    Sir :majesty: I feel bad for abusing him over the years. Never expected him to do well in England. :clapping:

     

    In all honesty he deserves all the credit that is due for him. Granted he was a mediocre player when he started off but he's improved by leaps and bounds.

    All the cop he's got is for a couple of bad innings in odis n t20. But he's answered his criticism well.

    What does a washout today mean as far as the group standing and qualifications are considered?

     

    Edit: they just cleared it on air:

    India win, they are through and Pak is out. Washout Pak is out and rest of the group is alive.

    India lose, whole group is open again

    wasim akram on commentary said (that too thrice) when that fielder dropped the catch off amla that "he had no chance" :doh: it's a regulation catch these days.

     

    when it comes to commentators most of them these days are run-of-the-mill & vary from decent to plain ridiculous. for me, its about voice quality (tone, modulation etc) & pronunciation/grammar. ganguly & akram are the worst when it comes to the latter. ganguly, inspite of being indian, insists on calling him sh-AKE-r dhawan instead of sh-IK-har dhawan :wacko: akram makes some grammatical mistake every sentence.

    Wasim Akram is the worst! When Pak is going well, you can actually hear him saying "we" have got good bowlers, "we" are batting well etc..

    Dick you are a commentator. Supposed to stay neutral! And how do they allow him to say 'gonna' and 'gotta' and 'wanna' on air?! Hurts your ears to hear that!

     

    I agree with your point about diction and pronunciation. That's why I love hearing Mark Nicholas, Alan Wilkins and Harsha Bhogle.

    I miss Mark Nicholas!

    Suggestions for good phones in the 25k plus minus 2k bracket? Nexus 4 seems to be the best for me.. Any alternatives?

    Sala that Umpire didn't give 1 lbw and one caught behind. DRS :doh:

    I actually liked it when DRS was left to the umpires for any on field decisions. It was some champions trophy itself I think they had used as an experiment in.

    1 referral is too less IMO. But still better than nothing.

    imo Punk's heel reign was impressive. He was actually despised by many.

    The only problem I saw with his heel run that he was made to look like a cowardly heel rather than a dominant heel. Although that did help put the Shield on the map so can't really complain much.

     

    But I thought Punk was at his supreme best in his feud with the Undertaker.

     

    Him clobbering the deadman with the urn, dumping the ashes all over him and the vicious look in his eyes when he did that was golden!

    Well not the next Shawn Michaels but def someone to carry on his legacy. Don't see him main eventing wrestle mania any time soon at least till the part timers are still around.. But boy can he put on a spectacle in the ring!

     

    I hope the RKO by Orton on DB signifies the start of his heel turn and a feud between him and Bryan.. Should be an interesting of not a great feud

    Superb batsman.. but a pathetic fielder. Never the fit person and i dont think i ever seen him dive.. ESP while chasing and even if ball was within his dive's reach and about to cross the boundary.

    Hey c'mon now he did dive! Only after the ball had passed him though :P

     

    But he dived!
