Dude, I said there are a lot of reasons for women to be under represented including conscious choice, societal factors etc. You need to realize that women were encouraged to not even enter the job market 50 years back. The paradox warns about drawing statistical inferences, but the issue here is a lot more complicated. The paygap is an outcome of having treated women as outsiders or second class citizens for a major part of the history. You need to account for that before assuming its just the paradox.

I work at a similar firm that takes conscious decision to be more inclusive. It's great that your employer is doing the same. My point was that we cannot generalize our personal experience and assume all sectors operate this way. That's pretty much what I was trying to get to especially since data suggests otherwise. If we were to check the list of richest folks in the world/CEOs of fortune 500 companies, we will know the reality. It's difficult for the current generation that we have grown up in to even imagine that women had to fight for their right to work/vote all but 50-60 years back in even the so called developed nations.

We are probably oblivious to this being men, as it never even occurs to us. I did my bachelors from one of the tier 1 institutes and we had a boy/girl ratio of 10:1 and my stream was one of the better ones. In the team of 10 odd engineers I lead in my company, there is but a single woman. With such low representation, it would not be surprising if they are paid lower than their peers.

It is not a US only thing. It is prevalent everywhere and is probably not getting flagged enough in India because the percentage of women in high paying salaried jobs such as IT (my domain) is still extremely low.

The certification has three levels iirc. - Verified: games that work great and have been officially tested will have verified badge. When you search or load steam on deck, only these games will show up. -Playable: games that require some custom optimizations like tweaking controller settings etc will have a yellow badge. Dated games don't matter only if your console can't play them. You'll be surprisrd at the sheer number of games that don't need remaster or remakes on PC just cos you can mod the crap out of them to make them look modern. The entire remaster/remake argument purely exist in context of consoles. They tend to get released on PC, cos why not? You can always milk a cash cow. Some publishers just tend to offer free upgrades to PC cos they know that charging full price again for a pure visual/fps boost wont fly with the PC crowd.

Consoles suck balls as afar as real time strategy games are concerned. And remember backwards compat? I can play games ranging all the way back to 80s to the latest games and even play PS games from previous generations that PS4/PS5 can't. You should seriously stick to the PS vs Xbox thread. Flawed argument. PC is way better than consoles for anyone who is purely into MP gaming as well. Sure, PS has a lot of great quality single player games, but if you don't care about them, PC is def better any day. Choose high res or high fps depending on what you want. And not having to play for MP is a boon. Not to mention regional pricing assuming you are okay with the upfront investment.

That's a lot for emergency funds in liquid cash man. I agree to your point about FD, but honestly, my cards give me a limit of 10-12L each. Having another 15L on top of it sounds overkill considering i can swipe the cards. I mean, I am still a salaried guy. Makes sense for me to think about my retirement and invest instead.

Both PS5 and Series X cannot lock to 60fps, with drops into the low 50s and even the high 40s during combat and other alpha-heavy moments. Series X seems to have fewer drops than PS5, but it's surprising to see these issues at all when resolution has been cut back so dramatically. *Eating popcorn*
