    Do not use DarkD3. Jay Wilson said it's a potentially ban deserving offense as is anything that modifies the game's graphics.

    I really dig how DarkD3 sharpens the game though, wish nVidia hadn't gotten rid of the 'Image Sharpening' feature from their GPUs.

    It looked bad in most games and shooters, but it made top-down view games look spectacular. I used to play War3 with the slider set to 33% and it really made everything pop out.

    Besides that is a terrible argument against postprocessors. It doesn't modify the "game graphics". It only modifies your video card buffer. In the same note, changing brightness settings on your monitor would be a bannable offense. Forcing AA using video card panel would be a bannable offense. Capturing screenshots or gameplay video would be bannable lol.

    Armor rating above 560 is mostly pointless. 560 gives you 5x durability which is the cap for armor rating. In endgame even some cheap leather armor can be fully upgraded to reach over 560, so essentially most armor is for show :P

    removed fxaa injector and installed ENB advanced lighting. Not seeing too much of difference between the mod and the normal version of the game, don't know if its not turned on :scratchchin: Followed all the steps mentioned in the readme file !

     

    If it is active, you'll see some info about it on the top left of the screen when Skyrim starts(Like how you'd see the fps with fraps). A couple of lines like "ENB v1.02 Tatsudoshi....". If it doesn't appear then something's wrong. Open your launcher (SkyrimLauncher.exe) and make sure the options->Graphics Adapter is set to ENB.

    And if you're using the ENB mod that I posted above, you can toggle it on and off ingame using SHIFT+F12.

    4. Enhanced night.

     

    I went ahead for the mods, mostly because i found this tool called mod manager lite, which ensures the original is not overwritten. BTW, has anybody tried 4GB skyrim mod ? Is it stable ? Looks like its removed from skyrim nexus site !

     

    It's not needed with patches 1.2+.

    And about post-process injectors, I'd recommend not using them. Their results are not always the same, and they also screw up the UI. Instead try ENB mods. Not only do they play nice with the UI, you can also adjust color grading by editing the text files. You can change them at runtime too.

    controller aiming will snap to target. it will be a non issue.

     

    If this is a real Diablo game, then there will be a bazillion enemies on screen at any time in combat. Snap to won't work there. Not to mention many spells are not targeted at enemies. Like D2's assassin traps, necro bonespells, sorc aoe, etc. I really doubt they'll remove all such spells just to make room for consoles.

     

    If it ever comes on a console, it will be a vastly different(& inferior)experience from PC.

    It'll be really hard to aim some spells with a controller. Unless the game slows down or pauses when you are aiming. Which completely breaks the flow of combat. I don't think it'll come to consoles. If it does, it'll suck.

    Almost maxed out my gear. Just need to figure out what to enchant on my weapons and helmet :scratchchin:

    All this is without exploiting any bugs. Daedric Katanas are mod weapons, but their base damage is actually 1 less than Daedric swords to compensate for the awesomeness.

    I have one-handed at 100, and used the Elemental Fury shout. It looks like I'm watching a video at 100x speed. At lvl 30, using silver swords(exquisite, no enchants, no damage bonus from any armor enchants/spells either).I just go stand next to an enemy and keep both my mouse buttons pressed. Blood dragons last all of 3 seconds. :roflroll:

     

    Which companion do you guys like? Been using the Solitude housecarl, Jordis or something. Useless damage, mostly useful as a mule for my dragon bones and scales. I was checking wikis, and it seems statistically the best one is actually the khajiit in mage college, J'zargo. He's the only one who levels past 50, all the way to 81. He can wear heavy armor , but won't use weapons or shields. He uses mostly shock spells. When he runs out of magicka he starts pummeling with his bare fists regardless of what weapon or shield he has in his inventory.

    i usually don't take any one along with me cause

    when playing Warrior - support will just come in way..

    when playing Sneak assassin - support will just break the stealth when close to the enemy..

    I heard Dark Brotherhood initiates have very high sneak skills as well. Try them sometime.

    can i roll back to old graphics settings, if my game is not running smooth ?

     

    Skyrimnexus.com has a tool called Nexus Mod Manager(NMM). On their site when you want a mod click on "download with manager". You can then activate and deactivate mods as you wish in NMM.

     

    However the ENB mod has to be manually installed (it just involves copying a few files into your skyrim directory). This is probably the one that will reduce fps the most. When you're using it the "Target Renderer" option in SkyrimLauncher.exe will say "ENB". Change if back to default to disable it. You can also press shift+F12 ingame to toggle it.

    My specs:

    2.8GHz triple core AMD

    4gb ddr2

    ATi HD4870 1gb ddr5

     

    I play at 1024/768 resolution, since I'm still stuck with a 17" crt <_<

     

    FXAA is much more efficient than normal AA, but it results in quite a bit of blurring. AA causes no blurring, but very hardware intensive. The problem here isn't that my system can't handle AA, rather AA and SSAO cause weird problems when they run together on this engine, but FXAA plays nice with SSAO.

     

    I'll try to make a video... you can judge for yourselves if it's worth it. IMO it's completely worth it.

    Well i haven't had any problems so far. No CTDs or anything. The only "problem" was enabling AA dumps my fps to 1 or 2. But that's a common problem when SSAO is also on(that ENB mod does that). Disabled AA, enabled FXAA instead, and everything has been fine so far.

    All mods except Lightning face are from skyrimnexus.com. I'll give the names you search for them.

    Main graphic mods:

    SkyrimHD 2k texture pack

    Enhanced Night

    Realistic Water Textures

    and the most important: ENB HD6 Lighting enhancement.

     

    Content mods:

    SkyUI (proper UI for pc version)

    Weapons of the Third Era (includes kickass katanas along with beautiful sayas, seen in last 2 pics)

    Triss armor retextured (Yup. Triss' armor from Witcher 2)

     

     

    As for Lightning face mod, its not available in nexus since Squeenix hasn't given permission yet (CDP gave for Triss armor):

    If your aim is to get the highest damage per second, simply get the perks in Smithing, Enchanting, Alchemy, and a weapon tree of your choice. Dual wield recommended. Bonuses from all these stack, so you can craft a ridiculous weapon (made even more ridiculous if you consume some ridiculous alchemy potions before crafting) with ridiculous base damage. Then enchant it with ridiculous effects. Same for armors. People have breached 5k dps with these.
