    Played with the UK version of the HTC One that a colleague received today.

    I need a new phone for myself and I'm thinking about the HTC One... Will be my first HTC so I'm a little skeptical about it... Would you guys mind answering a few queries before I can decide whether to get it or not :

    1) How is the display's intensity and auto adjust power outdoors / in sunlight

    2) Can the camera be compared to more conventionally measured 8MP (atleast) cameras?

    3) my friend is going to be coming to India around 20th May from the US, by when should I tell her my final decision in case I wanna buy the phone (keeping in mind the shipping time and stuff)

    4) A 64gb HTC one is costing her 650 USD so that makes it 37k-ish, any ideas around what price it will be released in India?

    dude congrats, also please post a small review of yours about the phone, it will be nice to know somebody's perspective coming form Symbian and using Android after it is well matured.

     

     

     

     

     

    Just ask me. I was a Symbian fanboy since 2003, owned 3 symbian devices i.e 6630, N70 ME and N82. In fact, I was an admin on a very popular Indian Symbian forum, (which soon turned into a adult site :( ). And for me, migration from Symbian to Android has been fantastic and perfect upgrade.

    same here man, the site I was a moderator on turned into some youngistan sh*t at first and the into some spam spewing crap hole :(

    Fun fact: there is a difference between disc and disk

    Disc: contains electronically stored data eg: dvds, blu rays etc

    Disk: contains magnetically stored data eg: the floppy disks

    Folks check out home flip on the plays store... It's brilliant... Makes switching between apps much easier... And it's free!

     

    I set it to display a list of recently opened apps on double clicking the home button.. Just what I needed!

    I'm from Delhi. Yup know about the Accenture drive.But I would have to relocate and I'm a bit reluctanct to relocate at this moment. Thanks for the heads up though. :cheers:
    I had relocated to pune for my initial training for 2 months... they gave me 15 days free accommodation in a 4 star + per diems +10k for.... after the training I got a project back in mumbai and got 50k+per diets again for relocation (no housing as it was my base location)... That's a cool 60k+ you can make only in relocation :D And I guess there is some new thing in Accy where you can opt for projects in Gurgaon and Kolkatta because they want to expand their hub there Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

    Guys what's a good new rom for the Galaxy Note? Skimmed through the Android Development thread at Xda none seemed to be working flawlessly... Need a flawless rom so that i can convince my sis to exchange her Nexus with my note :P

     

    Also i just installed latest PA on the Nexus 4...it is pure magic! Check out the video on YouTube... It's gorgeous!

    Damn you, Google/LG! There are people who still haven't got their Nexus 4 even till now! I just hope I can order one before Nexus 5 hits the market. :(

    I made my friend order it before 2 weeks before I reached the US and i still had to wait for another week after that... But I was pretty lucky to get it :D

    Which keyboard are you using AtheK? SwiftKey? You are making a lot of mistakes that look like auto correct mistakes :P Viber works well on 3G but rarely anyone uses it
    @sacky: I actually use SwiftKey and it really helps me avoid mistakes... Why no love for SwiftKey? The flo version is WIP but I think SwiftKey X is one of the best keyboards out there currently! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

    ^It is asking to find the probability of getting at least one "1" when you throw two dice simultaneously. Since there are 36 ordered pairs of elements from {1,2,3,4,5,6}, and 11 of them have a 1, so the answer is (d) 11/36. Nothing funny here. 1 is written as ace in many places.

     

    Arey I know re... I saw the word "ace" with dice for the first time that's why found it so funny(I need to get out more often) .. Btw I did as 1 - the probability of getting no one's and got D... Most of the times the easier way in "atleast" type of sums.
