    Hey guys, how is Airtel broadband service in Delhi? Speed/reliability/complaint resolution time etc?

     

    Also they have a 1299 plan for 512 KBPS unltd with night speed of 1MB and a FUP with an 80GB cap. Is that a good plan for gaming?

     

    Currently I am on MTNL 512KBPS. It works less often than it doesnt but there is no fair usage BS. Is 80 GB enough?

     

     

    I download TV shows (which isnt a big deal in size) and games from Steam (which is a big deal) but I think I should be fine in 80GB. I havent monitored my usage in MTNL but it shouldnt be more than that.

     

    What about the other stuff? Customer service, speed etc?

    Afty bro get airtel with ur eyes closed. The fup limits seem better for delhi compared to mumbai. Service is just top notch. I doubt any other provider even comes a mile close to airtel broadband's service support. No more acting all sweet-sweet with the mtnl line-man so that he does not cut the line deliberately... no more bribing the holy hell out of those babus :O

     

    If u r sure you're not going to cross 80gb the plan sounds great VFM. And as sufyan said, no extra download charges even *if* u do manage to go over the fup limit. The speeds will just be halved. You do get a notification as u hit 80% of ur fup limit.

    As for speed, its common knowledge that airtel gives a little more than the speed u pay for. On a 1MBps line u can expect downloads of around 135-145KBps on http/ftp and 120-142KBps on torrents ( especially private trackers ).

    Whoa... didn't know the match went all the way down till the last 15-20 mins. Would've been the "kolkata screw-job" had the officials offered light to the last batting pair.

    Great win... and awesome comeback by team india after being molested and manhandled by the proteas in the first game. :P

     

    Heard the commentators mention bhajji and dhoni wont be in the one dayers :huh: hope i heard wrong !! No yuvraj,, god knows if zak makes it as well.

    While i despise mano for almost bring my balls in my mouth... i did not get any of the popups on clickin his linky. Am using Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. Is there something i need to do to check if my system is compromised?? i mean apart from the regular full system scan by the AV???? :chair:

    Also, akthar was never a good swing bowler, all he had was speed (scary speed) and that went away when he got fat and old.

     

    not fat and old... akhtar somehow started thinkin he could pull off a salman khan clone. Needlessly buffed up... i remember seeing one video of him training. And he had all muscles and bulk like a weight trainer. Now how would one bowl 150kmph+ lugging around that much weight? :)
