We order PS5 30 days earlier cuz we weren’t sure when we will get to buy one again, and because we wanted it early. No one did anyone any favour by preordering.
I rest my case. I don't have to explain my stance or yours. Whoever has read them can form their opinions.

The reality is there’s general struggle around the world in terms of stocks for PS5. So naturally one would keep a buffer in availability/delivery expectations, unless one is an absolute optimist.
About being opinionated, everyone is opinionated and we just chose to respect others opinion or not. Being ‘easily-offended’ is a bigger problem than being ‘opinionated’.
I am not easily offended man. I find your lack of empathy towards how others feel appalling. You have a right to be opinionated. But you have the choice to either keep that to yourself or diss others off. That's where I have a problem with. You might think excitement for a launch day console is childish. Continue doing so. Just don't spoil the mood of others who are excited. You actually called launch day excitement "Quite childish". This is what's called passing judgement and it's not welcome. It's not welcome here, it's not welcome anywhere in the world (unless you are specifically asked for your opinion).
There is a general struggle all over the world. Agreed. That's the same effing reason why I splurged 50k of my money 20 days before the launch so that I could secure a console. And I did. So what's wrong in having expectations?
Are you seriously defending Sony for the pathetic way in which they've handled this launch? If you are not going to ship out on launch, then you have the obligation to communicate to the customers who "preordered" it right?-

I spoke to the Sony customer care. This is the update. The stores will get the units on/after launch and the units are expected to be delivered in 7 working days. Seems to be more or less the same rules they've imposed on Amazon/FK to not ship before launch day.
At least this clarifies stuff. Will be good to put this on their site or communicate to the press.

How on earth is that childish man? You preorder a console for the excitement of getting it on launch day. And what's westernised about it?
I think you have a serious problem with being opinionated. People have different expectations and as long as it doesn't affect your life, please keep those opinions to yourself.
Also, I don't have a problem with them not delivering on launch day (would prefer if they do, but not a deal breaker). At least as far as my XSX order was concerned, it had already shipped by this time. Sony is doing a piss poor job with setting expectations and it's annoying.

Called up the Sony center guy in Hyderabad who is supposed to deliver my order and he tells me that no units have reached till date. And he is asking me to call him on 2nd. Wtf seriously?!
Anyway, I just dropped an email to the store owner (information on the shopatsc order page) to check the status. If I don't hear back today, planning to call him on his mobile tomorrow.

Xbox store has good deals. I ve found the pricing to be better than PS store. But PS store has been catching up of late and giving decent discounts.
As far Amazon/FK, it sucks big time. PS games are far cheaper.
If you own an Xbox, you'd have more incentives to go digital. The market for used games is also much smaller.

If they are taking developmental time & efforts on going back on a 2016 game (when PS5 Dev kits were non existent) & improving the game natively & even adding something like 120fps mode (which is not easy to pull off).
Then we should not disrespect their efforts as a “scam”.
They are giving Nioh 2 upgrade for free as it’s 2019 game & they must have worked on it simultaneously on both dev kits during project production .
Same logic applies for Remedy too
Games like Nioh,Control,DMC,Spider-Man,TLOU,GoW are last of their kind,
where the solo gameplay & storytelling is the king
These games have no means of repeated cash ins with dlc seasons or Pay2win models.
For them to spend production time on older games means time & money.
So just coz M$ is remastering all of their old games for free(in their evident free time as there was nothing else to do) we shouldn’t really expect these guys to do the same.
Folks in the PC world get these improvements for free most of the time. Allowing for unlocked framerates or high res texture packs are minor tweaks and not something that requires the entire workforce to burn their effort. Especially because game development for consoles has become very similar to developing for PCs with varying configurations and specs. Also, if a game is a multi-plat one, then higher res textures already exist. Better shadow settings, lighting etc are also baked in to the game code. It's probably been dialed down or pared back for consoles and tweaking them should not be that hard.
We ideally shouldn't be in the habit of normalizing paying for tweaks. And if the effort involved is huge, let the devs/publishers introduce a new SKU with the enhancements and allow existing owners to pay a marginal upgrade fee. Charging again in the name of remasters is a scam especially for games that are barely 2-3 years old. Just cos these are not pay2win, they shlouldn't get a free pass. Also, despite all the flak that CDPR has been receiving, they have promised free upgrade to W3 on both PS5 and XSX. So it's not only MS who is doing this. Sony lost a lot of goodwill with the Spiderman nonsense.

Once a large corporation acquires a studio, its no longer indie aka independent.
Indie studios partner with publishers. They are not owned. Like for instance, Concrete Genie was developed internally by a Sony owned studio. It may be as small as an indie, but is not treated as one.
I think this is pretty much what he meant.

Hitman 3 gives access to 1 and 2 levels if you own the previous games. Buy those during sale (usually very cheap).
Hitman 1 was already given for free on Epic/PS store a while back. Check that too. Then only need go get Hitman 2 and 3.
