  1. I am not bitching man Was curious if there's a panel that supported 4k 120fps DV cos I knew that CX had no major upgrades when compared to the C9 and LG is probably the only manufacturer that's even enabled HDMI 2.1 on all ports.
  2. Hyderabad is under lockdown but ecommerce deliveries are happening normally. So I guess, it's up to the states to decide what's permitted and what's not.
  3. This check seems to have been recently added in XSX after an update.
  4. Reposting comment from XSX thread: Under 4K TV details, just saw this new check in the XSX regarding 4k 120Hz with Dolby Vision enabled. It seems to be disabled for my LG C9. Anyone knows if there's any panel out there that supports this?

  6. It was already a stampede in the previous run. Things might be slightly better cos some states have imposed lockdown and Amazon/FK don't allow ordering non essentials.
  7. That girl should swipe right too isn't it? I think the search stops there.
  8. More of a remaster and not an X360 BC title. But not built from ground up for this gen. Edit: my bad. Assumed the OP was referring to X360 and not X1.
  9. That's not how it is going to work. PC is always going to be ahead of the curve and newer technologies will be developed. Kind of forward looking so that it becomes mainstream a few years down the line. By the virtue of the same principle, console developers would atleast try to implement some parts of the newer tech to understand it better. Essentially console devs will never be able to implement whatever they want cos the hardware the newer technologies are designed for would be more powerful than consoles. There is always going to be some trade-off
  10. I played Control on my 1.4L PC between 50-60fps with DLSS on. Even if I tried to run it with ray tracing and no DLSS on my 2070 super PC, I would have got around 30 fps. The point here is to keep expectations in check and compare the console specs with what an equivalent PC can deliver. The fact that consoles can even enable RT is a big thing considering that the tech is yet to be widely adopted.
  11. There's nothing stopping the devs from pursuing the route if they choose to. Games can still be 30fps with all bells and whistles and perform well. Of late, because of increasing popularity of high framerate gaming, they are giving the consumers a choice and it's bound to come with compromises. What's wrong with that?
  12. How did you come to the conclusion? The only effect/feature that brings down the current generation of consoles is ray tracing and that's something even top of the line gfx cards struggle with. Otherwise, they do perform extremely well.
  13. Missing save and quit?
  14. It's weird cos my XSX clearly says that it is 2.1 compatible. Anyway, barring a few games that I can run @ 4k 120Hz from PC, it's unlikely to find much use for now. 1440p works fine though.
  15. Samsung QLEDs have a different issue with limited HDMI 2.1 port availability. It bugs me when I have to unplug and reconnect the consoles/PC to get access to any of the HDMI 2.1 ports. Also, for some odd reason I am having difficulty getting 4k 120Hz signal to my Frame QLED from PC (and getting VRR to work as well) whereas never faced any issues with my LG OLED. The WebOs experience on LG is much better when compared to Tizen on Samsung.
  16. Variety of races, cars and the charm of the world. That's what Forza is about ? The game never clicked for me the first couple of times too. Played for a couple of hours saw the season change and got hooked
  17. Preorder from keychron.in. Go for hotswaps. You get 1 year warranty if something goes wrong
  18. I actually think it reverts to either 1080p or 900p that's supported by the base Xbox One. Don't think they actually have control over what resolution they can target here unless the base code implements dynamic resolution scaling. It makes 0 sense otherwise for them to lock it to 1080p if they have the option to scale the resolution (assuming textures are available).
  19. Agree to your point. But this is one of the enhanced titles that causes a whole lot of confusion. Digital Foundry agues for the resolution drop since the game can lurch to the 40s in certain scenes @ 4k (using the user created mod). I don't think the Gears scenario is a deliberate choice though. Basically my point is that, it is MS which is working on improving these titles and not the developers of the actual games. So, unless they tamper with the actual code, they may not be able to implement a different resolution, say 1440p @ 60fps.
  20. I have no issues with you arguing or putting forth your opinion, but I'd really appreciate if you refrain from name calling and labeling posts "nonsense". @Joe Cool - FH4 Has got nothing to do with this system level boost So you agree that it's not a port? -There is no bug & it’s just that this whole boost mode initiative has been done with One S to Series S in mind Even if that is the case, why does it bother you? I own an XSX and I have no issues with what they have done. Why are you so hellbent on arguing against a system that you have no intention to buy? Everyone on the forums here knows your stance. -They should have kept this messaging upfront instead of keeping it behind the lines Let's say that this is a marketing gimmick. Every company does that and it's nothing surprising. I understand that you hate Phil Spencer and have an issue with Xbox, but give it a rest man.
  21. How sure are you that FH4 is a port? And do you own an XSX? If not, what's the point of cribbing about something that you don't even own? As far as the lower resolution for some of the games are concerned, it's likely to be a bug/issue with the implementation. The console is powerful and MS has at least been offering more features via software updates when compared to Sony's policy of offering nothing new. Will have to wait and watch Digital Foundry's take. Edit: No one is enforcing this feature on anyone. If you don't like it, just turn it off.
  22. A good number of games that had an X1X patch and were running at 30fps have been boosted to 60fps on XSX. These games are not trading off resolution for higher frame rates. Take FH4 for instance, the old 4k 30fps mode is now running at 60fps. The games never got an X1X patch and are running on the base config with boosted fps. Example: AC Unity The games that had a 60fps mode already with good visuals are taking a hit on the resolution to scale to 120 fps. Example: Battlefield V If you went in expecting a 900p game that never got an X1X patch to run at 4k, 60fps you are going to be disappointed.
