Looks like everyone's trying real hard to get excited for Half-finites season 2.
Game is still so bare bones.
Cant believe they just added 2 maps, some skins, and one mode in 6 months.

When MS purchased LinkedIn for 26 Billion$ it was considered a huge risk . But within 4 years active members on platform grew by 50% . And revenue has tripled in 5 years - crossing 10 Billion dollars last year .
Results of these acquisitions takes years to fall in place . You can't judge them so quickly .
Of course we can also talk about Nokia acquisition being a failure . So it can go both ways . But again too early to call any of MS big acquisitions as a failure/Bleeding money .
LinkedIn cannot be compared with acquisition of actual game studios, where you need to spend millions to develop a single title, to be given away as langar.

Once they acquire more studios, and actually spend money to develop real games, GP would become costlier.
This model is not sustainable in the longer run. ..they should focus on games if they want to compete

They did some bad stuff in 2014-15 but ever since that, they've been taking the right steps every time.
People are buying their hardware and their services only coz they see a good value and a future in it. There is hardly any FOMO in console buyers... people do their research well.

Regarding subscribers, they have not hit the targets they wanted to in 2021.
The reason they are literally giving sub away for free with candies and chips.

It was Playstation that started a catalogue esque gaming subscription service & cloud streaming (PSnow)
Apart from improving the quality of games & giving it on launch at dirt cheap prices….Spender has no innovation under his belt.
They literally invented / brought fps on consoles with dual analog sticks
