No reliance digital is terrible. Get manufacturers warranty even if more expensive. f**kers took 1.5 months along with multiple calls and visits to fix my uncle's Samsung TV. They took his TV and then just did nothing. He had to fight so much with them and they eventually issued a refund and he bought an LG TV with it.
Our experience could be an outlier but I'd recommend you to exercise caution. The customer service was apathetic at all levels.
Thanks man. Even I am cautious about anything other than brand warranty and hence I asked here. Which city was this?

OLED warranties are pretty expensive from LG. So check what ResQ (RD's warranty arm) is offering.
You can find the LG prices on their site. If you buy during the initial month, you also get some extra discount.
Enjoy your OLED. Trust me, It will ruin all other TVs got you.
Edit: Recommend turning off all lights in the night, put Gravity on, and enjoy only the stars. You will not see anything else. It's my quintessential night time experience.
Will check em man
Also, I ve been using the TV now, but the experience has been ruined cos of the flicker. Will try Gravity once the new panel arrives (and hope it doesnt have any issues ? )

Sad to see, I had a screen replacement for LED TV in last month of warranty and only two weeks were left with warranty. They promptly exchanged my led screen in three days and even gave me an option to upgrade to a newer version if I so wished at a decent upgrade price.
Guess it's just bad times right now, and I would suggest you put this behind and enjoy your new TV, the PQ will put a smile on your face everytime you switch it on and hopefully cushion the initial bad experience. Wish you the very best.
thanks, @AtheK. I hope so too.
The Reliance guys are asking me to buy the extended warranty from them, but I am not convinced. Do you suggest getting something of the sort?

Any update on your TV mate?
Hey man, thanks for asking. So, it's been one crazy experience. I am going to summarize what's been happening for the past couple of weeks.
I bought the TV on 23rd May and got it delivered on 24th. Installed it on 25th to find that the panel was faulty and raised a complaint the same day. I escalated the issue to both LG and Reliance and they confirmed that it was a DOA and it had to be replaced. But there was too much back and forth between who had to do the replacement and the timelines (mainly from the Reliance folks who promised that it would be done by 30th and then went radio silent). I was repeatedly following up and told them that I needed some clarity on what's going wrong and told them that I was okay with waiting as long as they kept the process transparent. Finally had to escalate the issue to the area manager via the Reliance sales team since I told them that I'd be initiating a charge back. Got a prompt response telling me that things would be sorted in the couple of days.
A few email exchanges later, the LG folks confirmed my replacement promised delivery and installation by Thursday 11th of June. I check with those guys on Wed only to find out that the service manager has been sent on compulsory medical leave (guessing that he was suspected to be COVID-19 positive). I felt bad for the poor bloke but was pissed off cos till Tuesday, they told me that things were on track.
I escalated the issue to the area manager for LG and had a quick call with her and asked her for timelines. She personally promised to look into things and forwarded the Hyd region service manager's number. He told me that he'd be fast tracking it and asked for 2 days time and I obliged. I wait for 2 days and checked with him (yesterday) and he tells me that he has asked the retail store to do the replacement. And I was like WTF mainly cos I was made to run between LG & Reliance when I first reported the issue. Then he explained to me that the replacements are done by LG but because of some unforeseen circumstances, they've made an exception and asked the retailer to replace it.
Then the Reliance guys called me up and told me that they had to get another approval from their Mumbai HQ to rebill the item and asked for time till last evening. Things got processed and I finally got the new bill. This morning, the delivery guy calls me up to check if I am available for delivery. During this conversation he asks me if the old TV has been uninstalled and I reply in the negative. He now says that their protocol is to both pick up the faulty TV and deliver the new one. Now, because LG has offloaded the new TV delivery to Reliance, I had to get on another call with the Reliance service team to sort this out. Since their field agents were all busy, the service manager suggested that I uninstall it myself (since it was only stand mounted). Finally, I had to pack up the TV myself and had to call the delivery guy to tell him that it was uninstalled. Now, I am waiting for the delivery to be done by tonight/tomo.
Just keeping my fingers crossed that the new TV doesn't develop any defects cos I can't go through this sh*t again. Has been a pretty horrible experience for me, honestly. COVID-19 is just one factor, but I think the bigger issue is the apathy towards customer plight and an attitude towards reactive resolution. Things get sorted only if you raise a ruckus in most places and most service folks simply don't bother to update you regularly. I was lucky to have found some helpful guys who were around to pick up calls and respond. I just hope things get sorted in the next couple of days and I can finally enjoy the TV.

Would it be a good idea to wait for RTX 3 series?
RTX 3 is gonna be def better if the leaks are true. But you are looking at a wait time of least 6 months to 1 year for things to be available widely. If you are okay with that, go ahead with it by all means.
Also, 4K 120 is impossible at this budget at least for recently launched AAA games. Heck even 4k 60 would require you spend around 2x your budget for games that are out now (if you are looking at ultra or high settings). This config should last you 3 years or so, but things will evolve in the coming years pretty drastically IMO since the console baseline will be reset soon with the launch of PS5 and XSX and ray tarcing would start becoming more mainstream.
Go with what you want now. But if you are okay waiting for a year, then you will def get a better system. Just keep your expectations in check.

Hey guys, I am planning to build a pc for gaming. Complete noob here.
Let me know where to start.
Budget arnd 1.5 including a monitor.
There are folks around who know a lot more. But this is what I'd recommend.
1. Ryzen 3600 (probably wait to see if XT is worth it).
2. Get a B450M board (MSI or AsRock). Go for an X570 if you want no hassles with upgrading to Ryzen 4 though. I have an X570 Aorus Pro from GB which is good. Other good ones include those from MSI/Asus. But check for good VRMs and reviews once you decide if you want B450/X570.
3. RTX 2070 Super. Msi/Zotac/GB with triple fan ideally
4. 16GB 3200Mhz or greater RAM. Gskill Trident/Corsair Vengeance/Gskill Ripjaws
5. Samsung Evo 860/Crucial MX 500 SATA SSD. 500GB or more.
6. Get a gold rated Corsair TX/CM 650W PSU.
7. Good mesh case from CM or other brand of your choice

Any idea on what the turnaround time for an LG OLED replacement is? Its been 15 days since I logged my complaint (on a brand new C9 that had flicker issues out of the box), and they've promised to send a new one by tomorrow. But I still haven't received a call from them and things moved forward only cos I escalated the issue to the level of area manager.
But honestly, I am running out of patience with the back and forth between Reliance Digital and LG. Worst case, I ll claim a refund on my credit card saying they are not providing promised service.

I'd honestly say go to a BTwin/Decathlon store and check it out. The one near me has a couple hundred bikes, and they have GPS tags on them so you can take them outside, and not just ride them inside the store.
I don't own a hybrid myself, I use a regular bike. I don't even do long distance, just 40 minutes or so every day.
PS Been regularly cycling for about 4 months now, and my legs feel way better. Muscle replaces fat, although nothing too extreme. I just enjoy it, its not about fitness but its an added plus.
BTwin is decent. I used to own a Montra Blues earlier and wanted suggestions on whether there is something better in the same price range. If not, will settle for the Montra itself. Was pretty good and heard the newer models are the same if not slightly better
-
Suggestions for a good hybrid bike? Gave up cycling a year or so back and want to get back into it.
Want to pick one up for me and one for wifey. Entry level with combined budget of around 50k tops

The June 4 teaser also had a black DualSense. You can chk in the OP
Ah gotcha. But the teaser video actually showed it in all black. So my guess is that they are at least going with two colors. The white looks meh IMO. Anyway, I just hope they showcase the console at least at this point.

Yes thats definitely the reason they delayed the reveal nothing else
I was saying that in context of Black Lives Matter. Beyond the lack of coverage it would have garnered and the fact that it would have been insensitive for them to reveal a new console or showcase games that are almost exclusively focused on shooting/fightning, showcasing an all white console/gamepad would have just brewed a shitstorm.
-
Is it just me or did we all miss the Dualshock that's now in black color? Possibly the reason why they delayed the reveal?

PS - Much respect to Linus for owning up to his mistake.
Very true. This was used as a fodder by so many PCMR fanboys to sh*t on consoles.

Yep, absolutely do press on that point.
As @playstationdude has mentioned, this is basically the most premium range as far as Indian retailers are concerned.
A bit of an update. The LG technician showed up yesterday, opened the processing unit at the back to check for loose cables and confirmed that this seems to be a panel issue. He is able to see some panel errors in the service console. He has updated the ticket with details and put an update saying I've asked for replacement.
The Reliance guys asked me for the LG tracking # so that they can process the replacement and I am waiting to hear back from them on the status. Was really excited about the TV and now just keeping fingers crossed regarding the replacement going through in a timely manner.

The self-installation will have nothing to do with the problem, but can become a point for them to nitpick.
Hopefully this gets sorted soon.
Thanks, man. I know that it ideally should not be an issue. I went through the warranty doc just to be doubly sure and it isn't mentioned anywhere that self-installation voids the warranty. This is evidently an internal problem and I hope they don't end up using that an excuse to create a scene. The Reliance guys are at fault for not knowing that LG service centers are closed. It they had known it, I would have refrained from buying the TV in the first place and waited for things to get sorted.

Croma is really good in this department. The customer care is very helpful. I had a washing machine from samsung with Closet dry feature. Somehow the drying was not happening after a few months and Samsung engineers were just f**king around, trying to tell us the feature is not what we expect (despite me using it for 6 months). Finally assholes got my machine out of warranty and refused service.
Approached the Croma store casually and their area manager took it up with Samsung and got me a new replacement. They actually told Samsung reps we will stop selling your washing machines if you cause so much inconvenience to our customer. Lol.
Damn. Croma was my first choice, but they didn't have the TV in stock. The reliance rep has been helpful so far and has escalated my issue so that a service engineer from Reliance drops by and inspects. Hopefully they shouldn't deny replacement saying it was self-installed. If they do, I plan on escalating the issue since they didn't tell me that LG service centers are non-operational.

Connect with the store. Its their responsibility ideally, since the TV is brand new.
Thanks. I'll try calling the sales rep tomorrow.

I though that was a flash from your phone due to recording. That seems quite noticeable. Better to get it checked.
I am so bummed. Was pretty excited for the TV and now this issue. Getting hold of customer service guys is going to be a nightmare now especially considering LG call centres are non-operational.

Where is the flicker in the video?
Between seconds 21-22.

Yes, its not particularly difficult. Anyway, apart from raising a concern with the retail store, I assume there will be a technician coming to your place tomorrow to install it?
Already did. Waited for 2 days and got a message saying that the service centres are still closed. The call centres are non functional and there's no way to follow-up on the tickets. Whatever I raised got closed automatically and hence we (wifey and I) decided to do the installation ourselves.
From what I've noticed, this flicker happens mostly with static images/screens. When there's moving content, it doesn't happen or even if it does, it's barely noticeable. Raised another ticket just in case to see if it that gets picked up at least. If the service engineer does show up, will show the issue and see how to get it resolved.

Is the flickering constant/ frequent?
It happens like once every 30 seconds or so. Its very minor and is sometimes rarely imperciptible.

Yes, but installing it is no different from attaching a monitor to a mount. You just need to be careful. Anyway, I will raise a ticket and see what they say. It is annoying af.

Could also be an issue with the HDMI connections/cable. Assuming that wasn't while using the inbuilt media streaming apps.
It's happening even in the dashboard.

The service centers are all closed, so ended doing the installation myself. But I noticed some random flickering while watching content. Have you come across this? I am worried that the panel may/board may be faulty
