Damn that’s bad. Can’t say the Series X is top notch. Too janky. CDPR should’ve just skipped the last gen base consoles like you mentioned earlier. I personally found the game interesting but on the X still stuck without the Day 0 or 1 patch so it’s all a blurry mess. Gave up in the afternoon and jumped into Fenyx which at least reminds me I have a next gen console and a 4K tv.

Apparently and I verified this from some fine print later as well, manufacturers do not cover burn in and it is considered normal wear. The only burn in cover is in the states if someone buys the Best Buy extended warranty but that’s not the brand warranty ofc. Anyway back to my current setup, played around with the tv settings and decided PC mode input as a workaround for the Washed Out HDR was not worth it. Setup HDR in the standard preset and turned off all post processing. So far on the Series X haven’t noticed any apparent input lag. Will try the same on the Pro since that’s where my cod is. PC mode is awesome for negligible input lag but it destroys the HDR and Colors are over saturated to the point where in Fenyx they become jarring.

At my age, I wake up launch the game, reach the title screen and sit back for a cup of tea. This applies to all games no matter the hype. Then caught up with the midnight livestream by Namokar. Farmed enough cringe for the day and then began the game.

Again why and who are we to judge? Unless one thinks they know better on how to make money than the business minds at MS or any other brand. And it’s not like the S is unsold all of it. People are buying it, not probably as much as the X or the PS5, but there is a demographic out there that just doesn’t care for the cutting edge 4K60fps shenanigans. The S is a great entry point for casuals and folks who play just one game all year be it FIFA or COD or anything else. MS gets this crowd to be enticed into the broader scheme of their market with offerings like GP. Non-buyers can cry hoarse all they want, but the S is very much here to stay.

Arre bhai woh log apne hard earned paise se le liye hai. Who are we to judge someone’s choice of happiness? Not like we helped them with payments. Not everyone is after the “best possible” or “Top End” model hype. Let people have their share of joy. They’ll most likely have fun playing on any hardware that supports it and probably not complain or run to forums to complain and play the victim card. TBH it’s the ones that stick around on the base consoles that get my most respect. They have choices and in their own personal capacity they are content with what they have. Unlike entitled kids who want to diss a brand that they don’t even own or have 0 plans of owning. It’s like someone sitting in a BEST bus to work and “looking downl at a suited guy driving a Merc S-class and mentally critiquing the idiot for buying a merc instead of a bimmer.

If you are to believe teeny bopper industry analysts living off daddy’s hard earned monies, even the Series X version will be termed as Shite eventually when the optimised patch drops. PS5 or nothing is the way to go

From what their own brand engineer who came home to fix my Wi-Fi card not working issue, they do replacements for Oled. Just that it is a little tedious with the senior mgmt cribbing about approvals. The engineers have to face the heat from customers so they have devised their own jugaad - “run the mobo and panel dead ingeniously” which then demands a replacement. So yeah not really a courtesy thing. And again purely dependent on luck in terms of how experienced the engineer you get is and how far he’s willing to go to “help” you out.

Pretty sure those “unfortunate underprivileged” souls don’t care how better it looks/runs elsewhere. They made their choice with their own wallet. Can we say the same thing about X/PS5 owners who will be left behind by the PC master race when it comes to full fat FPS and graphics fidelity?
