  1. The focus and polish on this thing is incredible. The developers achieve what they set out to do very well. Honestly, I can't think of anything that I'd want to change in the game.

The depth of field in the world which gives you info about your environment, the sound design, the lighting, the character animation, especially the last bit. The puzzles were never hard, but the larger-level spanning puzzles felt EPIC.

  2. The ending...wow. The character animation was amazing there. Terrifying, weird and kind of uplifting game. Everyone should definitely try this. I didn't think too highly of Limbo, but this is just another league. The puzzles are satisfying and the stealth can be pretty hard.

  3. Corrected.

    1. Make an open world filled with filler or latch onto previous games built-in nostalgic audience
    2. Add a bland protagonist. Give him a gun &/or Superpowers
    3. Fulfill power fantasy of bored gamers. Start work on the sequel/re-paint of the game before the game is out.
    4.???
    5. Get the sheep to $ for their own dumbing down.

What kind of sh*t passes as games these days SMH.

  4. Anybody using IRIS saber and feel like it's NOT worth it? It does the damage and looks fantastic, but at price of ~25%? HP which kind of puts you in very danger state while fighting bunch.

I had no idea that it even did it until 3 boss fights into B&W, where I suddenly died for no reason that I could think off. The Viper sword shaves a few points but is as good.

BTW B&W is epic. SO huge for so little money. Just a big goodbye to the series, a thank-you note to the players.

Honestly, this makes me hate EA, UBI and other big greedy, risk-averse developers even more. I don't think they will take any lessons from this though.

  5. Guys, should I get the free levels from Yoel of Londor?

I honestly don't care about the true ending. It will be a worthless cut-scene for sure. So any other reason to go that path?

You can take the free levels but will have to roam around looking hollowed. (You can reset that by paying 5000 to the statue of Velkla at the bottom of Undead Settlemant or buying a ring from a character a little later in the game).

  6. ^thanks ! I did complete the armourers side quest. I think I have covered mostly every side quest till now ( I have completed the griffin contract ) . The game is very vast and deep. I guess it takes some time to fully grasp the importance of small things. Still haven't quite understood Gwent.

I didn't even understand Gwent until I reached Skellige, ignored it till then. Keep playing a few matches here and there, and eventually you will get the hang of it.

Also you finished Griffin contract so you should have been in Velen proper by now. Game doesn't start until you leave the opening intro area.

  7. Guys how can I level up in this game apart from doing quests and contracs? I'm level 3 but need to reach level 5 before I complete rest of Nilfgaardian Connection.

Do the side missions and witcher contract. The funny thing is mid-game you will begin to curse the quick leveling because it will downgrade the quests and monsters.

Started playing Hearts of Stone before the expansion: superb questline and story. Beginning and end are just amazing. Very moody, creepy and you want to race ahead to find out more about the characters.

  8. Why was everybody so down on Irythyll Dungeon? I thought this was going to be like Blightown, but passed through without dying once.

    Pontiff Sullivan though...that's another story.

  9. How many of you want to play standalone Witcher game based on Ciri?

I’m really glad we can move on to something else, because I worked on The Witcher for 12 years already. It’s time for something fresh.

I have to agree with them. Imagine if Tolkein (or his estate) kept churning out Middle-Earth books every year, the world would lose their magic and what makes them special.
I think the Witcher world (or even the Uncharted world) ending makes the individual games more memorable.
  10. I'll take more Nate/Sully banter in chapter 10 over another climbing sequence anyday. Nate barely registers as a character so far.

Some nice setpieces so far but more like "if you like the train stuff in Uncharted, you will like this" than anything truly memorable.

I liked the mundane moments in chapter 3-4 a lot though...

  11. What are your thoughts on that Jeep Madagascar level?. Man that level was way too long and boring.

Also that dialogue choices trailer was so misleading. Holy sh*t..lol

    Haven't reached that far.

The presentation is top shelf, as good as it gets. The sound is amazingly real and the level of detailing is insane. But the characters feel hollow, don't have the same sort of connection with Nate, or even any connection between Nathan and Sam.

  12. Superb opening. And you can see that the Last of Us team took over the game, they really let the small moments breathe. Controls and camera are as awesome as always. The first chapter gave a very Assassins Creed 2 vibe.

  13. GTS will be starting delivery tmr so expect it on Wednesday, Thursday. And these guys are the official distributors here FFS.

Every time I pre-order from them there is an issue, and I always end up doing it again because of their stupid coupon/balance refund from the last order they f**ked up.

(It took them over 4 months to get me a refund of 3K last year).

  14. iZombie is getting repetitive and I am only at 5th episode. New Case of the week type like Flash, but The Flash got much better with the common theme and Dr. Wells. I don't this going anywhere apart from solving case of the week!

The beginning gets repetitive. But it really picks up in S01 with the Major/Blaine plot-line. But yeah it never loses its case of the week thing even in S02, sometimes the cases are interesting or tied into the main plot, but most of the time its seeing Liz doing cool impressions.

I don't know I saw it once a week, so maybe this show isn't built for binge watching.

  15. That is actually one major issue I have with the game: there is actually no incentive to try out new weapons or armor. The starting weapon is good enough for almost the entire game (or till the part I have reached at The Catacombs). There isn't any part I have reached where I wished I had spent points in intelligence or faith. Even getting spells as treasure is only useful to read the lore.
