Amex is very good. Outright limit is excellent, not to mention the best CC support you'll get in India.

I once had a query on a charge on my CC. Now I was being a moron on not understanding it, but the guy on the other side kept his cool while trying to make me understand using multiple examples for 15 mins straight. Hats off to the guy !

This. Hands down the best support. They are still not widely accepted in retail stores, but it's improved significantly over the last 4 years.

If you primarily plan to use it for online, no worries at all.

Some thing that really blew my mind when I was playing today...

Okay, so I was riding to the Post Office in Valentine to complete the Rock Carving quest when suddenly I heard a loud sound of a glass window breaking in a nearby building. I immediately brought my horsie to a stop and looked at the building to see a man had been thrown through a window onto the muddy road! The other guy (the husband) who had just thrown him out comes out and yells at him to stay away from his wife and lands a punch to his face... Eeek! The guy, although injured from being thrown through glass and what not stands up and says it was only just a peck on the wife's cheeks and then delivers his own ruthless beating on the husband. In his fit of rage, he beats the husband dead and then says "Maybe I'll go see your wife again and have a drink at the bar on my way to her" and goes back in to the bar like a mean antagonist! Whew!! :wOOtjumpy:

I was like holy sh*t man... did that just happen, that was real as f**k! How does Rockstar even code something as random and believable like that which makes the world in their games that much more immersive. I swear I stopped gaming for a few minutes and just thought about the entire incident, it was so movie-like!

I'm coming to RDR2 right after completing and spending 45+ hours on Cyberpunk 2077 (PC). I cannot even begin to fathom how CDPR could not include even one such, mind you... just ONE such random ped incident which mad me stop and actually ponder on the realism of the city. But no... all I ever stared at in CP2077 were mindless drones repeating same set of inane lines over and over again.

Witcher 3 had momets like these. I think with CP 2077, they hyped too much without even starting development. Reports say that the development started properly only in 2016.

Makes me wonder what it could have been.

From what i read here few months back, someone had posted PS5 having a feature similar to QR on Xbox.

Dunno if that was true or just fanboy blatter. Better to ask the fanboys like Ank or Hope as they have direct access to the Playstation Team :P

Lol. From what I know, you can just suspend and put on sleep. Equivalent of QR doesnt exist.

Khan Maykr is tough until you figure out what you have to do. It seemed quite difficult even in easy mode. Btw I found Doom Eternal's menu music to be very similar with Wolfenstein II's menu music.

Agression is the only thing that works in that fight. Also, playing with the controller and aiming those headahots to refill ammo were way harder than it would have been with a keyboard and mouse :/

I agreeeeeeeee, Khan Maykr was f**king tough man.. In the last one you had all the resources on had and it was such larger than life feeling everything throwed and you and you are still killing it...

Did you also play the Slayer Gates?? those were effin awesome as well

I think I finished one or two slayer gates. Plan on checking them out later once the entire DLC is out.

  6. I know enough has been said about Quick Resume, but it still wows me.  Being able to jump to a race in Forza or start right where I left off in Doom is just insane even after a cool boot.

I feel like I've started enjoying the games a lot more. I normally game for an hour or two tops and removing the load time barrier is a god send to me. Switching between the games too. Everytime I got tired of Doom, I could instantly switch to FH4.

I really hope PS5 does something similar too.

  7. Absolute n00b to the game and finally enjoying it. Started on Xbox One X, but I didn't find it very enjoyable. Started playing it over the weekend again and it finally clicked after I unlocked a few events and understood the car handling better. Loving the dirt and drift races :D

Been extremely out of touch with racing games since the good ol' NFS games. The last NFS game that I finished was Carbon and only dabbled in Burnout series on PSP a bit. I'll likely get the expansions for this and try getting my hands on FH3 as well.

  8. Just finished the game this morning. Enjoyed it way better than the original Doom 2016 epsecially the platforming and the secrets. Movement felt much tighter and the platforming sections were not at all annoying. I really liked the Urdak level section with air jumps.

I honestly felt that the final boss was better than the Khan Maykr boss. Atleast it was like a regular doom level where movement is prioritized and you had to constantly keep moving around, finding weaker demons to kill, refill ammo to take down the titan. Whereas Khan Maykr wiped my a*s for about an hour and 30 minutes before I figured out the trick and defeated her.

Filling up most of the level with lava is not so cool man :|

I just wanted to have all major platforms so that I can play as per convenience. Have PC (R5 3600+ RTX 2070 Super), sold my PS4 and Xbox One (both from 2015), grabbed XSS for XGP-machine, and secured a PS5 on FK :first:. I knew I’d go for PS5 no matter what hence didn’t want to spend more for XSX.

    Same boat as you :fear1:

    R5 3600 + 2700 Super

XSX cos wanted to put the OLED to use ?

    PS5 from Amazon/ShopatSc

No you won't. You can totally foreclose at any point in time. Most people buy on EMI because they can't afford to pay upfront so its not really a big issue for them.

I know people can foreclose anytime. But my card is normally charged lesser than MRP (discounting interest) first. Then the interest is billed each cycle.

If I foreclose a 0% emi purchase, I still have to pay the net amount including the discount, right? That's what I meant

  11. 2 minutes ago, Assassins Creed said:

Yeah, its no cost, so they give the discount upfront and charge interest every month right.. we can even avoid that interest for rest of the month if what they say is true i.e close the loan after 3 months by paying 2.5 or 3% and GST on it... so the product price was 1.7L but adjusted loan showing in CC is around 1.56 I think.. will know by March

May be wrong, but I think you'll end up paying the upfront discount. Else everyone can use this method to get items for way lesser than MRP.

I am planning to do this once the first 3 EMI condition is over and I get the cash back on the TV purchase, it will actually save me good money if I close the loan, dunno if its possible but will try..

Definitely possible. I've done this before.

But do double check if you opted for no cost emi (doesn't seem to be the case for you I guess).  See if the 2.5% charge is lesser than the 18%GST on interest that's charged.

  13. 15 hours ago, playstationdude said:

I guess it will still be cheaper than full interest? Around 1500 or so? Let me check with the bank nearer to 2nd Feb.

Yes, it will be cheaper. Most banks charge to the tune of 2.5% preclosure charges.

If you opted for merchant EMI as against manual EMI conversion, then it's even better. Most sites do not charge any processing fee on EMI, but some of them do.

I had a bad experience with Citibank in the same scenario. I bought something and that got cancelled in the next billing cycle. I made the balance payment thinking total credits match total
Debits, however in the next statement I noticed a non-payment interest charge, called the Cc and they said you have to clear the billed amount as per statement while the other credit will be counted in the next cycle.

After that experience, I have never left the billed amount unpaid even though a credit was received in the next billing cycle.

My suggestion would still be to confirm with the bank first as different banks may have different policies in this regards. Better to be safe than sorry

That sucks man. Thanks for sharing.

But honestly, should have fought with citibank. How is a merchant credit any different from "bill settlement"? It makes absolutely no sense. Money is money. Doesn't matter who credits it.

Angad is correct. If the cancellation shows up in your statement after billing for a period is done, it will show up as a credit in the next billing cycle, and for the previous billing cycle, one has to make the payment in full. Whatever adjustments are there against other purchases, that will happen only for the next billing cycle.

Any reason why the bill needs to be paid in full? How is this different from a cashback that you get on your card or paying the bill in multiple instalments within the due date? Also, if you do pay the bill in full, on top of the refund, you'll only have a negative due. I've done this a lot of times and never faced any issues till now.

Yep. Thats what i understand as well

This is correct. Like it'll show up in your bill but you don't have to pay it.

    This is my understanding too.

Yes, but then he ‘has’ to pay the 50k amount after those 20 days even if he gets it cancelled since the bill would have got generated (refunds or returns on cards don’t count as payment, they just reflect as a credit that will be adjusted in the next billing cycle).

Nope. He doesn't have to pay the 50k. Any cancellation on your account is treated as credit.

It is equivalent to paying the bill.
