My Axis ace application was declined. Just got the msg. Surprised. Last I checked my CIBIL was close to 800  have never defaulted on a CC (or anything in last 5 years. The one loan where I didn't pay EMI for a couple of months is now closed after being paid in full, and that was in 2015!). Have pretty good income (between 20-50L), only have 2 cards (with total 8L limit).

I am banker and know I should be the top candidate for a card to be given. I get 5 calls everyday from different banks that I have been pre-approved for a card.

And I was also told i was pre-approved by axis too! Wonder how this works. Would really like to know why I was rejected.

20-50L is a huge range! So much pay variation?

Speaking of CC, I already have a basic HDFC millennia card. Apart from ICICI Amazon pay, what other CCsb y'all recommended. Citi, Axis?

Citi used to have a ton of offers before. Not seeing much these days. Wondering if I should probably return mine.

    Axis is doing really good.

I had kept it in the consideration only because of the changeable switches and keys and it isn't super out of the budget. But I am only getting red switch model(with 9 free blue switches) and blue switch model(with 9 free red switches) is unavailable everywhere. So the hunt is still on.

    Thanks.

    Edit:

    HyperX Alloy Origins

    Logitech G512 Carbon

    are the others in consideration.

HyperX aqua switches are supposed to be really good.

Any reason why you aren't considering epomaker/keychron? Or even ducky from meckeys?

Don’t buy unless you need immediately. PS controllers have always been built well, and the DualSense more so.

I actually don't need it immediately. But getting a major sense of FOMO :| Especially if I want to play something on the PS5 with my wife.

Already have 3 wireless (one XSX, one Xbone and an 8bitdo) and a wired X360. But none of them will work with the PS5.

Need to, other option. I need some time with SX when my kids are with PS5

Dang. In that case, look at the Acer VG217U. It's a decent IPS panel that's HDR 400 certified. Supports 144Hz @ 1440p and costs around 25k. The LG GL850 is supposed to be better, but it's around 15k more than the Acer.

I have 2 of these for PC gaming and not much to complain about. If you have an issue with the panel (I did with one of the monitors in Sept), Acer will replace it for you.

Lol I will be at loss if that happens.. I have asked them twice and they said nothing of that sort, I will ask again at the time of closure next month and let you guys know..

The way I understand this is LG or Manufacturer basically takes that hit REGARDLESS to move their products, the no cost discount is called as “Merchant Payback” in the charge slip, so basically the Bank gets this from the merchant and for the remaining amount they give the loan to consumer.. Bank only gives a sh*t about recovering that loan, I don’t have any agreement with LG or Dealer as from my side everything is paid to them and I have the relation only with the bank so once I get the cash backs I can close the loans without any issue..

    Lets see how it goes..

Yeah, I understand. Then in that case, it makes absolutely no sense to buy something at full price when there is a 0 EMI offer!

So guys I spoke to HDFC customer care on pre-closing no cost EMI loans and they said I don’t even have to pay 3% closure charges on merchant loan, I only have to pay the interest and GST on that.. nothing to do with no cost discount I got upfront as well..

plus I will also get cash back I am supposed to get within 90 days even if I close the loan before that.. f**k I will end up getting the 65 OLED for like 1.50 now with no cost discount plus cash back if I do this now vs 1.62 if I had purchased outright..

I don’t know if the dealer takes the hit here but Bank is getting their full money.

Let me get the real numbers from them and I will give the math.

EDIT: no cashback if closed before 90 days, the customer care needs to have same training, each one telling something..so need to wait another month to close off, might loose another 2-3K maxx still good deal

Awesome! When you do close it, check the final settlement amount and let us know if the no cost discount is deducted or included.

My guess would be that it's included, but may be wrong.

True. Not that many CBs on the cards i have (it's a lifestyle card), but I've heard good things about MRCC too. Base AMEX, good RPs.

Plus if you've good credit score, smashing limits.

Agreed. I had a Platinum Reserve that I returned cos I really wasn't getting an opportunity to use it (this was 4 years back and even Amazon had just brought in support for AMEX). Using the Membership Rewards now.

I've always had a lower credit limit on my AMEX when compared to my Citi or HDFC actually. It's normally been 25% of what these cards. Probably cos I haven't been actively using it.
