a move by Borosil twins over the last few days!

Only if I was able to successfully scale these positions.

    @Bird Bird Bird

I know!! I missed out on pyramiding them as well... Added some in Bajajfinance in the last dip and have been dipping my toes in derivatives with a few Index calls. Booked saome profit during the fluctuations.

  8. They aren't (at least not at launch):

  9. I'm not too keen on all of the changes made so far. Below points are not spoilers as such, but some comments on the differences between the book & the show till only episode 3, but marked them as spoilers for anyone who wants to steer clear of book info completely.

    Spoiler

Moiraine's entry into the Inn was very clumsy, to me it did not have that build up like the book. And the whole opening scene with the Red Ajah was unnecessary. Padan Fain was spot on.

Fridging Perrin's wife makes sense in way, but I hope they don't use only this plot point for his character development.

I'm loving Matts development since its quite slow in the books. Too bad Barney Harris left the show, he's by far my favorite cast member

The whole Tinkerers "do you know the song" scene was very clunky, but they are portrayed well overall.

Liked Thom's introduction, and he's my 2nd favorite cast member. The gangs encounter to dark friends was also well handled.

Over all positive outlook towards the 1st 3 episodes
