One more thing to add to it is the panel's ability to upscale content. Some TVs do a phenomenal job of upscaling regular SD content. Difference is always noticeable, but it stands out the image processing is bad on a particular panel.

Rtings review seems otherwise though. They say upscaling is decent and motion judder also seems fine.

? MakoReactor has a piece that talks about December launch being the best case scenario. The lot allocated for for November is already sold out. So even if they do announce pre-orders it will be for Dec or later. Edit: Just called up the local Sony center in Hyderabad to try my bit. They said that it will mostly be a late Nov/early Dec launch and pre-orders will start around 15th of next month (he was clear that Sony hasn't confirmed the dates though). Not sure how reliable the info is.

Don't think the X360 controller works. They've officially confirmed support only for Xbox One controllers. The X360 controllers weren't backwards compatible with Xbone in the first place. So unlikely that they'll receive support. Why do you want the recharge kit? Just get a couple of rechargeable batteries and you are good.

You've linked to the 870 QVO, which is significantly worse than the EVO series. Also it comes only with 3 years warranty. The MX500 is the better option. It comes with 5 years warranty too.

I wouldn't claim to be an expert, but you can definitely get the Crucial MX500. The performance is as good as the Samsung Evo 860 without having to pay the Samsung tax.

The Evo 970 plus is enthusiast level to be honest and the price was marked down significantly. To the tune of ~50%. In day to day usage, you won't be able to see much of a difference between these two (although the NAND on Samsung is supposedly superior and longer lasting). This is actually a pretty good model. Much better than the Crucial P1 or the Intel 660p. And the cost is comparable to that of a SATA SSD.

Just another point to add to this. The Amazon culture ain't that great. It's a bit ruthless in terms of delivery and prioritizing and is definitely not something conducive to creative freedom. They are great at shipping software or developing technology, but you need to have an artistic vision to make games. MS is reasonably better than Amazon. Sony is in a different league altogether.

I meant they've been in the business for decade. MS first party studios have been severely lagging behind in terms of original content. I am not even going to argue about that. But in comparison, Amazon has been worse off. Their recent foray into gaming was a major flop. And they spent sh*t ton of money on that project. MS owns studios because it has built an ecosystem around it for decades (yes, from the ground-up) and they have a market for it. So according to you, Amazon will just pay money, buy studios and release where? On their cloud streaming service? Let's talk in hypebole and say that it's going to happen. Those games will be exclusive to Luna? And all of a sudden cloud stream will become the rage and become a success overnight? Based on your argument Stadia should have already been a success and brought down MS. Such logic. Much wow.

That doesn't even make sense. These guys are not PC builders where they pick up components available in the market and build something. How can you compare hardware design of comparable tech when the two MNCs don't necessarily make comparable tech. At least until recently, that is.

Not true. Xbox gen1 was way more powerful than PS2. X360 was an easier console to develop for than PS3. Tech wise PS3 was superior, but X360 punched way above its weight and was the preferred platform for most third party devs that generation. XSX is more powerful than PS4 Pro. If you look at it purely in terms of specs, both have had powerful consoles over the years. Just saying MS has always been better than Sony or Sony has always better than MS is just jackshit.
