I personally don't think the game's visuals have aged very well. Really liking the more cartoony overhaul they've gone for in the remaster. It does a damn good job in making you forget that these games are well over 20 years old.

Some folks here are dead against anything Gamepass. It was targeted at them. I agree that it depends on the game. For a lot of niche games or new IPs, gamepass can easily help them become popular. Kinda like what Netflix did with picking up dropped but critically acclaimed series or even bankrolling/supporting varied content. If you are gonna put your established IP on gamepass day 1, then it is likely that MS is paying shitloads of money. But I don't see anything wrong in it. I am fine with Gamepass existing as long as I still have the choice to buy what I want.

Dude, I am a developer. I know the importance of bandwidth. Everything you are going to see on the screen comes off your RAM. However fast your SSD is, it is going to take a few seconds (2 sec for PS5) to fill up. As you play the game, the SSD will swap and replace artifacts from RAM as you progress. This is generally very small unless you load into a completely new area. Replace too much and you start seeing minor stutters however fast your SSD is (happens even in RnC). You are not going to see games where everything immediately transforms every second just for the sake of utilizing bandwidth. For most games, a regular Gen4 SSD speed is sufficient. You can't change too many things at the same time in a game without breaking immersion. For all the load time benefit it offers, I still haven't seen a single game (including RnC) where it has made me feel like the difference was earth shattering.

Dude, are you running a data center where data-copy speed is more important when compared to playing games? I just platinumed RnC and that's one of the games that uses the instant loading very effectively. Do you know what I loved about the game? The characters, and the gameplay more than instant transmission across world gimmicks. At the end of the day, none of the sh*t you talk about matters. Nintendo is still kicking a*s with games like Metroid - Dread that's based out of a cartridge on a system that's even slower than the OG XBone. Sony makes better games and that's what matters. MS is getting better and until it proves itself with great games from it's acquired studios, people will continue to doubt it. Be a fanboy. But atleast be a fanboy for the right reasons

M1 looks super promising. But Mac isnt going to make a dent in the laptop market. Not yet anyway. Windows needs to run on an ARM chip equivalent to M1 for Intel/AMD to start sweating. Mac is still very niche in comparison to the volume of Windows based Intel laptops sold (across diff price segments)

Set a custom resolution on your PC and connect to the TV if your GPU cannot handle 4k. You will absolutely love it. The HDR on your PS4 will also look amazing. The TV does a good job with upscaling even 1080p.

I like XSX UI better than PS5. PS5 can't even freaking group things together :/ 1S/1X were super slow, but with XSX things are much faster and more intuitive. There's a sense of familiarity IMO

For a firm that has cutting edge technology in the software domain, it's surprising that they haven't implemented a basic workflow that checks even the weight of items being returned/shipped.
