So, went ahead and cancelled. No point holding on to it if the Goddamned seller himself doesn't want to deliver.

Physical is always better, you can buy cheap PS4 games and run on it as well. Everyone who has a PS5 here got it from Grey market or imported so that’s the route you need to take if there is no launch by end of Jan 21 or wait endlessly -
