Finished siofra river. Think I beat every boss in the starting area except Crucible knight. Now taking on stormveil castle. I'm at the rampart tower checkpoint and I'm pretty sure I've explored every nook and cranny from there and not able to find my way ahead. I best the first boss and a Crucible knight type. Dunno where to go.

At Stormveil castle after Margit? Check the side area to talk to an NPC. Otherwise if you're done with the main boss, Godfrey, head out to Liurnia. The castle is also manoeuvrable via jumping around to reach different areas.

Elden Lord at 45 hours in, man I have such mixed feelings after finishing it. Spent the last three hours on the final boss and hated the design but the ones before it were such amazing fights. I’m not a big fan of how they’ve nerfed the melee build in this game, even PvP is filled with people spamming spells.

I’m 35 hrs in and not even finished Liurnia and just entering Raya academy.  There is so much stuff to do, I have to keep a note app open on my phone to keep track of quests.

I’ve killed bosses and then had to wiki what their drops actually were.

BTW any World boss in the first area missing (Not dungeon ones)? I would like to try to finish them off before progressing further. Can't be sure if I missed any since the map is so vast.

Have you finished Morne Castle and the boss at the end? Off the main pathway and you get an achievement for it as well.

  4. Margit down in two tries. People were making him out to be the toughest boss in Souls and he’s basically a very slow, less agro Owl.

Where are the farming spots for smithing stone? I’m still on Uchi-2 and haven’t found that many in the game.

Has anyone gotten ensnared by the transporter trap yet?

I did and I got transported to some underground mine. The first thing I see there is a message saying "I wanna go home now", followed by a trail of bloodstains :samui:

10/10 would recommend the transport trip.

Yeah the area gave serious Bloodborne vibes. Had a feeling it was a trap since for once there were no messages on the floor. The city had some sorcery spells and a staff in case that’s your build.

I made my peace with From Software's engine and their graphics. I was cynical at first for Elden Ring graphics when I finished the Demon's Souls on PS5 last year. But it's more about the game tbh.

I don’t really care about graphics. But they made such a huge leap forward in Sekiro: posture breaking and enemy move set that you have to memorize is genuinely satisfying.
Here as soon as I died to the first boss, rolling around and slashing and just cheesing a victory out of it: i realized I don’t enjoy this sh*t and I literally don’t have time to do this anymore.

  7. Played a few hours…whatever gave this 97 on metacritic, I have yet to see. The horse fighting is atrocious and the game seems to lean on it for the first boss fight.

Returning back to Horizon: FW, at least that game respects my time.

Played for 2 hours yesterday, game is beautiful for sure, but I have a hard time locating environment markers, as the foliage makes them hard to see most of the times. Not sure if this is by design, lol.

You can switch on the setting to show chests in the environment without clicking R3.

  9. Just two hours in but not feeling it. The open world is kind of ugly and miss the FromSoft detailing and level design. The combat is also a huge step down from Sekiro. Huge fps drops on the PS5.

HDR issue is still there for me. The over sharpening and color tone change while moving the camera.

Was it included in patch fix? Or is it just “known issue and we will do it in our next patch”?  Weird patch note if that’s the case. People would assume it’s included in patch.

Weird. I only had this in the beginning. A restart fixed it.

I'm not sure how writing your character like a complete prick helps with relatability.

Every interaction so far involves NPCs sucking her proverbial dick and she being an a**hole about it. All the returning characters are like wow bro you're so awesome and she's like I don't have time for this sh*t I'm too important. One particularly egregious section was where a returning character asks her to have a drink and she's like f**k off I got work to do but then I went to the bar to have a drink with her and did a bunch of side quests so what's the point?

My guess is you’re not that far into the game? Her not having time for friends and allies is the whole point of her character arc. When you have the whole world to save, “normal” people and their concerns can seem very small and unimportant.

For people playing: how is the inventory management?

One thing that irritated me in the first game is my inventory got full almost  immediately and stayed full for the whole game

Its the one complaint i have with the game. The bottom d-pad where you place all the bombs, potions, rocks, food and scrolling through it is a huge pain.

  13. Such an awesome game. Serious Witcher 3 vibes. Tons of lore, gorgeous to look at, addictive combat. Literally 9 hours of play before you even enter West of the title. And even the side quests have great voice acting and character design. Look at something in the distance, and you have no idea what you will find there. Haven’t had that feeling for a open world game since RDR2.

Free roaming  in resolution mode, switching to Performance mode when combat starts.

20000 ppl have died in US in 2 weeks of 2022!!!

    In 2 weeks!

Yet you wouldn't see a single photo of mass cremations and funerals.

Shaming countries for its dead bodies is reserved only for India

There is enough “shaming” happening here, it just depends which news bubble you want to be in. If there were literal bodies floating down the Mississippi and funeral pyres you could see from a satellite, it would have been as loud.

Also find it very weird the obsession people have of posting stuff about other countries leaders (endless posts on Fauci, Kamala, Biden). Indians should be the last people to give advice on who others should be electing….

65% double dose coverage if you actually read the read the article.

Mumbai administration's covid response is top class.

I'm in the US right now and was in London during the big surge, and while I don't think any local body can really stop the virus, the Mumbai authorities at least cared. They still sealed building, were doing track and trace early on (don't know if this still the case), call everyday on positive cases, vaccine distribution, etc.

Nothing like this exists in our city here. People have just decided to become fatalistic in the face of it.

  16. Loved this game until...you realize that there is only one way to kill all the visionaries. That if you basically do the questlines, the game will handhold you to reach the end and that is the only way to play or finish it.

Going in I thought there would be multiple ways to kill them, mix and match to bring them together for the perfect loop. It's pretty deflating. And since the game is never really difficult, the puzzle solving was the main draw after a while. There were infact more ways to kill in Dishonor than over here.

The game needed a secret ending, where you can somehow bring everyone to the party or open them up in different areas of the game.  Still a solid 8/10.
