  1. Any idea where I can pick up a decent wired controller for PC? Using my dualshock and want an extra controller for co-op. Dont wanna shell 4.5k+ for another dualshock or xbone controller. There's an X360 controller in the cex nearby, but its likely to be heavily used. Would prefer going for a new one.

Amazon and FK either have crappy ones or overpriced PDP ones that cost over 3k

    Titanfall 2

That Steam top 10 list is wild  Half expecting Smash Bros to show up there.

If it does, Nintendo is going to take in $$$

lol they could have continued to sell Xbone x instead of making new SKU.

During their July conference they could have announced it Don Mattrick style.

"Don't have 500 dollars? we have a product for you, it's called Xbox One X"

The CPU is too weak. Even if the new SKU matches the Xbone X in TFLOPs, the architectural improvements and SSD would make it punch way above what the numbers suggest.

You should watch the Digital Foundry video that released a while back on why TFLOPs dont matter anymore.

Bit expensive side also seems tobhave designed for workout don't need such trip grip in ears

Would recommend getting headphones instead. Something with noise cancellation that ensures you are not disturbed and is comfortable to wear. I have a Bose QC II that I use for office work and it's just amazing. My wife can watch TV in the same room and I can dial in to a meetings and not hear what's playing on the TV(I ask her to switch off in case I have to talk though ? )

  5. The new trailer looks gorgeous. If it reduces pop-in, and is decently optimized I'd consider double dipping even though I got a plat on the PS4.

And the steam pricing is just icing on the cake. The complete edition is around 1100 bucks.

    How is Montara ?

Just tried a Japanese 60 k road bike, very fast but didn't find it very comfortable compared to hybrid. ( Was Never going to buy of this range)

I use a hero hawk currently so was under the assumption road bike would be the best for me and also need for long distances.

    Someone else also suggested Montara.

I am no pro at this, but will share what I know. I've always been using a Hybrid, so can't comment on how road bikes fare in the long run. I've always preferred hybrids mainly cos we don't have perfect roads in India. I use it mostly on tarmacked roads and go off the road to avoid traffic when I cycle outside the city.

Btw, it's Montra. Not "Montara". It's a pretty decent Indian brand man. If you are within the 18-30k range, it's better to look at Montra, Firefox and probably BTWin too. If  you want to spend more, you can look at the ones from Schwinn, Ridley, Bergamont.

I ended up getting  Scholl Hybrid HB 9.1. Scholl's not that popular in India and it's got a very limited range. But I tried it and liked it. Had a lot of difficulty sourcing a Montra so went ahead with this. It's as good if not better than the Montra Blues 2.1 that I had.

I don't know if this is OT. Mods can delete it if it is.

I wanted to know people's opinion on boss fights. I was thinking about it and I've realised that boss fights have been rarely enjoyable for me. I'd rather have a well designed mob with different enemies requiring different strategies than an extended boss fight.

I feel boss fights are rarely implemented well. More often than not, you are tasked with killing a boss with a limited moveset, a huge HP pool and a specific way of killing them. Even in the Doom reboot which was an otherwise flawless game, all boss fights other than hell knights felt like a chore.

Depends on the game. Boss fights in Soulsborne games are extremely enjoyable. They are one of the major highlights of the entire series.

I get your point about Doom boss fights being lame. But it completely depends on how the developer has designed the fight.

Basically anyone who criticises the central government and these days, whoever thinks "coronil" is bullshit.

Folks who criticize the central govt dont want India to fail. This, right here is a major problem. Why is hard for people to criticize a govt for doing something wrong and appreciate it for doing things right.

It was a good move to initiate the lockdown early. But a crappy move to confuse people and give them a false sense of security and making them believe they've beat corona. See what I did there?

Not gaming related but posting here since it might get the most responses.

So the company i am interning in wants to change it's old macbook pros.

Now work is soft. dev, so lot of IDE's instances, chrome, docker etc. So minimum requirement is quad core, 16gb ram with decent storage.

Please recommend the best VALUE (budget is not strict) but should be best VALUE.

Will appreciate both mac and non mac recommendations (new amd 4600/4800?).

But why are you enquiring about it? Do they expect you to buy and get it reimbursed? Don't companies normally give you one themselves? What IDEs will you be using and what languages will you be programming in?

As far as ease of use for programming is concerned, Mac would be the easiest choice. Its got great compatibility with plethora of dev tools and is well optimized in general. But you will shell out north of 1.2L. Go for an i7 at least with min 16GB of RAM.

Linux laptops would be the next best bet, but there are limited options available in India. You can however install a distro by getting a reasonably powerful machine from Asus/Lenovo etc and install yourself, but do make sure that driver compat is good. If you want things to run out of the box with a Linux distro, I think Dell XPS range has a few that ship with Ubuntu. Do check it out but it will be expensive (but cheaper than a Mac Pro). AMD Ryzen 7 us supposed to be good, but you might have difficulty finding a lot of options to choose from in India.
