There's an awesome 7 page interview with gow3 game director at nowgamer.com. stig comes across as a real nice guy completely opposite to david jaffe. he talks about the other action games without badmouthing them *cough* definitive racing game *cough* why they haven't shown much of the game yet, the future of the franchisee and more.

Lots of GOW3 hate comments at gamersyde.Most of them are saying the textures looking very low res,with terrible depth of field and i felt slapping this guy for making such a comment "and I second that. People seem to think we're trolling here when we're not. Like I said and others here said: The game looks good, fll stop but some of you are trying to make it a graphical benchmark.

    But you know, at the end of the day, it's david jaffe who should be slapped when he said it looks like a painting coming to life"

  3. When i am playing a game like God of War i am not going to keep seeing how many vertical and horizontal lines the game can chuck,all i am going to be seeing is Kratos fighting his arse off in Style and thats what i want as a diehard fan of the Series

    when GOW III was announced, one of them n00bs (mayb tretton) announced very boldly that the game wud be native 1080p and 60fp. guess they ran out of time or power.

    every current gen ps3 game can upscale to 1080p.

    1080p is useless over 720p without the added detail. merely upscaling wont improve anything. seriously. anyway.. not even the videophiles can tell a difference bw 1080 n 720 on screens less than 40 inches. and even then u need to be sitting painfully close.

     

     

    It was David Jaffe the Great Legend who announced during God of War2 launch that God of War3 will run at 1080p native and will run at 60fps and would have motion controls.

  5. 60 fps > pretty graphics.

     

    Thats what i felt with God of War1 and 2 in the Collection,there was never a moment the frame thought of dipping.But when i played god of War1 and God of War2 in 2005and2007 on the ps2 i could see some frame rate dips here and there.60fps just makes the game play and look silk smooth.

  6. true, no point having a game which stutters really bad in intense situations with lot of enemies...

     

     

    The game can upscale to 1080p.And none of the previous God of War games played on the PS2 suffered from big annoying frame rate dips.So Sony Santa Monica would definitely look into the issue

  7. Sir Stig Asmussen in a recent interview to an Arabic website mentioned that the game will run with variable frame rates between 30-60(something which MGS4 suffered from ) depending on the number of enemies on screen.Why cant the clock the FPS at 60 and stay at that mark?

    Koller: Well, let's start with God of War. God of War III is going to be what many, and maybe most, games really aspire to be. It's an absolute, fantastic ending to the trilogy. Just seeing some of the gameplay around here, hearing everybody yell and scream when they play it at night with some of the early copies -- it's going to be exciting for the market. It's going to be a fantastic game.
