Yeah my FALD has terrible banding. I’ve been told by a friend who has a lot of knowledge on displays that banding is unavoidable with FALD. But if the Sony is less and manageable then nothing like it. My reason to upgrade is purely that and the game mode washed out pq with LG. I have recently switched the consoles to PC input which has super low lag and the pq is still appreciably better.

Do you have white banding (vertical bars where the dimming zones end) on dark scenes with HDR/DV? That’s one thing that annoys me the most with FALD and if the X900H doesn’t have this issue then it’s a better deal purely money wise than the CX.

yeah bro. The thing that put me off is when the engineer said they don’t do courtesy replacements for everyone. It’s purely subjective. As if the panel lottery wasn’t enough now this. But yeah nothing beats oled. I’m on an LG FALD set but always envious of the oled magic.

That’s obvious FALD going vs OLED. I was about to bite the bullet on the CX a little over a month ago when a brand engineer told me burn-in is not covered neither under manufacturer warranty nor extended.

Is the blurryness at 120hz fixed on the X900H? Read something around it a month ago and a friend advised to stay away from it until that it fixed. Really interested in this or the CX ( them deep blacks )

QQ : Anyone knows if the 5 at least supports multiple external hdds plugged in simultaneously? The pro doesn’t sadly. Xbox always supported this ever since they went for external support. My use case would be the slow mechanical hdd for just hoarding. And a Samsung T7 1TB for actually playing PS4 games.

Also got Fenyx yesterday. So yeah absolutely no idea how I’m going to juggle both or even get a chance to play either considering the wife will be full on in Cyberpunk

Ah ok thanks man. I honestly wasn’t aware of that. So basically you can’t download a game to the internal ssd and move it to an external one to avoid re-downloading it when you actually want to play? That’s terrible but not surprisingly considering Sony’s rep of being quirky. I remember the PS4 didn’t have an option to pause/resume downloads for quite a long time. Also external hdd support came only in 2017 IIRC. Not surprised ?
