How does the spiderman remastered purchase work with the ps4 disc? Do you still need the Miles Morales disc to launch Spiderman remastered game or is it treated as standalone? This is needlessly convoluted.

I get where you are coming from. But I honestly think it makes sense to go for a Ryzen. Simple reason being that if you want to upgrade to a newer processor 2-3 years down the line, you can get a Ryzen 5xxx series for a cheap price since they'd still be relevant. Whereas with a B460, you'd not be able to make full use of an i5 leave alone an i7. By that point, I am also assuming Gen 4 SSDs and PCI-e 4 would become the norm. Not to mention higher speed memories. Going for a B450M right now means that you'll essentially have to upgrade your entire rig. But right now, I think building a PC has come down to getting what's available rather than what you want with all the price gorging and scalping.

But doesn't B460M lack support for XMP and caps RAM at 2933 Mhz? Processor wise, 10400f might be better today, but if you do want to upgrade in the future you pretty much have to change the board and CPU. Also, the A2000 is a better SSD that Crucial M2. Also why get a Bronze rated PSU for a comparable price as a gold rated one?

Do you need to play New Game + to get plat? Or is it only for 100%?

Is that a HDMI switcher at the bottom? Does it support HDMI 2.1?

This is a rough 1080p build that I put together. I am by no means an expert. There are tons of folks in the forum who may be able to give better suggestions but I think this should honestly be fine. All of these are online prices (mostly from Primeabgb). You should get items for cheaper offline. Ryzen 3300x - 12,999 ASRock B550 Pro4 - 9650 GSkill Ripjaws - 6400 Zotac 1660 Super Amp - 22000 Kingston A2000 500GB SSD - 5650 Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM HDD - 4500 Antec EAG 650W Pro - 6800 Case - As per choice 5k This roughly costs ~70k. Just a couple of pointers: - Cut down on the HDD if you don't need it now. - The availability of 3300x may be a concern. Also see if you can find a Ryzen 2600 at a similar price point. - As far as Intel is concerned, you can get an i3 10100 for a similar price, but the budget Intel motherboards are not future proof from what I know. - If you want to upgrade in the near future, the B550 board, the PSU and the SSD will hold good.

Priority usage is gaming What all are you looking for within the 60k budget? Does it include monitor, keyboard, mouse? Or are you looking at only the tower? And also, what kind of games? Competitive multi-player/single player etc?

Read a rumor somewhere (Reddit I guess) that Sony is likely to start supporting 1440p. I hope more titles start supporting 1440p with RT upscaled/reconstructed to 4k @ 60fps. That'll be really sweet.

Rented place man. Will do that when I decide to settle in a particular place. With this wfh jazz and talks of remote work being a possibility, don't want to redo wiring.

Anyone using a 600VA UPS for the PS5 or XSX exclusively? How does it hold up? Need it only for a couple of mins before backup kicks in. I intend to use only one of these consoles exclusively with the UPS. I already have 3 x 1100VA UPS (two APC and one Zebronics) that I split as follows: 1. APC for personal PC 2. Zebronics for work PC 3. OLED, PS5 and XSX. This was working fine for a bit since I use only one of the consoles at a given time. Of late when PS5 and OLED are at max draw, the wattage seems to be insufficient. It does work fine for XSX though. APC is a tad expensive and I am wondering if I should go with a Zebronics or an Artic. Any suggestions?

If you do speak to support, they are gonna recommend that you boot in safe mode/try removing panel and unscrewing stuff etc before deciding to take it back. I just hhad a chat with CS and suggested I try rebooting once in safemode and then contact them again if it persists. God knows how safe mode boot will fix a mechanical issue ? But hey, if you've been given a script, you gotta make use of it no matter what. I'd honestly just wait a bit and see if the issue gets resolved in horizontal and replace a good 6 months later if the issue recurs. Hopefully Sony should identify and fix these issues by then. My worry with a replacement now is that there is a likelihood of the new unit having the same problem.

Damn. There's a bundle with a new XSX controller but I already have two. I'd be happy to pay the differential if someone wants a new controller. Any idea where to get a good BT 5.0 adapter? All the ones I see online are cheap Chinese ones and one from TPLink that I already own (4.0 BT which isn't that great).

Any idea where to buy the wireless receiver for Xbox controllers at a reasonable price? The bluetooth connection is crappy af for PC.

Stick with horizontal orientation. The same thing happened with my PS5 and I switched to horizontal. There's a documented solution to remove stuck disc in Sony support site by removing the panels and using a screw driver (does not void warranty). However, not sure if it's a long term solution and will prevent it from recurring. You may want to contact support and probably ask for a replacement. I've chosen to not do it for now. If the issue persists with horizontal orientation as well, will contact Sony.

The new SX controller can supposedly switch between two devices (PC & Xbox). It's not documented, but I think a reddit user found this out. Not sure if the old one supports it.
