  2. Nordic Games to publish Alan Wake PC at retail

Nordic Games has announced this morning it’ll publish the PC version of Alan Wake at retail.

A more specific release date is expected “in the next few days.”

“We’re very excited that we have the opportunity to bring the PC version of Alan Wake to retail and the fans out there,” said Remedy boss Matias Myllyrinne. “Working closely with Nordic Games we can deliver an amazing experience to PC gamers.”

Added Nordic Games CEO Lars Wingefors: “We are really looking forward to the PC version of Alan Wake, especially as we are talking about a fantastic PC adaptation thereof, rather than a mere porting of the code. We will talk about this in more detail in the upcoming weeks.”

  3. Stalker Online’s gameplay footage surfaces; an MMO adaptation of STALKER by CyberTime System

A few hours ago, a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 video was uploaded to YouTube and although this is not footage from GSC’s upcoming gem, it’s definitely from a STALKER game. In case you are wondering, it’s from STALKER Online, an online addaptation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. that is developed by CyberTime System and is built on the in-house BigWorld Engine. The game has been in development for quite some time and its Russian open beta phase has been running for quite some months.

GSC GameWorld has tweeted that this footage is not from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and that it could be from STALKER Online

  5. Payneful: Rockstar moves Max Payne 3 into May from March

Rockstar’s announced its pushed Max Payne 3 into May 2012, with more details expected later today from the publisher.

A non-specific date was given, neither for today’s May schedule change or when it was previously in March.

The new launch window sees Max brought into Rockstar’s typical launch period. Its released Red Dead Redemption and LA Noire in the past two Mays on record.

The move into Take Two’s FY2013 means the company now expects to report a net loss for FY2012.

“We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our company,” said Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.

  6. Remedy Says What Rockstar Has Done With Max Payne is "Brilliant"

It's never easy taking over an IP from somebody else. Especially when that IP is so iconic. Luckily, Rockstar Games is the sort of company who rises to a challenge and rarely lets us down. Although Max Payne has been in development for what seems like an eternity now, the closer we finally get to launch, the better and better it looks

"We absolutely love what they've done and couldn't be more proud of where the series is headed"

"I mean, they don't really make shitty games, do they? It's as if the Rockstar logo has become this, "Seal of quality."
