    Ryzen 2700X is not a great CPU for benchmarking. Ryzen 3 series has better IPC and using a 3600 would have been better. It is very well known than using a Ryzen 3 series offers better performance by a few fps even when when under regular stress.

     

    While I agree with PS5 punching above it's weight and is a great value prop, I honestly don't think his comparison is valid. What is the MHz on his RAM? If he's using 2700Mhz or so, expect 5fps diff easily when compared to 3200 or higher. That's why it's purely subjective. I can build a crappy PC with a 3060 and still say a PS5 performs better.

     

    I would honestly wait for a DF verdict. They may nitpick, but those guys know how to really use comparable hardware for benchmarks.

    Also, what about the quality settings? Are they in line with the PS5 default too? 

    I am not nitpicking, but the fact is that 2070/2070S will likely offer better performance if the game is optimized for PC rather well. Want to better understand how he came to the conclusion that PS5 performs better.

    Long story. Here it goes.

     

    Preordered the first batch. Drove to the SC 20km away from my place and told stock hadnt arrived on launch day. Got a call the next day asking me to collect it. Drove back and was asked to return after 30 mins since the manager was busy and when I did return, was told that all stocks were gone. And that Sony support will contact me again with details about when the next lot would arrive. They refused to share details about how my preorder simply vanished or even show the allocation list and whom it was sold to.

     

    This was for a freaking online preorder. Got info from another buyer with the same predicament that the assholes were selling the PS5 for 65k a pop under the table. I escalated the issue to head of Sony India, our favourite Indian video game journalist wrote a small piece regarding this issue. Finally Sony support wrote back and assigned a different showroom to collect it from. Heard that Sony started an audit of the consoles after similar issues were reported across.

    I really liked HZD's main story. The world was okay okay and I found the characters barring a few to be extremely lacking, but the narrative was superb. As well as the enemy design. 

    I for one am super excited for FW.

    Agree with you. I prefer replaceable batteries, but MS refusing to bundle a pair of rechargables is a scam.

     

    Like 8bitdo has a removable battery pack that can be charged. You can remove it and swap it with a pair of AAs.

    I wouldn't recommend playing too close to the FW launch. The combat might feel samey and you might get bored when you switch over to FW. The HZD plus dlc is easily 40-50 hour long and playing another similar game for 30+ hours might be tedious if not for the story(side missions suck in the OG).

     

    Better to play now to build the excitement IMO

    Basically Bethesda is giving out the upgraded version for XSX/XSS, PS5 (and probably PC) for free. This is likely optimized native ports for these platforms. Also bundling in 3 specific pieces of content from the creation club for free.

     

    Seems like there are over 100 total pieces of content and you have to pay the upgrade fee only if you want the extra content.

     

    How is this similar to what Sony did with GoT where they locked resolution bump and haptics behind a 10$ paywall? If there are features exclusive to XSX/XSS and PS5 behind a paywall (like haptics or improved frame rate/resolution) then the argument is comparable.

    Hmm. Got it. They dont push ads on the Mi Notebook though from what I know. Even if they do, its a windows device and you can easily uninstall any preinstalled software.

     

     

    I still don't understand the anti China sentiment wrt to buying products. You effing cant buy any gadget in today's world without it being linked to China.

    Got a mi notebook for my niece. My parents wanted to gift one for her bday and chose this.

     

    Ticks all the right boxes. Relatively light weight, solid build, looks very nice with an anodized aluminum/metal finish. Do check it out.

    I meant I didn't have to install any external software/application/tool for my Mac to detect the Bose. Most of the times, the driver comes bundled with these connect applications if the native OS doesn't support it.

    Bose works right out of the box. Doesn't require the Bose Connect software to be installed on the Mac.

    UI crisp enough, you can clearly navigate and see everything clearly. 

     

    Fact MS focuses on these stupid stuff over improving Upload studios and record sharing functionality of Xbox consoles pisses me off. PS generation ahead when it comes to recording and sharing functionality but MS still same old garbage system with limited recording capabilities. 

     

    And they also not improving achievements system. Fact there's no special tag or recognition for getting 100% achievements is really stupid. No one asked for UI resolution. 

     

    Depends on who is using it man. Personally I like the 4k resolution, whereas you may not even bother. And I don't really care much about achievements or sharing at all. So, to each his own.

    And with quick resume, 4k even more useless. I don't even check wallpaper on my pc anymore. I login and start game. 

     

    It's not stupid. It just makes the UI a lot more crisp and gives it a lot more "next gen" feeling to it especially if you are gaming on a 4k screen. And as multiple people pointed out, it's not going to take a significant hit on the resources as the screen is no longer rendered when you are in game.
