    Damn. It's funny how new controllers dropped the same day when some members were contemplating how to keep their white dual sense clean. I somehow feel a black ps5 unit is just around the corner as well. Maybe a special edition.

    Another crucial connecting lore, thrown in like a crumb literally (on a note on a table)- Mother Miranda was a mentor to Oswald Spencer. Yikes! Also Spencer was inspired by the design of the ruins for the umbrella logo.

    Anyone infected with the t-virus is a superhero in the RE verse. Example- Albert Wesker. Maybe they'll actually take the series forward now. Umbrella Corp needs a proper comeback. No further spin offs pls.

    Thing that baffles me- they have completely ditched the lore built over 20+ years just to make a spin-off. Only Chris redfield was the connecting link. If they replaced him with let's say captain price, this could have been deemed as a COD zombies game.

    Back to mainstream re pls. Want Leon Kennedy back. Ps- I'm still wondering where/how/why did magic come in a series that's based on hardcore science fiction. Tbh the last section actually felt like RE game. Few sections felt as if developers are trying hard to channel their inner Kojimas (silent hill/pt vibes).

    Capcom baited us all. Looks like lady d is just another cog in the wheel. Not even close to Nemesis or Mr X.

    Maybe that's the reason later shooters started supporting the move controller.

    First person is fine, as long as they balance out those claustrophobic areas. Imo, they are relying a bit too much on claustrophobia to scare the player. If you look at the history of resident evil, you'll realise how different it is (now) from the original idea. I believe japanese games should have some amount of stylized button mashing action as well. Which 4 had in plenty. Capcom has / is removing it completely now.

    Comparing this with/to RE4 is akin to comparing apples with oranges. RE4 , imho, is the best game in the entire series. The set pieces, story, presentation, feel, characters, style, action etc has not been replicated after that. Maybe RE2 remake is the next best thing. I think capcom should go back to the tps view. I somehow feel re series doesn't go well with the fps view. Capcom is trying hard to change from action/survival horror to a pure fps horror genre, which I don't think suits this series. Stick to the basics. Give us stylised action sequences that japanese developers have a forte in. Though reviews have been good so far, personally, I felt the world to be too clunky and monotonous for an fps experience.
