  1. Nope, but I guess u can try, also you will need active glasses

    Yes you can.

IMO theaters use passive 3D so any passive 3D glasses should. Problem is most TVs at home use active 3D so they won't work in theaters.

Most theaters use passive 3D but some (e.g. Cinemax the one near Athek's place) use active 3D, the glasses have batteries.

  2.

When in doubt, always go for 2D.

Truer words were never spoken. I also find 3D way too dark and I already have glasses so watching a movie through two pairs of glasses is quite irriating.

For the first time I have noticed that Cinepolis near my place has actually kept one show in 2D . So 2D it is. But at a wtf time of 4:30pm  .

Yesterday night when I turned on the PC, it gave a CPU fan error on an "American Megatrends" page, asking to go to setup(UEFI/BIOS). There, it didn't even detect a fan on the CPU. I think I shut down the PC yesterday afternoon, but I now doubt that seeing this as I think either I forgot to switch off or someone turned it on later in my absence. The PC had also given a warning that temperature had reached 73 degrees the last time IIRC(the heat here is unbearable, and I live without AC - hostel room). I guess there is no other option now except buying a new cooler? Could this have done any additional damage besides the fan failure? It was the stock Intel fan if it matters.

BTW, if anyone here built a new PC recently with an aftermarket cooler, can you please sell your stock fan to me if I need one?

    Which CPU?

Dude, it could've been worse... CPU could've fried. So be thankful.

  4. Wow :/

Here - we have such slow Internet speeds and that's why we prefer to store our downloaded content , bringing the need for HDDs.

There - you have lightning speeds and literally never need to store anything , your transfer rates are probably equal to or lower than your download speeds

Dude, he has to store 'explicit content' he generates at home.

CPU cooler clearance 155mm. Hyper 212x wont fit.

Wow, didn't realise they gave that specification as well (good job, CM).

Well Afty that explains a lot. btw there is someone somewhere selling the 212 for Rs. 700... :P

  6. Yeah 2. But RAM shouldnt be a problem. There is room between the CPU and the RAM Slots.

    1. That space is rather limited.

    2. The heatsink is wide, and the push fan will extend it closer to the RAM slots.

You could try adopt different heatsink orientation. I think you should go for it.

  7. I was thinking the other day (about the folks enjoying the fine weather and broadband in Hyderabad). I figured I'd rather enjoy low FUP in a cool-breeze than high FUP in sweltering heat (take that, Beam lovers!)

  8. ^That kind of sucks as the RAM has a rather tall profile. You could place the RAM in the 2nd and 4th slots, that might help.

Edit : For some reason I am presuming you have (only) two RAM sticks.

  9. @Piper Cabinet clearance is 209 according to documentation. And factor in the mobo. It feels like it might be a tight squeeze. But then your cabinet is smaller than mine in width and yours fits. Hmmm.

I still fell like 130ish would give me enough room to breathe.

I suppose I could just lug the whole cabinet to Nehru place and have the SMC guys put it in. That way I dont have to worry about it fitting in. Its a PITA though.

Just measure the cabinet. Your cabinet has that bulge on the side(s) so heatsink height clearance should not be an issue there. AFAIK the Hyper 212 is the best bang for the buck, and pretty silent too. I haven't seen my CPU (i5 2500k) cross 60 degrees since I installed it.

Which RAM are you using? RAM heat spreader height might be an issue.

  10.

Stuff like that will do perfectly fine as long as you have a decent router/network setup. I played a bunch of State of Decay and that played pretty nicely. And that was in beta months ago.

I do wonder if you can do 3D through streaming though. Trine 2 is unbelievably good in 3D if you have a 3D tv.

I have 3D goggles, I've heard just using those gives same effect even on non-3D displays.

    :ha:

No 3D display here, never felt the need either.

  11.

@Alpha I am using the Cooler Master K380 cabinet. I dont think Hyper 212 will fit. Or if it will then it will just about fit. Something smaller maybe?

I have the CM Elite 430 and it fits fine. You need 158mm of clearance, pop off the side cover and measure the depth from edge of the cabinet till the motherboard.

Your cabinet should be fine I suppose :

  12. Also you can redeem the retail CD key on Origin if you want to add it to your Origin library.

When you start up the game, along with entering the CD-key it will ask to login with an Origin (EA) account or make a new one. Next time you start the game you just need to login with that account.

After that : In all probability, you can give the cd-key to someone else to redeem directly on Origin.

  13.

Considering the sh*t registration and client-server communication that BattleField has when you have perfectly normal latency, the added latency is a hit in my opinion.

    Piper to the rescue. =P

I was hoping to be able to play titles like Trine 2. or any other game which is controller-friendly. Even Sleeping Dogs is installed but in backlog.

Wish me luck (in playing other titles than Battlefield).
