English Vinglish getting great reviews from Indian critics as well after 2500 ppl gave standing ovation a while back at TIFF.

 

Seems like another good weekend at the movies.. and bollywood progressing. Barfi, OMG, English Vinglish.. 3 great films week after week now.. overall more than dozen good films this year which is a good sign.

Probably the best Dexter premiere. Though the airport scene felt forced and Dexter kills are getting quicker and sloppier. Anyway this season seem more Debra-centric and finally faith restored in Dexter, everyone's favorite serial killer is back to his old self. Wow okay that probably sounded more sane in my head.

If you look at CHALLA promo without music n Rabbi's voice objectively & in context, you will just see see a creepy middle aged man miserably trying to pretend to strum the guitar & be a Rockstar.

Sorry just saw your edited post. And no its not nitpicking.. see the promo again when guitar actually plays in the song SRK jumps and dances, but when it doesn't he furiously strums it. Man, that's just lame... I think the music by Rahman deserved a better choreography for the sequence.

 

And anyway, those last few seconds of alaap by Rabbi makes for all the mistakes.. goosebumps. can't get enough.

And did anyone figure out the story? Even remotely? I mean SRK is in army, a singer(roadside?) in london, car washer and a waiter too.. looks like Yash Chopra actually shot the movie without a script..

 

 

 

 

Or is it some period movie?? Memory loss maybe.. Some nuances of SRK from promos do remind me of Charlie of LOST. Lets wait n see.. If its just not some musical rom-com but has a thriller side too, it will be nice for a change.. from yash chopra.
