    i m going to get a pc within this week

     

    i surveyed whole of chandigarh today and i am bloody messed up

     

    the only question that remain in my mind are about PROcessor and MOBO

     

    basic moto gaming

     

    CORE 2 QUAD q8200 - Rs 8600

    CORE 2 QUAD q9550 - Rs 13000

     

    AMD PHENOM X2 550 - Rs 5700

     

    MOBO (for intel dealer told me to go for MSI P45 {dont rem. model number i was around 7.5k with Heat pipes})

     

    for amd he told me ASUS M3a78 - 5K

     

    GRAPHIC CARD

     

    SAPPHIRE 4890 (Rs 13500) vs MSI OC edition - Rs 15500

    depends if you can live withouot the 360 exclusives, gears 2 and halo 3 being prominent, then PC should do just fine.

     

    Plus you should be ready to wait a bit for the new releases.

     

    no problems as i am not a pro gamer . not a halo series fan

     

    SMPS requirement for 4870???

    5500 incl shipping @ lynx store chadigarh

     

    gr8 proccy..... giving e8400 and x3 720 a run for their money... @ 3.1GHz and 6mb cache + phenom II architecture+ unlockable 4cores ( not all are unlockable)+ stable 3.9ghz on stock u can never go wrong... this is what i call bang for buck .. with a 5k 770 chipset and a 9800gt 1gb (7.7k) u can make a very capable pcat rlly low price

     

    thanx yesh , ithink i will buy this proc . i am going for hd 4870 . do u think after this i will need a xbox 360 for gaming

    Also if you like reading mags , try reading a Computer Tech Magazine called CHIP , its only 100 buck p.m. , its really good , you learn a lot and it also gives current prices of various PC components as well as somewhat guides in making a PC for low , mid and high end pc's , as well reviews of latest gizmos and nice articles on tech and gaming.

     

    I used to read CHIP from 05 to 07 regularly , it helped me lot to learn about PC , as earlier I didn't knew a thing about hardware, it taught me how to assemble a pc myself , my current PC I assembled myself after buying PC components from Nehru Place , all thanks to CHIP. :P

     

    Its really a good mag to learn , try it if have some time. :cheers:
