Got myself a G4 plus some days back. No magnetic sensor is an issue sometimes, when playing ingress or navigation. However, i am very happy, coz i replaced my S5, that POS used to work like a power point presentation.
Also, convinced my friend to buy Zuk Z1, its a very nice phone, and was almost tempted to return my phone and get that one.

Avast really isnt very good. Its not as bad as Mcaffe or Norton but really not that great.
Tried the Jelly thing, it does not provide the key to Office. Only does that for windows 10 for me.

Solved the scroll pad problem by installing new driver.
Uninstalled AVAST and my internet connection at home became almost unsuable, the DNS would be unreachable 75% of times. reinstalling avast to see if the issue get rectified.
The battery life is down by more than 50% this is despite the installation of latest drivers.
Thought of resetting the windows, however, i would be loosing out on the install of Rome total war game as well as office (to which i do not have the produt key anymore)

Got the search working again. However, the scrolling on the click pad gets inverted with every restart.

No you will have to create a bootable media (USB or optical) and reinstall everything from scratch, drivers and the whole shebang.
Cortana is automatically switched off. The search was working like 20 mins back and its not working now even after 3 restarts.
Would not like to go through the whole hassle of downloading the drivers and stuff. Will just stick with this and see how it goes for next 3-4 days

I meant format and reinstall the OS. Provided, you have the win 10 iso or Bootable drive.
After my update failed the first time, I chose to download the iso instead of attempting the update directly again.
Been using only Win Defender since 8.1, yet to face any problem.

No i dont have it in any physical media. Will resetting the PC do the trick? am only worried about having to re install all the drivers again.

how to do that? Things are better in terms of speed now. but there is still some erratic behaviour, some times the search does not work and right now my notebook mouse scrolling has been inverted
i cant even get it back to normal Also, should i go ahead and uninstall avast, Win Defender in 8.1 was giving me problems so i had stopped it, might give this defender a try
Edit: Also the task bar keeps refreshing/blinking itself whenever i have edge opened. Also, managed to bring normal scrolling back

After 4 hours in total. The update was installed. Two times, I got critical errors on startup saying the windows button and cortana is not working. Got it working after 3 rd restart , the disk is running constantly 90-100% busy. So can't go anything else from last 30 mins. The startup, restart and shut down everything has considerably slowed down

It's around 90% mark now(preparing for installation). It's opening additional dialog boxes which require user input. So if 4 hour is standard time, my sleep is f**ked up tonite

Thks will try that.I made the same mistake and wasted over 3 GBs. Stupid POS can't detect/resume existing download.
Apparently, instead of re-running the upgrade tool if you go to the download location and run the setup file it resumes the process (or, at least, skips the download). Haven't tried this myself.

Somehow the windows 10 got downloaded, however, the installation was stuck in about 30% saying 'preparing the files' this was taking forever, so i shut down the PC and tried doing the installation now, and the download is starting from 1% again
how come the downloaded files disappeared?

got the S5, the phone color looks neat, the battery drain was worse then my 2 year old htc one, maybe coz it was the default charge. Why would samsung just bundle a normal USB cable, when the phone actually supports USB 3.0 is beyond me. Luckily i had a Note 3 cable lying around, which i am using for this now.
Using samsung android after being on HTC for so many months, and the UI feels kind of 'cartonish'

I used the phone for some bit, it does not get hot. It does get a bit warm, but all the phones get warm whilst charging. Moto G4, get even more hot as compared to Z1. The finger print scanner is also good on Z1, but G4 has the best finger print scanner. Both of them are best phones right now in this range. I've never been happier with purchase of a budget phone. Tell your friends to go for G4 plus or Zuk, updates are also guaranteed on stock android.
