  1. Going to drop this here Glad that I pre-ordered the XSX for now.
  2. Exactly. None of the reviews talk about it in detail. Will be awesome if Hisense launches its H9G here.
  3. They could have gone ahead with that pull and unscrew system that comes with most monitors these days. But serious nitpicks, these are. That's what we've been pushed to with no launch details from Sony.
  4. Agreed that it's much faster. But the price drop logic can hold true for Xbox storage as well. Also, MS has confirmed that it's going to be available in different capacities. Right now, the major drawback that I see is that, if you get the Xbox storage card, you can't use it elsewhere. The Sony SSD can be used as a drive in a PC as well.
  5. Could be a concern. Or could just be the fact that the overheating issue is blown out of proportions. They probably might end up with a firmware update to boost the fan RPM if it's not already at max prior to launch. If they were really concerned about the excess heat, why even send it out to reviewers/youtube folks?
  6. Back to the fact that MS has very little to show in terms of first part studios. Sony is able to do it cos all it's developers are working for a single platform. Whereas MS is relying heavily on third parties at launch.
  7. I just read the article. He just said that "ray-tracing as a technology has failed" cos it hasn't caught-up and the performance hit is significant. ‘When I think about games where ray-tracing has had a dramatic impact on my experience as a player’ said Spencer, ‘it’s kind of spotty.’ So much nonsense going on in the thread without even reading through the article completely
  8. For some odd reason, Amazon didn't give me the ICICI card on my primary account that I actively use. I had to use my secondary account (the one that I created to get 30 day free trial while traveling to the US) to get the card.
  9. +1 on this. It's much much better than PSN. PSN Indian sales are shitty af.
  10. Got it. Will try submitting the form. Before that, any recommendations on other better Axis bank cards?
  11. I already have a couple of cards. HDFC Regalia ICICI Amazon Pay Citi Rewards Amex Rewards Is it recommended to go for the Axis Flipkart card? The 6 month no cost EMI and reward points do seem enticing.
  12. Wouldn't call MS lucky. How is it that they are lucky if they have consciously been spending millions of dollars?
  13. I've generally found Samsung and LG service to be good. No clue about Sony honestly, but Sony TVs are more expensive in general, so may not be surprised if parts availability is an issue. Why dont you buy the TV from shopatsc.com if your local Sony center is closed? That or Reliance Digital should also be fine. Also with regard to repair vs replace, it depends on the component that is faulty. I agree that the replacement policy in the west is much better, but Indians are known to scam a lot and companies are generally wary. So a lot of times they try to repair rather than replace. Has nothing to do with where you buy from.
  14. Don't worry so much man. If you get a faulty piece, Sony will replace it. I bought an LG C9 just after shops reopened during lockdown and got a faulty panel. It was a bit of a hassle, but even back then, got a new TV in two weeks. Things should be much better now irrespective of brand.
  15. This. You may also want to look at a CPU upgrade. 4 cores with 4 threads might get obsolete once the next generation of consoles hit the market.
  16. It's just been amazing how MS managed to turn things around. I got tired of waiting on Sony and preordered the XSX. It seems very weird that Sony hasn't sent its consoles to youtube tech channels and media outlets yet.
  17. Agreed. But the point is that the game is able to run @ 60fps unoptimized only through sheer brute strength. It just speaks about how much more powerful it is when compared the previous Xbox One X.
  18. Far from an expert, but sharing what I know. HDR really stands out when your panel has local dimming so that the HDR zones get bright. Most TVs or even monitors for that matter lack this and the highlights don't look that great. Even though folks advertise certain monitors as HDR10, they might be an 8bit panel with FRC to approximate them. If you are a PC gamer primarily, then going for a 144Hz panel is a no brainer. However, if you are primarily looking at consoles, then a TV may suit you better.
  19. It may. But you'll still likely miss on HDR. Even the best of monitors lack as far as HDR is concerned.
  20. In no particular order 1. VedantComputers 2. TheItDepot 3. MDComputers (recently changed their return policy that's been receiving flak) 4. PrimeAbgb
  21. Just curious. Are you a college student and hence the preference for a laptop or do you want something portable since you travel a lot? Curious because you can probably build a killer rig for the same price and I see so many people on Indian gaming subreddit interested in high priced laptops too.
  22. Any follow-up to what Rishi reported about the PS5 preorder status in India?
  23. Any reason for this? X570 feels like overkill to me I bought it at Zen 3 launch. B450 boards were not compatible out of the box back then. I decided to future proof it a bit so that I can swap out the 3xxx series for a 47xx a couple of years down the line. As far as the rest of build is concerned, - 8x2GB Gskill TridentZ 3000Mhz overclocked to 3200 - Samsung Evo 860 512GB SATA SSD - Gigabyte RTX 2070S Windforce - Antec EAG 650W Gold PSU - CM Hyper 212x Black cooler - Seagate 2TB 7200 HDD - CM Master Pro L white CherryMX brown mech board - Logitech G102 - 2 x Acer Nitro VG271U 1440p 144Hz monitor
