    So, I am not 100% sure what happened with Amazon. I ordered food for my kitten and the PS5 order got dispatched along with it. 

     

     

    It's actually being dispatched from Tohana, Haryana. Wondering if Amazon restricted shipment due to the farmer protests and started sending this out cos it exceeded a threshold limit they set (of 50k, maybe)? And both just happened to be shipped from the same warehouse.

     

    All speculation. But really curious.

    Sony can get to the bottom of this and actually find out if official stocks were sold in black. In that case, this is illegal and that SC should either be shut down or fined or both. There might be more folks who might have been cheated, but are unwilling to speak-up. 

    I want the SC guys to at least issue an apology for wasting my time and take responsibility for the mess-up. India is pretty much an unregulated market, but if official dealers start doing this, be ready to say goodbye to paying fair price for any gaming related gadget.

    Exactly. He is not revealing whom he gave it to at all. He is not revealing any information about stocks or allocation.

    To make me leave, the SC guy told me that he'll deliver in 2 days. I called him now to check the status and he's telling me that there are no stocks according to the distributor. Big surprise.

     

    He's like, you ordered online, sir. Sony will ensure you'll get a unit. I was like Sony already sent you my unit and you f**ked up. I asked him if he wanted me to go to the media and he was trying to assure me that he'll get a unit cos I booked online (again). I told him I have the Sony PS India head's email address and I plan on mailing him CC-ing you to the thread. He fell silent when I mentioned that. I cut the call and told him to share his explanation via email.

    And I just sent out the email. 

    Edit: Even now, I can cancel online and get the money back. But I don't want to do it. I want to see if I can escalate it. Spoke to Rishi and he said he's reached out to Sony for an official response.

    Give me some time. Let me see if he responds to my email. If he gets a barrage of emails right away, highly likely that he won't respond to anyone. I can share with some IVG staff if needed cos they can email him in an official capacity. If multiple individuals mail, then likely that no one will get a proper response.

    Already on it. I DMed the guy who runs "IS PS5 Out in India Yet" twitter account and he shared me the email address of the Playstation Sales & Marketing India head. 

    I just added him to the email thread with support to increase visibility. Let's see how it goes.

    I just realized that my video got cut in the middle and I didn't record it properly. I am going to ask the other guy for it and probably upload tomorrow. Will wait for an official reply from Sony email accounts regarding stock allocation.

    So, the other guy who ordered (seems like a high school kid, good natured though) brought his dad with him. His dad stayed at the store and demanded to get the details of the distributor for Hyderabad. He stayed back for like 4-5 hours, took their case and said he won't leave the store otherwise. 

    The manager finally caved in and had to do something. Anyway, I am taking it with a pinch of salt, but looking at how this SC is dealing with it, it is extremely likely. Also, they had an invoice of a PS5 lying on their counter that they tried to hide when we were asking them about it.

    Please go forward and highlight this case.

     

    I am doing whatever I can to escalate this man. Email Sony India, posted on Twitter and what-not. All the stores are being sent stocks (in whole). And there's no way that he received a part of the stocks. 

    But honestly, I am more than bummed out. I had to drive 20km one way yesterday and today. Only to hear the same f**king answer. And on top of all of this, the manager has the balls to ask me to trust him.

    As far as my Shop@SC order is concerned, seems like the SC got 30 units and sold all of them in the black market. 

    There's another person who booked offline who visited the store today with me and was denied the stock (after being called and asked to come). He's been digging around and taking their case the entire noon and is planning to go to the press/media.

     

    Dealing with Amazon is much better than dealing with these retards and frauds who are supposedly official retailers. This is why I hate offline shopping :|
