Need that 60fps patch for horizon

I am waiting for it to fall to 2k or lesser Already have entire DS series along with Bloodborne, but have finished only DS1.

Didn't know that the game was 30fps. It makes more sense to get the digital version since it's Xbox Play Anywhere.

But honestly, the average age of folks in this forum is on the higher side with a good population of active members over 25 or even older. I am almost 30 and it's been over 8 years since I did my bachelors, so pretty sure my advise/tips would be outdated. Why not try Reddit? You'd probably have a subreddit for this where you'd be able to get relevant tips.

Generally No. But it depends. For example, if you like to game on the couch or on a large screen TV and don't have a powerful rig, then an XSX might make sense.

In an ideal world, that would make sense. MS has invested so much into the ecosystem right now that it probably wouldn't make sense for them become a software only company. People wanted Nintendo to do it and they didn't. Look at where they are now. Also, with regard to gamepass, they also have PC side of things to increase adoption. The console is sold at a loss only during the initial lifespan. This cost is recovered within a couple of years once hardware costs fall and is partly recovered via licensing for SDK. So that's not a major concern for console manufacturers.

So Nintendo Switch regular sold almost 2x that of Switch Lite this week. And Nintendo Switch Lite sold more than all the other consoles put together. Brings back memories of the discussion around Switch being DoA during the launch

On PS5/XSX or PC?

It will be insane if they launch one with tensor cores. Rendering resolution just won't matter and Nintendo can just build the model and launch a firmware upgrade before the games launch.

Not dissing on Nintendo man. I sold my Switch last year hoping for a Pro revision. Still waiting.

He's clearly mentioned that certain titles that already have been announced/have platform tie-up/deals will continue as is. Because it an obligation that Bethesda signed prior to acquisition. He obviously didn't mention what all titles, but did call out that the future is in exclusivity.

That argument may not hold true. Why would a fully owned MS studio actually launch on competing platforms knowing it would eat into their overall platform sales? That's like expecting Rare Replay to have released on Nintendo platform cos that's where majority of the fanbase played it. The whole reason MS acquired Bethesda was to build an exclusive line-up. They might as well had an exclusive deal for new IPs with Bethesda instead of buying them outright if they plan on releasing heavy-hitters on both platforms. While I won't discount the eventual launch of the games on Playstation, it's very unlikely that MS would launch on PS day 1 going forward at least. They'd probably adopt a model similar to what Sony's doing these days with their IPs by launching them on Xbox after a couple of years if at all.
